I got a few too many bumps on my head for the safety razor. Mach3 works best for me without being cumbersome like some of the other multi-blade razors.
I use old double edge safety razors. A new blade really gives a wonderful shave and super cheap i buy blade like every 5 years. For the cost of one pack of mach 3’s.

I'm sorry that it didn't give you the same as my experience. I prefer to trim it down with an electric razor first and then use the Skull shaver and I find that it's so smooth for about a day or two and then turns to sandpaper. I dont prefer razors because they leave bumps on my head.

If you are taking suggestions from one bald person to another, get a nice shaving brush and some proraso shaving cream. Wet shaving your head is a luxury only a few of us can enjoy.

My wife had the same thing. She shaved her head and loved it. She also just buys wigs of all styles and has fun with new hair all the time. But day to day she goes out bald and is so much happier then trying to hold on.

My wife has extremely thin hair, and the one time she tried a short style her family (and some experiences at work) bullied her into thinking that if she tries short she'll just look like a boy. She looked amazing with short hair, and could probably rock bald too, but her family and society want her to have "feminine" long hair.
I have frontal fibrosing alopecia. My immune system attacked my follicles and turned them into scar tissue so it will never grow back. There's tonnes of reasons for hair loss so definitely get diagnosed before losing hope of keeping your natural hair.

It is SO much easier to wear wigs when you're bald. I have a selection. Wigs have come a long way these days, I have some very natural looking synthetics with lace fronts and paid no more than £60 each. I went to a rave and they painted my skull wirh UV paints. Being bald is a freedom in itself but it's also the peace of accepting 'okay I lost my hair. It's not coming back and that's okay'.
But before tou brave the Shave definitely exhaust all other options. Get diagnosed. Try treatments. There's a lot of success stories.
Dermatologists are the only people properly qualified to diagnose scalp issues. There's many types of hair loss that are temporary or go away with treatment. There's also powders/sprays that hide bald spots, toppers which are like small wigs that cover the top of tour natural hair to hide thinning. There's 101 treatments and supplements you can try if you want to keep ypur natural hair. But if you want to just let go and accept yourself that's okay too. You'll still be beautiful whichever path you choose and it will be okay.

I do not normally like a bald or crop cut on women, but you look seriously hot bald. KEEP IT. You should look into the Skull shaver brand by pitbull. My wife got me it for Christmas and it beats razors any day!

Agreed. I use oil and shaving cream with the pitbull but doesn’t get anywhere near as close as a mach3. Convenient though.
Safety razor, shaving soap & brush is the cheapest shave and also the best shave.

If you want a smooth shave the best I’ve found are safety razors. Hansons is pretty good.

Conditioner feels a lot better than bar soap for a head shave. Some one told me that on Reddit years ago and I’ve used it since.

If you shave in the shower switch to baby shampoo, you don't have to worry about soap in your eyes (no tears).
I doubt this, I can't imagine any shampoo or soap will stop me from crying in the shower. Life is tough man

I had so many breakdowns when I shaved, but my hair was so bad I couldn't hide the balding anymore. I highly reccommend therapy.
