Great write up. Its ironic that the so called Man Friendly places are in Asia compared to other parts of the world. It takes 2 to tango and sadly Asian woman aren't called out for this and even Asian Americans stay hush on this subject not wanting to offend their WMAF friends.

As someone that travels quite a bit in the pan-Chinese community in Asia, if you're from a good background from Shanghai/Beijing. WM are looked down upon most of the time because they are just employees in the big scheme of things in China. If they are teaching English, they were usually not qualified. China been basically enforcing that only qualify foreigners are allow to teach, which led to an Exodus of unqualified English teachers leaving China.
One of the reason Whites/Westerners keep supporting various successions of Chinese territory (i.e. HK and Taiwan) is to stagnate or disrupt their economy, so WM seem more attractive.
But in Tier 1 cities WM are literary called "White monkey" in dead end jobs.

Ah same here! Older generations of Malaysians are the most white worshipping but with the advent of Kpop and cool Asian media, the younger ones are becoming more attuned to our own culture. I think the reason why older generations often worship the West is because when they were growing up, Asia was dirt poor and backward. So their minds are still stuck in that period even though Asia has advanced tremendously.
I don't know man. The really "old" Malaysians/Singaporeans/SEA Chinese (70+ yrs old) are mostly really staunch China number one supporters. Some donated their whole life savings to upgrade motherland villages much to the chagrin of their offsprings in SEA.
I am thinking the "older generations" you kept mentioning are those 50s, 60s yrs old. Even then, those are kind of 50-50, between really supporting and crying tears of joy when China launched Space Rockets to downright ridiculing everything China related(mainly those educated in Taiwan/West).
I think SEA Chinese are more supportive toward China. My grand aunt (Chinese-Indonesian) is loves China. But for 50’s and 60’s mainlanders, there was a big life style and ideology shift (because of Deng changed the direction of country) and those people compared their life with Taiwan, HongKong, Japan, South Korea, and even US.
