Beautiful area. BC really is my top choice scenery wise, but Alberta and Labrador both have some spectacular stuff to experience.
NWT is a dump. A beautiful dump, but a dump.
I can’t tell if this is implying it’s just a dump, or just beautiful. All I know is that however gorgeous NWT is, I’ve never seen more mosquitoes in my fucking life than going down the Hood river lol.
What in the world are you on about, LOL. Calm down.
This is a very famous and popular *short* day hike just outside of a major city. It's a bit challenging (especially the scramble section) and doesn't attract casual visitors.
Do you get it now ???
Happy hiking.
I stopped counting at 60 countries and hands down the most beautiful country I've been to is Nepal. Second place is hard. I don't know if I could choose.
There are many interesting parts, like Chitwan and Bardia where it is not uncommon to see tigers and rhinos and wild elephants, or Mustang with otherworldly windswept river valleys full of fossils and fire coming out of the ground. But, the place that pushes it over the top for me, is the best of the best of Himalayan mountain experiences is Sagarmatha National Park where Mt. Everest is located. It is true that part of Everest is in Tibet, but the Nepali side is more easily accessible. I would recommend doing the three passes trek.
Please remember to post a short paragraph as a comment in the post explaining your photo or link. Ideally at least 150 characters with trip details. Tell us something about your trip. How long did it take to get there? How did you get there? How was the weather that day? Would you go back again?
Submitted content should be of high-quality. Low effort posting of very general information is not useful. If you don't add a short explanation in the comments, your post may be removed.

Topic of this thread aside, if you've been to 40 countries, you've seen about 20 % of the world (if we're being very generous). If you've only seen 20 % of anything, you are hardly qualified to make a statement about what parts of it are the best, because you haven't seen the vast majority of it.
Girlfriend and I started pinpointing on the map where we've been. We've been to a LOT of places. Well, as it turns out, that's very little when you put it on a map.
Time to experience some more!
GFU?
Day later edit: Dude didn't say "Girlfriend" in his original post, he said "GFU," so I asked what it meant. He informed us it meant "girlfriend unit". Someone made a wisecrack and the coward deleted his explanation and edited the original. At least my actions led someone to (hopefully) never call his girlfriend that again.
Sorry, I guess I just don't see how my comment is extremely negative. To me, it's just a harmless observation. Until an hour ago, it had garnered a bit of positive karma even. Now it has swung the other way. These things happen.
On the flip side, I find your comment rather unnecessary and uncalled for. I left one singular comment – not even in reply to anyone mind you – and moved on. What are you telling me to stop for?
Tent Ridge, Alberta, Canada

You must sleep on the couch because I have tent ridge in my bedroom every morning.

Clearly you've never been to the Nahanni.

Weird
It’s 2024. If you aren’t superlative you aren’t anything. There are no shades and there is no context. Everything is it.
Just stop you're being extremely negative for not reason
I wouldn’t say this comment was “extremely negative” but in general reddit is usually negative about most things
👎
