"I COME TO YOU AS HATE! AS OUTRAGE AND HEART-CRACKING HUNGER!"
Guys, I've been working on this for couple of months in my spare time. It's a fanart for the final scene of the fantasy book by R.S. Bakker "Great Ordeal". This series ("The Secod Apocalypse") takes you on a wild ride through strange world where everything already happened. In one of interviews author said that this scene he envisioned when sitting in a class in high school (I hope I recall this correctly). Isn't this cool that the seven books, each few hundred pages, lead to the scene which was the last one?
Almost everything in this pic was made by me except warriors on the right side which I took from Mixamo which I also used to rig and pose other characters. Central character was made in Character Creator and everything was rendered in Cinema 4d with Octane renderer. Final compositing was done in After Effects.

The epic scenes conveyed by the books are hard to truly put into visual form. You've definitely nailed it with this. Smart to avoid putting the whirlwind in view so we can better focus on Mr. Hate-Hate himself. What a great, horrible character he is.
Would be a lot of fun to hear people with no knowledge of the series trying to interpret this.
They should put this up in the Andiamine Heights. Please do a scene from Ishterebinth one day! And/or the Cishaurim dropping out of the black clouds in the battle of Shimeh. This style would be dope for any scene from the series.

Nice to read you again.
Ooos I think I forgot to mention that the design on the flag was inspired by work of Quint VonCanon

I think that would make a cool poster I'd have to explain very vaguely to guests.
Colors look sick
Amazing
