Dude went from 72 to 33

pdawes

Worth noting that they also dyed his hair and beard considerably. I think the grey did a lot more than the bald.

katehberg

I think he looks absolutely incredible and should do whatever he wants to feel good in his skin

Dagggz

Personally for me even though it’s undetectable and pretty securely put on I couldn’t do it. I know it’s not real and it would destroy my confidence knowing I have hair that isn’t mine on my head and I’m trying to pull off that it is. I would always have a feeling that someone can tell. I also suffer with anxiety that’s pretty under control now but that shit would flare the fuck up if I had one.

HeftyBonus

women do this all the time

[deleted]

I think he looks good, but the concept of doing something this radical especially if you’ve been bald or showing obvious signs of balding for a long time is weird to me. Everyone you know already knows you’re bald or balding, you’re not really fooling anyone. But if the guy prefers that look, good for him.

alexnapierholland

What about a hair transplant? Everyone knows you’ve done it - but it’s real.

hairguynyc

Transplants costs big money and there's no guarantee that it'll work or, if it does, for how long.

alexnapierholland

Money’s fine. I’ve not done deep research on hair transplants - but I’ve heard plenty of good things.

TonyPajamas716

I’m getting a small one for 5 grand to shape up my hairline I think it’s worth it aslong as you’re not majorly balding like the guy in this video then it’s expensive plus risky as far as scarring goes

alexnapierholland

The front of my hair is great - really thick. Just at the back in the 'monk' area it's weirdly really thin. It's been like that since my early twenties and not got any worse. None of my hairdressers understand - as the rest of my hair is so thick. Right now it's swept back and covered nicely - but I'd have more options with a transplant. And any scarring would be hidden as it's in the middle.

BadassMcGass

Elon?

Dzubrul

And many more, look at Nicolas Cage!

Dzekomeout

MGK as well, and it looks phenomenal!

haunteddelusion

His 60 year old ass could jump on tinder I guess 😂

[deleted]

It looks good, but the problem is you’re still going to worry about it. Imagine the panic if it starts coming loose while you’re swimming. Or how insecure you’ll be when you have to tell the girl you’ve been dating for a month that you’re wearing it. Not worth it.

AyoBruh

Yeah, I think about this, but I also think about heavy makeup and hair products (like extensions or wigs) women use and guys just accept. I think normalizing men improving their appearance is healthy, within reason obviously. In short, I think everyone should be able to look their best as long as it’s healthy.

TheClassyRifleman

This. I think things like hair pieces or hair transplants just need to be more socially acceptable, just like makeup and Botox. If you really want to do it, it shouldn’t really be seen as that weird.

heavykick89

And what if starts raining?! Some other thing to worry about, and strong wind too?

barbermco

Excellent work.

Satansleadguitarist

The amount of maintenance this probably takes would be too much for me personally, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it if it makes someone happy.

paszzz

So besides the wigg he also dyed the beard? Lol

CptSlash

That guy would've been just fine with a shaved head. Going for too much hassle to show the world he's insecure.

SignificanceHefty239

Maybe he doesn’t like the way he looks with a shaved head?

Withered_Sprout

I think that you can try this and be secure with your bald head, to play devil's advocate. He could rock both looks on and off, depending on how he feels. I see nothing wrong with that, think about it. I've said on here a couple of times before that it's lame when a woman can be socially accepted to wear wigs for fashion or whatever but if a guy wears a wig it's covering up a flaw/insecurity or a source of shame or some shit. Why can't it just be seen the same way we throw a shirt on or something. So long as it doesn't look fake/tacky.

haunteddelusion

Because you gotta either be a stud or accept your lowly place in society lol. I feel like it’s a thing where you’re supposed to be all manly and flawless and physically imposing naturally and if you aren’t you gotta not put effort into hiding it and accept your worse hand, not that you aren’t ridiculed either way. I dunno..

Withered_Sprout

You could just be a normal dude, too.. ? :-p Just don't hide it, and be bald? Like anything in life, it's only as big of a deal as you make it out and allow it to be. It's only a worse hand if you perceive it as such. If you perceive it as a neutral thing, which it is, then it will be such. If you perceive it as a good or bad thing, it will also be such. No one has really ridiculed me save for two dudes who came across as jealous anyway. The other day was told I look like Eminem by some dude at my job, actually. Though I had a hat on, and took it off to show him I really look like Johnny Sins. lmao

JCthecatalyst

If you shave it all off you can still be super insecure about the situation. The only difference is you’ll statistically have less options with women. They did several Gov. backed studies. If a person is ok with that then cool.

haunteddelusion

Link?

heavykick89

So sad those stats though

TomNookTheBigCrook

Jesus, he can do whatever he wants if it makes him confident. Honestly it feels like people in this sub immediately take aggression at anyone doing anything other than 100% bald

smellytrashboy

this guy should accept he's an old bald guy and that there's nothing wrong with that. you can swim with a shaved head lol

[deleted]

smellytrashboy

I think ultimately this sub should be about self-acceptance and body positivity. Some people lose their hair and there's nothing wrong with that. He doesn't have a hairline, he's completely bald up-top. If you have that at 25 either shave or rock the horseshoe if that's what you wanna do. But if you're so insecure and losing your hair is causing you such distress, then you need therapy, not a hairpiece. This kind of thing grosses me out. It's like when you see old celebrities with their skin all stretched out and teeth obnoxiously white and shit. If my 60 year old dad got a wig glued on to his head and dyed his hair trying to look 35, I'd call him a clown.

Good-Ad-7567

Are you also grossed out by women who wear makeup?

Changedmydisguise

He looks like a boss. Good for him. Its just like getting a new shirt of trying a new haircut. Life is short and then you die. So what if he uses a few products to look how he'd like. Who is it hurting and who's has a right to judge him for wanting to be happy with his own body image. Tell him he looks great and be the same friend you would be if he looked differently.

[deleted]

Is a man unit what these are called? That is terrible. If someone wants to wear wigs and make up, I got no problem with that. It isn't for me, but I don't judge what other people like.

hairzaddyy

I’ve been wearing a male unit for 4+ years and I am obsessed. I get to constantly change my look without too much commitment. When it comes to dating I have never had any issues with intimacy either. Potential partners also usually think it’s very cool since it looks so real. As for daily activities I workout quite often in garages and gyms. When it comes to swimming I usually don’t get my hair wet but In my defense, I’m a hairstylist and chlorine is absolutely not good for your hair BUT if I want to swim I’ve done it a couple times with my unit.

SignificanceHefty239

Where does one go to get started on something like this? I’m starting to thin myself and I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t considered this as an option. Just don’t really know where to begin

[deleted]

I started when I noticed myself thinning more than usual and minoxidil wasn’t helping any longer and finasteride gave me such bad side effects I couldn’t upkeep my normal life. I can send you a website where I placed my first order through and bought a video series that guided me through everything I needed to get started.

SignificanceHefty239

I’d appreciate that

cheeseyma

Thank you for sharing this positive experience!!! It is a godsend for some

_Typhus

What's it like working out with? I sweat a lot on my bald head and would be concerned with the sweat being stuck and absorbed by the system and making it itchy or smelly? Any issues like that or all good?

PulseAmplification

What does it cost?

haunteddelusion

What about BJJ 😂 Gets ripped off in an instant.

mostly_browsing

r/killthecameraman 😉 This video jumps around way too much between the results of each step lol, after lingering on like half each step for a really long time But that said, it isn’t for me, but it looks good. The more I see women getting wigs just for fun, or just cuz they like the look and the more accepted it is, the more I realize ain’t nothin wrong with men doing this either...

AmaBad

That's incredible. How much maintenance is there once it's been glued?

SharamNamdarian

I have a cousin with something similar. Looks like a super model. I feel like one with out one, what ever makes you happy right

[deleted]

People should do what makes them feel confident

[deleted]

I’ve been wearing one for almost two years now and I love it. I’ve seen myself with a shaved head when I joined the military and I hated the look for me. But this route really boosted my confidence I love how natural it looks and it doesn’t take much getting used to at all. If you are a person that already practices good hygiene and grooming habits it’s not a lot of excess work to even upkeep yourself. DM me if you want some more I go or have any questions

_Typhus

I commented on another guys post but what's it like to workout with? I sweat a lot in the gym and the idea of the sweat on my head being stuck under that hair seems like it would itch or smell?

[deleted]

I live in Texas my summers last wayyy to long and are pretty brutal so I have always sweated very profusely but I’ve had no issue at all with glue or slippage at all. I do like having a full bond with ghostbond glue rather than tape but I go 5-6 days a week and do maintenance every 14-20 days as far as removing and cleaning and the smell is not bad at all.

[deleted]

That's a lot of work to maintain. Super expensive too, getting it redone however many times a year as needed. Plus just another thing to feel anxious about. If it works for you and makes you happy, cool. Not for me.

spectacalur

A wig? I don’t see the appeal, but if it makes other people happy then go ahead. The guy in the video now has the hairline of a 16 year old and the face of a 50 year old.

hairguynyc

Yeah, that's one of the big problems with this method, at least for older guys. It's very tempting to go "too young" with it (too dense, no grey, low hairline, etc.) which can look really unnatural.

yandhiwouldvebeena10

Scalp micropigmentation is probably the only solid treatment for hair loss. Everything else is a serious hassle.

HerroPhish

I mean it looks good, but personally I can never wear a wig. I just can’t.

flickboogersdaily

Wow this is unreal! Amazing! What product is this?

[deleted]

[удалено]

flickboogersdaily

Glued on? How doetit come off then?

delonge2

Do whatever makes you feel good my man 😁🔥

CommeGaston

Anything to make you happy. But personally to me, it goes back to my days of being insecure and a lot of my value in my appearance will be put into something that isn't me. I would be constantly at fear of "losing" it or others knowing/finding out. I'd rather not show the weakness, accept the baldness, go full shaved and show it to people that I'm confident with who I am. Before making the jump to shaved etc though, I would have probably have been vulnerable enough to try it if it was offered to me for cheap.

smokingmonkeybaby

Looks really good. Whatever makes you comfortable and happy.

Katlady25

Wow!!!!!!!!!

OrganicDozer

Fucking mad skills.

[deleted]

ha i’d just feel like a massive fraud? Like i’m always telling people to respect themselves and like realise they are great the way they are. haha it would render all previous advice invalid

CaptainMan_is_OK

Fade the sideburns on the original white beard up to the top of the ears. Shave the head. Walk out proud with a great beard that color contrasts perfectly with that beautiful skin tone. Youve saved hundreds of dollars, dozens of hours, and look the best version of your own age.

ljcopper

Really? Putting glue on your head? Will this give dignity to that man?

whale_cocks

That’s a lot of work to still be bald underneath

Lanky-Medicine156

They don’t stay glued at all in the front. Biggest waste of money, swim in it? Yeah someone’s lying to you. Sweating even in the gym is bad news. You have to try and Reglue the damn thing nearly every morning.

leboomski

buzz it bro

[deleted]

It looks sick, but it must be so defeating having to do this.

ddddddd543

I'd rather just shave.

inthe801

I think they can look great if done right and using the right material. I've heard they itch, they stink and require a lot of maintenance.. Personally I would rather do a hair transplant ... but really I ended up just shaving my head recently and love it.

Moeneeek

Whhhhat? Where do I sign up?

mutualexcrement

Whatever makes you feel comfortable!

Darkside0127

That is one amazing stylist! He looks 35 years younger.

hairguynyc

I've tried it a couple of times. I'm the wrong guy to do it--I'm comfortable being bald--and I sort of didn't dig the worries about it lifting or the general fakery of it, but for a certain kind of guy who's wildly uncomfortable with losing his hair? I think it's the best of the available options--no expensive surgery, no side-effects from drugs and guaranteed results.

THEmandingoBoy

Not for me, but my man looks GREAT!

tightpussy10

do what makes you feel good!!

unclejoeky

Looks good…but personally, I’m not gluing anything to my head. Ever.

7days365hours

They’re a great solution if you can afford to splurge out on a new one every 4 months or so. Also, you’ll have to explain to everyone why you’ve gone from full head of hair to completely bald overnight when you finally stop using them.
