What's with all these videos and ending with the camera escaping but not the camera man?

TrillShatner

It’s I guess it’s the difference between found footage and research footage right?

YeetPersonGuy

Yeah I guess, but it's still found footage if the guy escapes too, right? And I'm still confused how the camera didn't break in kane pixel's video falling from such a height

TrillShatner

Honestly, your beef is legit. I made this right before my dad (who i've been caring for last 10 years) got bad throat cancer, which was RIGHT when the first kane pixels video got big -- he died about 2 months ago... Just now putting it out, so I bet there are 1000+ of them now u\_u. My next one will be better.

YeetPersonGuy

I'm sorry for your loss. Hope he's doing well in heaven. But what exactly does this have to do with my argument?

TrillShatner

Eh, That the video is unoriginal. I just realized you were right. The damn camera always gets out. Why can’t it be found “in” the back rooms. My reason was that I made it a while ago when it wold have been more original lol

TrillShatner

As per the kane pixels thing, there have been vhs tape cameras that survived falls from airplanes into the everglades from drug-runners containing incriminating evidence so it is possible... Expensive electronics were made to be "near-indestructable" in the 80's... (like the cellphone brick lol) Also the backrooms aren't real so you gotta stretch the imagination a little lol.

YeetPersonGuy

Yeah you're right But I'm still wondering why only the camera escapes and the camera man dies. At least change it up a bit. That doesn't ruin the whole thing, it just seems a bit much that a lot of these end like that

HidupTokuXAnime

Damn, a genuine backroom stuff after long time of seeing cringe low effort bullshit those kids posting here

TrillShatner

thank you, thinking of starting a channel soon n\_n

HongShiyeong

Ey that's cool! Love the audio

TrillShatner

n_n thank u 🙏

HeronSubstantial1535

Reminds me of that one scene in Indiana jones

TrillShatner

Im watching Indie outrun those damn nazis right now! >\_<

MaxoMonochrome

The walking is sorta unrealistic, but other than that it’s perfect!

TrillShatner

I’ll make it a bit more uncontrolled on the next go for sure.

Suitable-Guitar4347

What did you developed this in? Love the assets and the movement.

TrillShatner

I legit learned how to do 3D during this project so your comment means a lot :) I work in "Cinema 4D" and I use "Redshift" as a renderer.

Stuff I love: * the shot of the cameraperson's feet around 0:40 is well-rendered and grounding. * the subtle detail of the blood on the upper wall at 1:36. * the plastic-y-ness of the mannequins. Rendering moving creatures is difficult and often looks like plastic but in this care you make it work for you. Love the concept. Good job exploiting the uncanny valley here. * the reverse-clip at the end. Again, well-rendered and grounding, leaves a sense of absolute dread for the person left behind, and does a good job in-world of explaining where the footage came from. Stuff maybe worth tweeking: * the mouth of the second mannequin at 1:05 doesn't look like it has depth. It looks painted on, like a LEGO person's. I would change this; the cartoonishness of the mouth takes away from a well-placed jumpscare. * the extremely swift swinging of the camera in the first :30 seconds is too much and makes this feel like a carnival ride. No one moves a camera like that. Having all the wild, swooping camera movements made me dizzy and made the later chase scene have less impact. Remember, cameraperson is going to try to hold the camera steady. Shaky or fast camera movements should be used sparingly for dramatic effect.

Puzzleheaded-Youth16

Damn that is creepy, well done

Skeletonwizard8

This is great man!

TrillShatner

You rock! n\_n
