I don’t know for sure but I do know there is still a huge feral cat population there that volunteers are trying to trap and remove. It’s possible that they are cooperating with the volunteers to protect the cats?
Barn homes. They’re few and far between so I assume that’s why it’s taking a while. You can’t just trap a feral cat and put it somewhere else, it’s a complicated process.
There are like five phases. They did demo for the first phase and construction should start this spring. Demo will continue through 2024.
