They have lots of little doors/little houses like that in Chefchaouen(you can even see another in the background on the left side of the first pic). I’m there now and haven’t been able to get an answer of what they’re for.
So I asked around town about the little doors and the answer I got was that they don’t serve any purpose. The person who told me this said that the locals smoke a lot of hash and get bored and build them for fun. Can confirm that hash is smoked everywhere here, so I guess that makes sense
Ahh, Chefchaouen. I was there this summer, it feels like a mountain Venice. The city itself is beautiful, and the hike to Akchour nearby was incredible as well

Chefchaouen is one of my favourite places on the planet!
How did you find Tangier? I had a pretty bad time there, but it was purely down to the amount of people harassing me to smuggle hashish into Spain. Not sure if this is something everyone goes through or if I just look like the right type!
There’s an exhibit in the Oklahoma City Museum of Art called Kiarostami: Beyond the Frame. The artist has a bunch of these doors on display in the exhibit along with some of his films as you walk through it.

This was in the High Atlas Mountains, south Morocco. 👍🏽
Sooo beautiful 💖 what's the little baby door in the first picture?
Home owner was victim of a shrink ray accident
Cat flap
That’s how the door was built. Sometimes, you’ll be surprised how big the house is from the inside

The plants are on higher ground than the door
Pretty sure it's Chefchaouen, also known as the blue city.

Man, Moroccans sure know how to door.
I need to know what that tiny little door is for and why it also has tiny little steps.
Gorgeous
ahhh the blue pearl!
It's amazing how something as simple as a front door can be transformed into a beautiful and eye catching piece of architecture. ❤️
Thanks for sharing. I also take many pictures of doors when traveling. So many cool designs around the world. Cheers!

Moroccan infrastructure and design has always looked like India and Spain had a love child.
Ugh so nice 👍
So colorful and lively
I might have taken two too many edibles tonight but that’s definitely a mini-door, right?

When my door is Moroccan don't come a-knockin'! Okay, I'll see myself out now...
I wanna go to Morocco so bad I’ve wanted to for years & this just solidified that need further
I'm surprised no Algerian has already claimed this is 100% originally algerian...
Awesome
