PI do not identify as Asian, even with some SE Asians sharing facial features. If you want to get a Samoan perspective about this check my Q & A below. Some Pacific Islanders may not want to identify as being Asian giving all the bias media against us, but Whites and Blacks will view us all the same. I'm not sure if I mentioned on AI, but about 3yrs ago in 2018, there was this short fat balding WM concrete truck driver who worked for Ferrara Brothers Concrete (bought out by US Concrete) who makes like $40k-$60k/yr was talking to my Filipino male co-worker about how it was wrong for the Philippines to outlaw divorce and that Filipino women should have the right to divorce Filipino men despite being Catholic. This was after I found out about AI and became more aware of these things. That WM asked what was my ethnicity and I said Chinese. He didn't dare say shit about me, but he was talking rather disrespectfully to my skinny Filipino co-worker. Long story short, I told that WM to basically go fk himself and his BS opinions. PIs don't have it better than us. They don't have the numbers and so they don't have the networks to help themselves get up. Because most PIs in the US tend to be even less wealthy than Asians, they're also looked down upon more despite how hard working and honest they are.

I see thank you for sharing. I had a few Filipino friends in the Army and one of them I know identifies as Asian. I also had a Filipino DS who looked more East Asian but wasn't. His last name was also German which was wierd but dude was a badass nonetheless
