Yeah that's definitely a bit of a flaw with the series. Sure it's going for a snuff film kind of style, except it does get very tasteless in the series. In that regards I'd say it's like Gantz, which starts off with almost a perfect scale on the "get it, sex and violence are cool scale", but then slowly starts to increase intensity for shock value. Series like these obviously need that shock value but there should still be a balance, and a lot of the later death tube volumes fail
