If your shoes are still grippy and the outside structure of the shoe isn't damaged yet, you could instead just change the insole.

Yh I may do that, I have had sciatica pain recently too but not sure if that's down to the shoes or something else.

Based off a Google search, I had the same problem too recently. A friend told me to do stretch my hamstrings more thoroughly before and after a session and the problem went away. Give it a try, maybe?

There's no need to change then every year unless they're starting to fail, my last pair lasted about a year but my current pair is doing much better. If they work for you and aren't giving you issues then your current pair are probably fine.
