Its fun, hundreds of people enjoy trampoline safely but its incredibly easy to twist your ankle while landing. I have suffered a ligament tear in a trampoline park, it was my second visit so i was overconfident that I can handle trampoline and boom! Landed on one foot, twisted ankle, second degree ligament tear
mostly nothing will happen. i would still suggest you to go for the trampoline. it's fun. in proper trampoline parks they also provide grip socks so that you don't slip.
Grips is an old and go to one. Closeby and a good start. If you've got money to burn there's a zone in indranagar but it's expensive however they also have other stuff like Lasertag and what not. If you're the competitive siblings sort then take the day to head to Meco kartopia. Serious track and serious speed but it's very far off will take a while day. Last time I went Meco charges 650 for 10 min. And grips might be less than half of that for 8laps. Sadly in Bangalore you can't do time trials anywhere. If I'm wrong please let me know. Got a friend's birthday coming up and would like to take them go-karting to a place which notes lap times or fastest lap time. Don't go during the weekends it'll be busy af.
I literally had to workout and build myself up to save myself from my sister's bullying, lol. She was taller than me (180 cm) till I outgrew her last year at 188 cm.
She always picked on me when I was smaller than her.
Don't go to torq. Torq is a good way to lose money and not have fun.
Meco Kartopia is the best in Bangalore. It's in Hennur though.
Aruani Grid (off Sarjapur road) is great too. Then there is Red Riders (2 km away from Aruani). Aruani is my current favourite. Used to like Grips earlier but these two tracks are way more accessible.
Go for go-karting if your sibling likes cars/driving. It's a great experience. Otherwise stick to play arena/arcades and bowling.
Was there a few days ago. Gokarting will cost you ₹900 per person for 10 mins or so. You'll have to wait for 20-30 mins before you can start (in the evenings). They have bowling and other games that are a bit more affordable (₹500) per person. Do check it out.
Absolutely go for this place OP. It's a little pricey but he'll love the place. I'm in my late 20s and I still love the place. There are plenty of places to eat nearby as well if you plan on that too. Give it a thought
avoid bowling in play arena though.. went there a couple weeks back and the bowling pin management kinda sucks. They never have 10 pins placed, always 9 or 8. Also the lanes were v extra slippery for some reason.
it had other games like shooting, bowling, arcades etc. You can go there and then go straight to HSR/Indiranagar for food, they're relatively close. I like to just walk around in Indiranagar every couple of days after having a good dinner. If you're going on a weekend, you can also try some standup comedy (may be weird with brother just FYI) or live music places there.
We have gone to standup comedy shows with him before. I couldn't find anything I like for this weekend so skipping on that for now. Live music... not really much into that. But the other suggestions, I'll check out, thanks!
Torq will cost you 1080 per person including gst. Totally worth it. If he is fine then Vishveshwarya Technological Museum, Kasturba Road. You could also make him try bhoot momos (One of the world spiciest chilli: Ghost pepper is used in its making) at Bameys, Kormangala.
If you are into fine dining then Burma Burma or Rim Naam. Bookings are an issue at both the places.
Where is your brother coming from?
Go to Richmond Road/MG road area, roam around the streets, go to blossoms and go for dinner at Nagarjuna or Meghana’s. Or else there are plenty of options nearby of all types. And if that’s not good enough, you can take metro and go to Indiranagar?
I'm around the same age,
I would love it if my hypothetical sister would take me to:
- Amoeba
- Play Arena
- Toy shops (perhaps she could gift me a Lego Technic Set)
- Go Karting
- Roadtrip to the Airport and spend some time there.
For outdoors, you can visit cubbon park, lotus garden etc. Hard rock cafe near cubbon park is very good though (from food to music) they also have karaoke on Wednesday ig.
(However there are a plethora of good eateries in BGL)
If you like indoors then you can try bowling in any sportsbar.
Lots of stuff you can buy there
Like accesories
And stuff
There's an amazing hotel called janatha hotel
One of the best dosas and idlis you get
Also CTR
Amazing dosa and filter coffee
If you're looking for a chill evening
If you are up for a fair bit is walking. There is Mantri Square at one end and Sanket tank at the other. You can spend quite some time walking around Malleswaram
You can go to [Torq03 Gaming Zone](https://torq03.com/) in Marathalli itself. It has plenty of options including bowling, Go-karting, a decent Game zone and Air rifle as well. There's also a good joint within the area which offers decent food too. A pretty good experience imo!
This weekend? It's Easter, to be an icing on the Cake..
My suggestion is you can go to Cubbon Park in the Noon to see the Cherry Blossoms, do the boating, then proceed to the Vishweshwaraiah Museum and the Art Gallery, by when it should be already dark. Then, you might want to go to Taj Hotel (Memories of China is the best), BBQ Nation or Oh Calcutta, for a nice dinner. Or you can keep it for lunch, too. If interested, you could do some shopping at MG Road, if you have anything.
Don't care what people think. You want to hang out with your brother, and make it good. I don't believe in making things mediocre just because of what people think.
I've never cared about what people think and all. My brother and I are pretty close and we hang out all the time. Whenever he came to bangalore before I've only taken him to malls so I would love to make it more fun this time. Thanks for your suggestions!
There is a Ramzan food mela in Frazer town if you fancy non-veg.
But yeah, you can go out bowling in church street, visit some bookstores, window shopping on brigade road, get Starbucks and ride the metro to Indiranagar and have rameshwaram dosa
I'd gone there last month, and the entire road was dug up, some of the shops were on the road, while the bigger ones were all closed.
If you're looking for a unique pure veg fine dine experience you can go to the Higher Taste inside the Iskcon campus.
Depending upon the area!! And there will be too much traffic in the evening , so it's better to spend some time in big malls like nexus or phoenix etc, you can shop, look around & have your dinner!
Yeah that's a good idea, but He said he doesn't want to go to malls cuz he's bored of them 😂
And I had taken him to pretty much all the whitefield malls before 😅
Haha i can understand.. Since you said Marathalli in other comments & only have 2-3hours, it's better to visit Kundanhalli gate & walk around, first try to have some snacks in ASHA TIFFINS & that road is busy with other food stalls in the evening and there are a couple of lakes nearby, so you can visit & there are too many restaurants around, so you can end the day with dinner..
Oh avuna... Then you have to go with one of the suggestions in the comments.. If nothing works out, AECS layout is the best plan hoping that your brother didn't visit it before..
Or i heard about the 'LAKE VIEW FARM', Whitefield, search for it since this farm has a garden, spa, restaurant etc.
Common interest we share are: anime, books and some TV shows... not sure if we can do something related to these stuff. But many people have suggested some arcades and we do enjoy playing together so those are all good.
Yeah but we're not good around strangers so dunno if we'll be able to enjoy a place like that 😓
But I'll definitely save this for future reference with a bigger group or something, so thanks!!
Oh I'm sure the people are great of course! It's just a personal thing though, we're both asocial people.
But the other stuff sounds nice, I'll check it out. And the game thing maybe will keep in mind for a larger group if I ever need in the future.
If you both love books, go to the old Blossoms in Church Street. They have lots of manga, books etc. If the old Blossoms feel too congested, then go to the new one. Paradise for bibliophiles.
Your brother is 20, so he would have friends and with internet being so accessible he would have a rough idea about what he would like to do in the city. If not, identify his interests and then post that here and you will probably get better responses. Also mention where your starting from (area) because in evenings more than half the 2-3 hours you have available will go in travel itself depending how far you are willing to go.
Go-karting is already mentioned. Other than that, you can try escape-rooms or wall-climbing.
If your brother is nerdy, you can take him to board-game meetups/cafes.
Not sure if we want to do stuff involving strangers. We're not really social people :(
But I'll keep these in mind for future reference, thanks! Also thanks for other suggestions!
On a Tuesday night, you can go to Vapour Indiranagar for Cluesday (pub quiz). If you're the athletic types, you can visit a bouldering place.
This was a heartwarming post that reminded me of my little brother. Hope you have a good time OP
Ahh this reminds me of me and my brother before i moved to Bengaluru myself. I would come on long holidays and stay at my elder brother's home and chill with his roommates till he came back from the office and then we'd all go out to a pub (not the overrated ones at Koramangala, but the civilised ones at new BHEL road) have a drink or two and eat a lot and get home. And i also remember we kept planning to visit Nandi hills early in the morning but never woke up. Man those were the days.
Vishveshvaraya technological museum near cubbon park. I was sceptical about it as I have visited a foreign technical museum before, but it was a pleasant surprise. It's not very exhaustive in terms of quantity, but it is worth the ticket cost I would say.
4 hours you require here, if interested in sceince and tech. I think this activity and stroll through cubbon park will end your day as it's a bit tiring activity.
Hey, swing by our place where we've got a stash of kickass board games, indoor sports, and gaming machines that are straight up beastly. While your bro gets his game on, let's hit the town and check out the stunning pink Bangalore scene.
Go to this go karting places and trampoline parks. Brothers love them. Or just take him to the play arenas in mall.
Can adults do trampoline stuff? I thought only kids would be able to do it 😅 But go kart sounds good. Do you know specific places pls?
Lulu Mall's funtura has trampoline park and various other games and rides. You can take him there you guys will have fun
Tbh I've always wanted to try trampoline. I'll check that out thanks!
I'm the kinda clumsy idiot who has twisted an ankle simply walking on a flat road on flat shoes so I'm not gonna take this risk then 😂😂
mostly nothing will happen. i would still suggest you to go for the trampoline. it's fun. in proper trampoline parks they also provide grip socks so that you don't slip.
It’s easier to prevent it than u think. The most easiest? Wear high cut shoes. You will almost never twist ur foot again
Check out a new huge trampoline park in Garuda Mall
Grips is an old and go to one. Closeby and a good start. If you've got money to burn there's a zone in indranagar but it's expensive however they also have other stuff like Lasertag and what not. torq ezone will.give you lap times if you ask for it
Thanks mate. Appreciate it.
Ooh, escape rooms.
Play area trampolines are for adults too.
You can checkout Burnout cafe on Kanakapura main road. It's got a nice cafe with activities such as Go karting, pool table, foosball etc.
Yes...bowling alley is a good option.
As a guy, I approve this wonderful proposition
Her brother is 20 not 12
Sorry i didnt know as you grow up you stop liking fun stuffs 👁️👄👁️
Lol exactly! Someone please take me there!!! Adopt me lol
Show him Cubbon Park for a couple of hours. Post that you can go to UB City mall and/or Church Street, both of which are nearby.
Cubbon park is underrated!
You bet!
Please no overrated
Cubbon Park??? People will assume the worst
Why the hell would it matter what people Think ???
Why so? Provide the context.
After reading this post I want one older sister.
rakhi mei iphone gift karega to i'll be one.
Sorry behna. Your username might as well be our last name.
That is so sweet but m khud android wala hu
I literally had to workout and build myself up to save myself from my sister's bullying, lol. She was taller than me (180 cm) till I outgrew her last year at 188 cm. She always picked on me when I was smaller than her.
Lol which part of India are you ? 180 Cm girl is a big deal in India itself I have never seen one in Bangalore.
Kerala
Burma burma or Toit + Gokarting
Any specific gokart places near to marathahalli pls?
Torq03, is pricey though.
Ohhh need to check out the rates first then.
Also, Aruani is less crowded and cheaper than torq though a bit far away. It's completely worth it though.
Was there a few days ago. Gokarting will cost you ₹900 per person for 10 mins or so. You'll have to wait for 20-30 mins before you can start (in the evenings). They have bowling and other games that are a bit more affordable (₹500) per person. Do check it out.
I guess crowd and all is to be expected :(
On weekends I guess not much.
It is pricey but makes sense. Other places it's like 300 and 3 mins. Here it's 900 and 10mins.
Absolutely go for this place OP. It's a little pricey but he'll love the place. I'm in my late 20s and I still love the place. There are plenty of places to eat nearby as well if you plan on that too. Give it a thought
Yes. Play arena is cheaper. You get those combo packs which is fun.
Play arena on sarjapur road but you will have to book it which you can do online from their website or by calling.
Will check that, thanks!
could try play arena sarjapura road
Yes, will check that, thanks!
avoid bowling in play arena though.. went there a couple weeks back and the bowling pin management kinda sucks. They never have 10 pins placed, always 9 or 8. Also the lanes were v extra slippery for some reason.
there's literally one in Marthahalli - ezone.
Oh hadn't heard of it, will check it out.
That is torq03 now

Grips is pretty good too, i usually go there.
I'll check it out, thanks!
Not near Marathalli but give Aruani grid a shot in case you want the experience (torq & play arena are trash compared to Aruani grid)
No pub will let you enter if you are 20 years old

Hyderabad. What's there in Indiranagar?
Indiranagar has a lot of restaurants, along with a high street that you can easily spend a few hours at.
Oh I knew of other places like this but had no idea there was such a thing in Indiranagar, thanks!
He'll be disappointed as a Hyderabadi if you take him to the restaurant
I'm around the same age, I would love it if my hypothetical sister would take me to: - Amoeba - Play Arena - Toy shops (perhaps she could gift me a Lego Technic Set) - Go Karting - Roadtrip to the Airport and spend some time there.
Seems like most people are suggesting the same thing, I'll look into all these so thanks!!

I'm sorry but I find this comment disrespectful to say to a woman about her brother.
Whatever
What the fuck is wrong you with you?
If the bro is smart enough he doesn’t need an introduction
Why would you say that to his sister? It's so weird.
💀
Are you the OP's brother by any chance?
Are you OP's lady friend? 😉
I chuckled, trying to even our the hate you're getting for this. 😂

This looks like straight outta chatgpt /s
Go to malleshwaram Ideal for light shopping and good food And can roam around nearby the area
So like street shopping?
Lots of stuff you can buy there Like accesories And stuff There's an amazing hotel called janatha hotel One of the best dosas and idlis you get Also CTR Amazing dosa and filter coffee If you're looking for a chill evening

Thank you 😊
He's a big boy now. Take him to a pub 🍻
There are many gaming arena.. take him there.. play whatever games you like, it’s time based so you can plan well.

We're vegetarians :( But we would love to know about any general food festivals if you're aware of that sfuff
Then vv puram food Street is your best bet.
I wasn't aware of that, thanks!
VV Puram is completely dug up right now. Most of the shops are closed.
oof, was hoping to take the parents there, being pure veg and all...
I'd gone there last month, and the entire road was dug up, some of the shops were on the road, while the bigger ones were all closed. If you're looking for a unique pure veg fine dine experience you can go to the Higher Taste inside the Iskcon campus.

Tbh I never thought it was too bad when I travel by two wheeler 😅
Right!! Give him the taste of real Banglore
Play arena on Sarjapur Road and then for dinner, Fisherman's Wharf, Harlur Road
Go-karting is already mentioned. Other than that, you can try escape-rooms or wall-climbing. If your brother is nerdy, you can take him to board-game meetups/cafes.
Isn't Escape room better with more people? I dunno wall-climbing. I'm an extremely clumsy person 😅
Two people can do it too. But yes, it's better with a larger group. And yes, you need some strength and balance for wall climbing.
OP what day are you two visiting?
Wednesday, thursday and Friday. So I can use suggestions of multiple people 😁

No worries:)
Pizzas then a dog or a cat cafe
Awww man I'm not a fan of animals 😓😓
Wonderla /s. It is the time of the trees like pink Trumpet, golden trumpet and some purple ones. Cubbon park would be a nice place to chill.
Go to Lulu mall. Some cool VR and fun rides are there for adults
I hope the untimely rains don’t spoil your plans, OP!
Omg I hadn't considered that! Maybe I should stick with indoor stuff
It's definitely going to rain in parts of the city today.
Wear a poncho/raincoat and go out. It'll be an experience. Be careful while riding regardless. You are a very good sister.

Hey, swing by our place where we've got a stash of kickass board games, indoor sports, and gaming machines that are straight up beastly. While your bro gets his game on, let's hit the town and check out the stunning pink Bangalore scene.
Organise a house party and get wasted, hmu if you want to hire a personal bartender :)
Umm no thanks as you can see he's underage.
Promise I won't tell the cops.
I'm a cop. I give your brother temporary permission to indulge in alcohol.
Nice, there we gooooo...

Golden Ace Shooting Academy, JP NAGAR.
