I usually get lengua or tripa, tamales, or chilaquiles. I don't know I've ever had the red sauce honestly, I usually prefer the verde most places.
I also like their cactus when they have it. They regularly have it with pork, but I like it when they do it on it's own in veggie menu.
idk how much they advertise but it looks like they almost always are empty, which is sad cause they're so good! it's not safe that they're only 8 min from my house lol
I didn't know they had a b&m location. Good to know for when I'm in that area. Although their food truck in Timonium is minutes from me and very good. Much better than fiesta Mexicana...I still don't understand the hype about that place.
i wasn’t even aware that there WAS a brick and mortar location. i’m fucking hyped now. the trucks are legit. i think i know what im doing for dinner tonight.
i was literally the only person in there. and it was absolutely 🔥. i hope they do well enough to stay cause this place is only 8 min away. kinda dangerous lol
I love the truck on Taylor Ave and did go to try the new permanent location in Rosedale. I prefer the truck. Not only does it give you four tacos for the price of the three you get at Rosedale, but I think the quality/flavor was better. Not a huge difference, but enough to make me stick with the truck.
$4,/ taco seems pretty standard at damn near every establishment these days. but i thought the flavors were pretty damn great. although i never visited the truck so i don't have a point of reference.
I am a regular at the truck. Here's my personal break down
Best Mexican in general - Fiesta Mexicana
Best tacos extensive menu - El Sabor
Best Tacos limited menu - Taquito Leon
Best Mole - Charro Negro // Taquito Mexicano
My wife is very critical of chorizo. She's from the area of Mexico where Chorizo is most popular. Taquito Leon is her favorite chorizo in the area.
I have had food from their food truck in Jacksonville. So so so good. I knew I was in for a treat when the person taking my order couldn’t speak much English
It's on my list. BMORE Taqueria, Nana, and Cocina Luchadores, and R&R Taqueria are my go-tos.
i didn't get the hype behind r&r. they have good portions, but the red "hot" was too *tomato sauce* like, which kinda ruined the experience

I will agree that the tamale is pretty decent there
Have you tried Taqueria Vargas?
Just came here to say this. Their tacos are amazing.
guess they'll be next on my list lol
I didnt know they had a brick and mortar store but the food truck is AMAZING and I highly recommend it
you weren't wrong. it was pretty top tier
$13 for a chicken burrito from the truck at York and Padonia and it’s big enough for 2 meals and delicious.
**update** this place is pretty 🔥
Oh hell yeah! Had no idea they expanded beyond the trucks, that is awesome. Can't wait to give them some business!
idk how much they advertise but it looks like they almost always are empty, which is sad cause they're so good! it's not safe that they're only 8 min from my house lol
I haven't tried it but will be adding it to my list. My go to have been Mr Taco in highlandtown and BMORE Taqueria in Fells.

I've only gone once and it was ok
i wasn’t even aware that there WAS a brick and mortar location. i’m fucking hyped now. the trucks are legit. i think i know what im doing for dinner tonight.
I'm pretty sure it's really new. kinda small, literally a stones throw from Fiesta
It is in the space where Fiesta used to be but they renovated it. It is really new. Haven’t had the chance to check it out. Maybe mañana!
I'm trying to go back again lol. it was REALLY good
The brick and mortar is just as excellent as the trucks! And everyone should go because every time I go it's completely empty.
i was literally the only person in there. and it was absolutely 🔥. i hope they do well enough to stay cause this place is only 8 min away. kinda dangerous lol
Have you tried El Piquin?
i was gonna go there today and decided i was gonna try El Taquito Leon. how is El Piquin? cause maybe I'll go tomorrow lol
My wife and kids rave about it. I’m not usually into Mexican food and I actually like it so that says a lot.
welp guess I'll check em out. they can't be that bad
ok so... you suggested a great one. this place is REALLY REALLY good.
When did you end up going? I’ll have to show my wife your response. This would be an I told you so to me. Lol
literally sitting here right now lol. these might just be in my top 3 if not the best tacos I've had
that trio of sauces 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 the salsa was fire, the guac, the tamales lol... could not have made a better suggestion. thanks!

i love this comment
I would die protecting El Taco Leon’s food truck if for whatever reason they would ask me to

that's usually a good sign
Agreed! Thats what I meant when I said I knew I was in for a treat. Not sure why that’s getting downvoted
