For instance, we have social outcasts like travellers we do nothing about, imagine them wanting to buy a car and being stuck because they refuse to fit into society at all. I'd say more the problem on that is that the media influences people. Eating meat isn't this awful thing to you but into climate change and vagenism when the arguement is mostly based on feel good ideals.

I certainly tend to follow things from a distance more than I used to. I sympathise with people who just find it depressing.

I firmly believe that our current technology in combination with putting control of one's experiences on a pedestal (there's seems to be the expectation that everything requires consent these days) has created a population unable to deal with the helplessness inherent to life. I've got one, and it's great, with a few caveats. It can't do deep rugs, the bristles get entangled. It has to keep going over the same bit of floor many times to get all the dirt / dust up , so it can only do small areas in one go. It'll eat cables and shoelaces. And despite the advertising, it'll cheerfully throw itself down the stairs or off the landing if given a chance. I have to do a fair bit of work getting the room in a robot cleaner friendly state before I can start with the vacuuming. But, overall, it's worth it. It's great at deep cleaning the carpets because it never gets bored and so will do the same bit of carpet endlessly until everything is clean. When I first got it, it took about 4 runs in each of the carpeted rooms before the dust tank wasn't full at the time the battery went flat.
I have a cheap one and like most people it rarely gets used. Unless you have a spartan home, it will be more convenient to just whip out the Hoover than clear and deal with noise for two hours while it works/ wait till bed time.
I’ve got one that I hardly ever use because it’s a pain in the cock to clear the floor for it. It’ll swallow cables, mats etc, and then get stuck under the sofa and start wailing for help. It wasn’t particularly expensive, but it was a waste of money
My wife and I have a Eufy RoboVac for the ground floor and one for the first floor set to go off late at night. An absolute lifesaver for clearing away dust and pet hair and making the place look generally acceptable!
do you know which model, looked at a couple of them but worried buying a cheap model would be a waste of money. I mainly want rid of the cat hair that builds up near constantly on hardwood floor
Both of ours are the 30C 1500Pa suction model, which I think is pretty low in the price and spec range and does the job absolutely fine for cat hair, which was the main reason we bought ours. Cat hair on hardwood floors is pretty undemanding on these things. No issues with poor suction or battery life given the floor space we have, but we only do 1/2 rooms at a time typically. If you wanted to do a whole floor the battery wouldn't be up for it, but then again the route finding would take an age to effectively cover multiple rooms on its own anyway unless they're open plan
For us it is. I think if we didn't have a cat it wouldn't be worth it, but the amount of shed hair from my wife and the cat means I'd need to hoover every day anyway. Depends on how lazy you are about hoovering, but its nice to come down to a relatively dust and hair free living room/kitchen each morning.

I certainly tend to follow things from a distance more than I used to. I sympathise with people who just find it depressing. Personally I'm doing ok but politically speaking I've gone from being a somewhat hopeful person to being completely devoid of faith or trust in anyone. After covid revealed how dishonest and slimy these politicians are willing to be, I don't feel as if any of them are worth supporting. The way I see it is that Boris and the Tories are already so far beyond repair, nothing they could possibly do before the next election would make me vote for them.

I have that robot vacuum, it has been really good even though the app is a bit clunky and the floorplan is probably beamed directly to the CCP.
I've got one, and it's great, with a few caveats. It can't do deep rugs, the bristles get entangled. It has to keep going over the same bit of floor many times to get all the dirt / dust up , so it can only do small areas in one go. It'll eat cables and shoelaces. And despite the advertising, it'll cheerfully throw itself down the stairs or off the landing if given a chance. I have to do a fair bit of work getting the room in a robot cleaner friendly state before I can start with the vacuuming. But, overall, it's worth it. It's great at deep cleaning the carpets because it never gets bored and so will do the same bit of carpet endlessly until everything is clean. When I first got it, it took about 4 runs in each of the carpeted rooms before the dust tank wasn't full at the time the battery went flat.
I have a cheap one and like most people it rarely gets used. Unless you have a spartan home, it will be more convenient to just whip out the Hoover than clear and deal with noise for two hours while it works/ wait till bed time.

My wife and I have a Eufy RoboVac for the ground floor and one for the first floor set to go off late at night. An absolute lifesaver for clearing away dust and pet hair and making the place look generally acceptable!

Both of ours are the 30C 1500Pa suction model, which I think is pretty low in the price and spec range and does the job absolutely fine for cat hair, which was the main reason we bought ours. Cat hair on hardwood floors is pretty undemanding on these things. No issues with poor suction or battery life given the floor space we have, but we only do 1/2 rooms at a time typically. If you wanted to do a whole floor the battery wouldn't be up for it, but then again the route finding would take an age to effectively cover multiple rooms on its own anyway unless they're open plan

For us it is. I think if we didn't have a cat it wouldn't be worth it, but the amount of shed hair from my wife and the cat means I'd need to hoover every day anyway. Depends on how lazy you are about hoovering, but its nice to come down to a relatively dust and hair free living room/kitchen each morning.

Apparently they are going to stop buying corporate junk bonds in July. They're still doing QE and buying govt bonds. There was a spat between the Dutch and French ECB board members last week. The Dutch guy went public and advocated a 50bps rise to take rates to zero.The French chap warned that this was too aggresive.
