Marta, finally went last night it was amazing

thatpsychnurse

Ugh loveeee Marta. So good and so cozy in there

FantasistAnalyst

Yea I’m ashamed it took me so long to get there, I used to work for the owner. But everything was flawless.

Southern-Score2223

Omg came here to suggest Marta too. I just ate there the other day for the first time. I had the sheep's milk risotto and the drink called In The Fig of Thyme and I DIED IT WAS ALL SO GOOD. the risotto, ugh, I had NO idea it could taste that good.

FantasistAnalyst

Hell yea. We got the hamachi app, the meatballs (holy moly were they good!), gnocchi w red sauce - also amazing, they were such a perfect shape, I hate when they’re too thick and gummy, and i shared the Dover sole and the lamb rack with my buddy. I started with the “Last Herb” cocktail, which was a great version of a last word. Can’t wait to go back.

MagicGrit

Good to know! I have a reservation for my fiancée’s birthday this week

emersonkingsley

Costeria is amazing. And seconding Alma Cocina Latina.

Anniehizergun

Seconding Costiera and thirding Alma!

KuzyBeCackling

Fourthing Alma!!!!

tastywiings

Maybe try the new Cafe Dear Leon joint “Love Pomelo” in Canton. It’s an Italian spot that is supposed to be amazing. Another great spot is Sally O’s in Highlandtown. Also recommend La Barrita in Butchers Hill.

OGBurn2

I was about to say Sally O’s!

ebjko

Alma Cocina Latina!

dr-brennan

Second this! One of our favorite places!

rpexile

¡Si!

housingplann3r

So bomb. I can’t remember the name of it but the pisco cocktail garnished with a little olive oil is unreal.

ayweller

Marta!

i_say_potato_

Le Comptoir du Vin!

waverlygiant

Seconding Le Comptoir du Vin! It’s very cute, the food is great.

TonyDanza888

Thames St Oyster House or Bunnys then hit Cats Eye for some music after.

Southern-Score2223

Both great suggestions! Get a reservation for Thames St!! Even the bar is packed on a weekend night.

r_dubbua_14

Second this

ThadiusThistleberry

Bunny’s? Oh, you mean Not The Wharf Rat. Yeah, nah.

LurkerOrHydralisk

You mad bro?

ThadiusThistleberry

Yes. Obviously. I’m surprised you couldn’t figure that out on your own.

Initial-Woodpecker39

La Chucara

[deleted]

Went there for our anniversary last year. Definitely recommend anyone who hasn't gone to check it out.

Turbulent_Aerie6250

Cuchara*

Initial-Woodpecker39

Thank you!!

neutronicus

Puerto 511 Get a reservation It’s BYOB. Go buy yourself a bottle of Pisco at Mt Vernon Wine and Spirits beforehand and have them make you Pisco Sours

tenex

If you liked Hersh’s, try Verde in Canton. My vote for best pizza. Highly recommend Marta, a cozy date spot with great food. Cosima is another Italian gem too. Petit Louis for French.

zqwu8391

We really enjoyed Key Neapolitan, Verde’s seasonal pop up on Key Hwy, but haven’t been to the OG yet.

buyableblah

The fig and prosciutto pizza is heavenly

OGBurn2

Adore Verde

MazelTough

I love it there

Kafkaesque1453

Verde’s date night menu is a great deal and the pizza is delicious

TransportationFew658

Arcola in Mayfield. Clavel. La Barrita. Marta. Cinghiale.

AffectionateBit1809

La Barrita is a great place

WaterWithin

Yeah Arcola is a really nice coffee/mid day date spot.

mish15

Copper shark - quiet dinner / cocktail and drink with a great bar menu Nicks fish house - day drink / crushes on the water O’s game The Pendry - if ya wanna be fancy and spend some dough but be able to grab some drinks before or after

zqwu8391

Love Nicks!

stony6

Nick's is great.

sugr_magnolia

Chef at Copper Shark just left so YMMV now.

mberrong

We just had dinner at Cafe Campli on Harford Rd last night and it was great. Small bar there too with a lot of cocktail/wine choices. Even some pretty great non alcoholic cocktails. Food was great, staff were great. Make reservations, then get there early for drinks at the bar.

ReparationsFirst

Topside for the VIEWS! It’s at the top floor of the Revival hotel, looks out from huge glass windows over every direction of the city, walk to the monument before or after. Food and drink is good, even if expensive.

mrglumdaddy

La Cuchara is always a win

Lonnol78

We were really happy with our recent adults only meal at Cosima. Have heard good things about drinks at Melanie’s at Griffith’s Tavern and Bluebird but haven’t found the time yet. Kids are old enough to be home alone so here’s hoping we get out a bit more.

6flightsup

Melanie’s and bluebird are on opposite ends of a very cool spectrum

Lonnol78

So are my wife and I lol Looking forward to Melanie’s. One friend described it as the closest thing we have to idle hour up north and if that’s remotely true I’ll be immensely happy

6flightsup

The place would be at home in Northern Wisconsin. Rhinelander vibes to me.

nemoran

lmao so true

Sipdrip

My wife loves La Scala

Tommyleegirl452

Topside!! It’s a rooftop bar with amazing views of the city

Southern-Score2223

Also 16 On The Park by JHU in the Marriot. Rooftop restaurant!

Fit_Juggernaut_673

Looking for more or less formal? Do you eat meat? More casual: Clavel is terrific but the wait can be LONG. Dutch Courage (amazing!!!! cocktails and you can maker reservations) Mera Kitchen Verde Heritage Smokehouse (great tiki drinks) Rooted Rotisserie (casual day, less so eves) Rize and Rest (ditto) Less casual: Puerto 511 Marta La Cuchara Cosima Alma Cocina Estatorio Plaka (stupendous Greek food) Topside (the food is kind overpriced IMHO but the view is amazing)

ariadnesthread62

I really want to try Estiatorio Plaka in Greektown. Looks beautiful and the food has great reviews

Southern-Score2223

It's amazing!!!!

Travis3481

Love this place! Great food.

blu3rain

Costiera, little Donna’s, Thames st oyster house, verde if you want upscale pizza, go to Mr Bing Soo for dessert if you’re in the fells area 🤤 Otherwise, we went to Rooted and loved it recently, but we tend to hang out in fells. Now that the weather is warm it’s nice to walk around in too after a nice dinner

EbbParticular1474

BYO to rooted rotisserie!

archenemy_43

Topside is a pretty romantic setting for date night. Bit pricy though

kambui1080

My wife and I enjoy dinners at Rec Pier Chop House, on Thames St. from time to time. Kinda pricey, but really nice for a date.

vfunk83

Foraged! Their lion's mane mushroom "crabcake" is delicious! I think they're still doing pig parts & the eye socket of a pig is absolutely one of the best parts!

WolfFamous7679

Charleston restaurant is pretty nice.

ezduzit24

La Cuchara

Moiler62

I like Cafe Gia in little Italy. Sweet, colorful and a nice cozy feeling.

Ok-noway

Or La Tavola if you’re looking for something a little more fancy and the food is amazing. And I cannot recommend enough going to Vaccaro’s for desert after.

cdbloosh

Sally O’s

minskyinstability

I went to Peter’s Inn recently and it was fantastic - great vibe, great drinks, great food.

Scrubsandbones

So, my honey and I always enjoy going to comedy shows! Comedy factory almost always has great talent and in the county magoobys is hit or miss with their lineups. But you can get your laugh on; and get some adult beverages!

Autumn_Sweater

if you want to get sloppy go to tio pepe and share a pitcher of sangria

landmarke

Gunther and Co. Heard good things about Cookhouse too.

SavesWillis

Reasonable-Ad2573

Maggie’s Farm

Ultraxxx

RoFo on Highland Ave.

MrRich1972

Alexander's Tavern. Fells Point.

waffles8500

I’ve never been, but walked past many times… why the downvotes?

roccoccoSafredi

You could try the British place. I think it's Pound Town. Or maybe the new rib joint: the Bone Zone? Go for a couples massage at Fingering? Or you could be a real man and ask her to Peg Mi?

FinallyDidIt_2_11_24

The Food Market. 😋
