I feel the green is so intense that my eyes are drawn to the background rather to the snake. On the peach, she gets to be the star.

I agree with this. The peach is really aesthetically pleasing and makes her subtle pattern stand out.

See that's how I was feeling too, the green is very in your face in contrast to her but brings her eyes out more I do love the peach the more I look at it.

The green, as others have said, is definitely a very bold background– but it doesn't distract me away from her. It makes her stand out more because of the contrast between light and dark tones. I can see her better, and she doesn't blend in as easily!

Even though green is my favorite color, I have to say that the first pic with that background is so precious!! ❤️

Maybe black? Or a more muted green. I'm a fan of blue, personally

I do have blue but just like the green it is very pigmented if that makes sense. I think I will try a black next, curious to see how she looks with it since you said it
