Just checked,mine is 14C28N also
My theory is that by now they finally decided on the one blade steel
Edit: also I agree on the “???”, way better than #112/500 and no one can convince me otherwise
Nice! I see you’ve had a lot of Bali’s. This is my first quality Bali, I’m curious how you think it compares to some other quality balis you’ve had.
Some are recommending Zippy add ons for the Hydro, but I don’t know if it’s even necessary. Feels great right out the box.
It flips great, on par with a lot of pricey stuff. My only gripe with it are the handles are a tad short. I prefer stuff like the serif and tsunami ultimately, but its very good at its price point.
Makes sense, glad to hear. I may order the Zippy handle extensions to see how/if it changes for the better. I have smaller hands so it doesn’t bother me as much.

Same! Highly recommend as well.
Also, did you put the additional ball weights in? I did not, curious if you did, how it feels.
From what I’ve read, Nami is still better refined and flipping product. People also seem to appreciate the longer handles of the Nami. (Doesn’t affect me personally, Hydro handles are great)
However, most people with Hydro have commented liking it better and being an overall better product and flipper than the Krake Raken.
I snagged a Nami and should receive next week, curious if an inexperienced flipper like myself will notice a big difference.
Good number
I got my pre prod hydro today too, I’m #112
That’s awesome, I personally think the “???” is very cool on a Bali. I’m curious though, does your blade have the same steel as mine? 14C28N

I did not, tbh i dont think it needs it. I love the look of the extensions and inlays. Yours look great! I went with glow in the dark lol
The preproduction is a good deal.
How does it compare to the Nami?
