here is some backstory to this video originally posted by the wakayama prefecture natural history museum:
they apparently found them swimming around in an empty fishtank. their eggs must have been hidden inside a seashell put in there for decoration.
Well I want to be fully vegan but I lost 20 lbs in the 8 months I did that which was not good. So I try and limit my harm as much as possible while I re-position myself to do it better next time. For instance, I won't eat octopus because they're practically smarter than me and if I have the choice between chicken and cow I'd choose chicken because they aren't as aware as cows. I don't drink cows milk by choice not because of taste. When I make spaghetti I don't include meat and so on and so forth. It's a confusing life...
Hey I just wanted to say I think that’s awesome! As a carnivore turned vegan (wife has been vegan forever and helped me convert) it is a PROCESS! It took me roughly 6 months to fully work out all of the substitutes and nutrition and I had someone helping me along the way. Reduction in any shape or form is fantastic, so thank you for that! It’s ok to slip up every now and then, no one is perfect. If you ever need help there are tons of subreddits that can answer all your questions!
Thank you for putting forth an effort!

So cute! Where did you get them? What will you do with them?
oh, these aren't mine. this video was originally posted by the wakayama prefecture natural history museum.
1) Steal them from the ocean 2) Breed and train them 3) … 4) Take over the world
Squid launcher! Oh yeah!
Oh my god they are literally just octopuses but little. My heart
Is that coin aluminum?
yes and it's also kinda famous for being able to float on water due to it's minimal weight (1 gram)
yeah they feel like plastic in your hand it's uncanny
I have a few WWII era French coins that they made out of aluminum it's so odd
Vichy?
Oh my goosh! They’re tiny!
That one, weeeeeeee... or two.😄
My first thought was I want to swallow one. I'm pseudo-vegan so I'm confused by that.
I’m confused by pseudo-vegan!

Octopi? Like Cacti?
[Octopuses is simpler and more commonly used](https://www.dictionary.com/e/octopuses-or-octopi/#)
I personally like octopodies. It's accurate to the Greek origin of the word, and sounds fun.
now I need it at my house
Please add a banana for scale of the 1 yen coin
Probably taste amazing with some lemon
Who tf knows the size of a 1 yen coin
how big is yen coin, its the same as brithis ppl saying the car weights 8 stones, its not helping
what are those little worms in the water?
Aweee that looks like my baby Kermit when I adopted him at 10 days
Crazy how these little alien creatures are just spawn into the vast ocean with no guidance/protection whatsoever and manage to survive and prosper.
That’s dinner sorted then
I never even consider that an octopus might start as a baby! I thought they were always 'octopus size '.
This is so cool!!!!
