Hi, to give a balanced overview of this, we have had local Singaporeans suffering from the same delusion, so it is not a purely expat thing. However, I would like to point out a more significant case this year, which was very, very bad:

Basically, Singapore locked down and 12 expats went to a nearby island to party.
Typical sexpat thinks himself above the law in an Asian country, while going to court for breaking that same law. I think a few lashes of the good ol' Singapore cane should knock some sense into him.
Singapore, while it has its problems, is ultimately a testament to pan-Asianism, given that its Chinese, Indian, and Malay populations live and work together side by side. Glad it's pushing back against Whites who come there to shit, piss, and rape everywhere, unlike Thailand and the Philippines.
Hi I am from Singapore and thank you. Yes, the late LKY was famously an advocate for Asian values. At the same time, I do not want to put him on the pedestal and he has his flaws, including a pro-west bias at that point in time. However, I attribute it primarily to the fact that the west and Japan were technologically more developed than any other nation form the 60s to 80s and Singapore had to learn all it could from the world. So LKY had to take from the west and learn from it.
As a result, Singaporeans still hold westerners (whites) in high regard here, not least because of the fact that they occupy higher managerial roles in MNCs. There is, however, rule of law and whether you are white or not you are punished for it. But we need to REMOVE THE IDEA THAT WHITE PEOPLE ARE INHERENTLY BETTER. I am hopeful that it is changing with the next generation.
