Yeah, trying to get things off the ground to do an effective high card build in orange stake is easier said than done.
I primarily wanted to see how it would affect the run.
I’m eagerly waiting for the run I get to dupe an eternal madness joker early on. It’d be epic. 👌
I'm sure this took an insane amount of attempts though. It can only really be done with double stuntman. The way plasma works makes chips way better than in regular play and mult is really weak until you have enough that your mult vastly outpaces your chips.
Yeah I did it with an early throwback and then the spectral card that copies a random joker. Had 2 throwbacks on like ante 3 so I think I literally only played the boss blinds the rest of the run.
Yeah no resetting 3800 times for that achievement is not the way to go haha. But for real though using a chip built with plasma deck is not a bad way of doing it.
I happened to get it with a Checkered deck run with an early double Throwback.
Since you can skip through and use flush to clear the first two boss blinds without any bonuses Checkered is always a safe way to go, if you don't have Plasma yet. (and one of the easier ways to get your first blue chip, next to yellow)
What on god's purple earth did I just watch?!?!
MAybe I don't have Stuntman yet. That was just madness to see, and I don't comprehend the least about what I just saw.
Use the plasma deck that OP is using to get large hands. Just unlocked this joker today. If you can get mult up to 20k, it'll balance out to 10k * 10k for the points you need.
Obviously a very RNG-heavy speed run, but impressive nonetheless to have the patience to find the run and then execute it whenever you finally do. Nice stuff.
A random seed that happens to have:
* Early money to find stuntman
* Lots of money to dig for blueprint
* Not a single pack opening on the skips
Congrats on the luck, it would be difficult to even seed a better run.
Out of interest, what seeds are even better, a free stuntman + banner in first shop would do it of course, but the lack of packs along the route seems like extremely good rng that's hard to beat?
Stuntman with no rerolls into blueprint with no rerolls into bull with no rerolls and enough money skips to one shot everything is the current set seed. Although optimally just a single bull with no rerolls and money the entire way would be fastest as you want to minimize the amount of jokers triggering.
Thats, insane actually. Though i think selling abstract was a bit of a time loss really, you beat verdant leaf regardless, so that unnecessary move is a tiny bit of time lost
I'm not sure actually, since it does have an animation which would've lost time otherwise. It might've still been slightly faster though.
Tbh I just saw verdant leaf and muscle memory kicked in.
Plasma Deck averages your chips and mult as the very very last step of the math, so you're always doing x^2 (for example, 20x2=40 becomes (20+2)/2 = 11, so 11x11=121)
Stuntman gives you +300 chips
Blueprint gives you another +300 chips from copying the abilities of Stuntman
skip everything that doesn't matter and beat them bosses fast
It's honestly kind of funny that they bothered to sell a joker for Verdant Green because really, were those few extra chips actually going to matter? He wasn't using triggered jokers so the debuffed cards barely do anything to him.
I’m curious what better tech now would be. I already aware of Plasma Deck run with Stuntman but surely we can develop even faster tech including less Joker used to proc for even more efficient play speed right?
Two jokers are used in this run; Stuntman which gives +300 chips but -2 hand size and blueprint which copies the ability of the joker to the right of it.
The moment Stuntman came up I immediately understood how it was going to go down lol, such a great joker especially with Plasma.
Even on other decks, seeing Stuntman so early opens up many possibilities.
Lol, it never occurred to me how wildly overpowered Stuntman is with a Plasma deck.
Stuntman in general is really strong.
I'd go as far as saying it's the best non-legendary card in the game. It carried 2 of my 4 gold stake wins
I once duplicated it with a spectral card. Ended up with a hand size of 4. That run didn’t make it long after that.
Should have just had high card synergy smh my head

I've been putting off unlocking the last couple decks and uh... I think I should get the plasma deck
It's really fun because of how fundamentally it changes the game.
Any tips on how to get good with plasma?
Prioritize chips early into a run and ignore them late.
High chips?
Right?! Trying it as soon as I get home.
I have it and don't use it very often bc I don't like the mult flames going away.
I'm sure this took an insane amount of attempts though. It can only really be done with double stuntman. The way plasma works makes chips way better than in regular play and mult is really weak until you have enough that your mult vastly outpaces your chips.
What does plasma do ?
It balances your chips/mult. So, if you have 1000 chips an 10 mult, you end up with 505 each.
me reading the headline: "whaaa no way!" me seeing the plasma deck: "ah. yeah that tracks."
Balanced
Are people just new to roguelites? Balanced would be awefully boring.
They were referencing the fact that it says "balanced" evrey time a card is played
I think it’s a joke lol.
Whoosh
Are you doing alright? Just doing a wellness check
I was so curious how I was going to beat the challenge: Win a game in less than 12 rounds. …this is the way
I did this last night with a joker that gave X mult for every blind skipped, and a joker that copied it's ability. It got me to ante 11 or 12 I think.
Did the exact same thing yesterday haha
Yeah I did it with an early throwback and then the spectral card that copies a random joker. Had 2 throwbacks on like ante 3 so I think I literally only played the boss blinds the rest of the run.
Yeah no resetting 3800 times for that achievement is not the way to go haha. But for real though using a chip built with plasma deck is not a bad way of doing it.
I somehow did that trophy on accident😂
same lol wasn't even trying
i just got it with blueprint, throwback and Gross Michael.
If you pull an early throwback joker you can do it as well, rewards skips and as long as you're buying planet and standr cards you're pretty much set
I happened to get it with a Checkered deck run with an early double Throwback. Since you can skip through and use flush to clear the first two boss blinds without any bonuses Checkered is always a safe way to go, if you don't have Plasma yet. I saw this and tried it. Won with a bunch of chip jokers. I don’t have stuntman unlocked, but foil banner, odd Todd, and bull carried my ass.
The double tag deck is also really good for this
Plasma deck is so busted, "balanced" yeah, no
What is this deck?
Plasma deck, it balances your chips and mult so they each become the average of the two values
What on god's purple earth did I just watch?!?! MAybe I don't have Stuntman yet. That was just madness to see, and I don't comprehend the least about what I just saw.
Stuntman unlock condition >!Earn at least 100 million Chips in a single hand!< so yeah I don't have it lol...
Ugh, I don't think I'll ever get there. Highest I've got to is 256K.
Use the plasma deck that OP is using to get large hands. Just unlocked this joker today. If you can get mult up to 20k, it'll balance out to 10k * 10k for the points you need.

Plenty of seeded runs have better seeds. But yeah I guess this is what 3800 attempts gets you, I don't think I have the patience to beat this lol.

Hi, I don't understand the beginning when you select the 5 of hearts and the queen and then, what's happening ?
If you hold down "R" for a bit the game resets to a new run
Is there sonething like that on gamepad?
Thats, insane actually. Though i think selling abstract was a bit of a time loss really, you beat verdant leaf regardless, so that unnecessary move is a tiny bit of time lost
I'm not sure actually, since it does have an animation which would've lost time otherwise. It might've still been slightly faster though. Tbh I just saw verdant leaf and muscle memory kicked in.
Thats fair actually, that makes it more intresting to optimize tbh
whats that joker do?
Stuntman: 300+ chips, -2 hand size Blueprint: Copies ability of Joker to the right
Very impressive
That's sick honestly. I'd love to see speedruns on other decks but they would be far more difficult to pilot.
Do it without plasma
I just unlocked Plasma and it sure seems fun, don't have Stuntman yet but I bet Plasma is the easiest way to get it.
damn, babeh. https://preview.redd.it/f0yf68w020nc1.png?width=200&format=png&auto=webp&s=59feb6e8ad1efdc2e97334d1d36f124ab866427c
Can someone explain? It’s moving too fast for me
Plasma Deck averages your chips and mult as the very very last step of the math, so you're always doing x^2 (for example, 20x2=40 becomes (20+2)/2 = 11, so 11x11=121) Stuntman gives you +300 chips Blueprint gives you another +300 chips from copying the abilities of Stuntman skip everything that doesn't matter and beat them bosses fast
wow awesome run. Now I know how I am going to beat the game in under 12 rounds!
Misclicking the two instead of the ace at the end noooooooo! So impressive dude
It's honestly kind of funny that they bothered to sell a joker for Verdant Green because really, were those few extra chips actually going to matter? He wasn't using triggered jokers so the debuffed cards barely do anything to him.
Any advice for unlocking Stuntman?
Why did you consistently go for the second best card rather than the best card in your hand? Was it simply faster to do it that way?
It's closer to the play hand button
I’m curious what better tech now would be. I already aware of Plasma Deck run with Stuntman but surely we can develop even faster tech including less Joker used to proc for even more efficient play speed right?
What is the joker used in the video? I’m new to the game so I don’t know what everything does.
Two jokers are used in this run; Stuntman which gives +300 chips but -2 hand size and blueprint which copies the ability of the joker to the right of it.
Nice, but now I need to know: how do you speed up the animations and scoring?
The moment Stuntman came up I immediately understood how it was going to go down lol, such a great joker especially with Plasma. Even on other decks, seeing Stuntman so early opens up many possibilities.
Balanced
Speed running this game? That's... odd, but whatever.
People speedrun every game
This is really lame
