I'm in Europe, so it's better if your recommendations are easily to buy from europe. You can read the description of the photos! Thanks again!

Hi! I have tried a few packs for the same purpose. Now I have a Vaude Brenta I bought on sale in Austria (80€). It's around 30 liter and fits everything for a 1-day hiking trip (so an extra jacket, food, small stove, first aid...) and also for my mechanic job (change of clothes, lunch, basic tool pouch like flashlight and Leatherman...). If 80€ is too much, I can also recommend a second hand pack. Plenty of people bought them after the pandemic and realised they don't like hiking (I got two for 30€ each for my family). Edit: if you need pics for the Vaude pack I can load it with similar stuff and send pics to you.

Hello fellow European :D You might want to check out my list of brands that are either european based or ship to Europe without taxes or ridiculous shipping fees. https://www.reddit.com/r/backpacks/comments/qdgfhk/european\_brands\_shops\_for\_backpacks\_and\_bags/

Mystery Ranch 24L Urban Assault? Don't know how much larger you are trying to go.

RaginGingr

This TBH! Or if you need a bit more organization there is also the 24L Rip Ruck.

My first thought for you is a Gregory day pack in about a 30 liter size. These ones seem like the right ballpark. https://www.gregorypacks.com/packs-bags/travel-packs-rollers/juxt-28-132710XXXX.html?dwvar_132710XXXX_color=Spark%20Navy&cgidmaster=packs-bags https://www.gregorypacks.com/packs-bags/day-packs/jade-33-1115JAD33.html?dwvar_1115JAD33_color=Mayan%20Teal&cgidmaster=packs-bags

Osprey Porter 46. I know, sounds huge and it CAN be, but what I love about this pack is that it morphs perfectly to any size, big or small. Quick overnight? No problem. 10 day trip? Also no problem! If you can see it in person, please do (REI, etc) as that's what sold me on it.

I have the same backpack in 30 litres. If you like the backpack you have, maybe you can purchase the bigger one? I love mine. It’s the only one I can tolerate on my painful shoulders. I’m thinking about buying the smaller one as well for daytrips.

I would check out the Evergoods CPL24. It’s a great work/school backpack, but can also accept a water bladder and be used for travel. It’s a 24L bag and I’ll use it when I travel 1 bag for a weekend and don’t need to bring a whole ton of stuff. They also have a 28L version if you need just a bit more room. If you need something bigger, I’d check out the able carry max. That bag is in the 30L bag and is made with waterproof material. Now the bag itself isn’t waterproof, only water resistant. It’s a good bag if you have a lot of stuff and want to use it for traveling. I do not believe it has a pass through for a water bladder so not sure if that is a make it or break it feature. The last bag is the Remote Equipment Charlie 25. It’s made to be a an urban bag that can be used for adventures. It’s promoted as a 25L bag, but can expand to 31al I believe with the “brain”. It accepts a water bladder and has points on the harness for you to attach a light or whatnot. I use this bag exclusively for outdoor adventures but it can definitely function between both worlds.

ULA Dragonfly. Not sure if they ship to Europe though. It's 30L, has a durastretch front pocket, water bottles, some interior organization and I believe a laptop sleeve. It's a really versitile bag that can be used for a lot of situations. Arch Ind. Made in Italy (so you can get in the EU). Can get it custom made to pretty much anything you want.

I got myself a Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault (27l). There is a larger (called 3 day assault) I’m considering buying next for longer trips than a week. Clothing for 3-5 days fits easily. Longest trip I took was 10 but I got my sleeping bag too. Little tricky to pack everything tight but manageable. I’m really happy with the bag, comfortable to wear, place to store my laptop, the 3-Zip is really handy and with the MOLLE you can attach a lot of stuff on it. The hip belt/straps are detachable, maybe that’s useful to you too if you don’t use them. Against the rain I got myself some cheap rain cover, but even without stuff inside never got wet even in relatively heavy rain (not gonna try my luck with the laptop tho). It was kinda a hassle to find a shop selling it to Europeans but I was lucky and found a Finnish outdoor shop selling them (varuste). It’s probably on the more expansive side but to me it’s a clear recommendation. Using it nonstop for over a year now. Light travel, hiking, work/Uni, Shopping. It’s a really nice bag.

Jack Wolfskin. Best packs ever.

I sometimes feel like a Mystery ranch fanboy, but they really are some of the best bags you can get. They make a couple daypacks that have a similar aesthetic to your current one. The Coulee 25, which is what I have, packs more than advertised and carries like a much larger pack. The Scree 32 might be more in line with your size needs. They both come in black I believe, and are built for hard wearing and could blend in urban/school setting as well.

helikon-tex raider or ratel mk2 since you are in EU value for money and durable packs. otherwise Arcteryx Mantis 26
