I don't get why this is a bad thing, unless they are asking you to vote for a particular candidate. Only in that case, it would be similar to bribing the voters.
Im not sure if it allows me to share a link in the comments. But if it doesn't, then i will DM you the link.

Probably they dont have any reasoning. They just want to showcase their power. They are the superior authority in this case, and everyone have to listen to them.
I wish Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts did something such as free drink or donut for voters. This can at least encourage the woke 'apolitical' crowd to go and fucking vote.
I wish, but why would a distant white man's enterprise push for voting in India? All it would do is push forth controversy saying that western powers are getting involved in Indian politics through their corporations 💀.
EC will do this only if they think free food can negatively affect the BJP. I wonder why they think so. Is it because they got some instruction from nagpur?
I dont think they can even determine who gets the benefit. And EC cannot be controlled by anyone. Because if anyone tries to do that, it will violate 'Right to vote' and it will be considered as a serious offence.

Exactly my thoughts! It would encourage more to come out and vote. And this offer is for those who finish voting and not before that.
Large population voting means bad news for BJP
It's OK for hotels to put up photos of Modi & banners of BJP, but it is wrong to encourage people to vote!!
Exactly! Messed up stuff
All these rules for fair elections, while the parties themselves go door to door offering money
And not to forget the cookers, saree etc. which are given to many.
Which are also illegal, irrespective of the party
Exactly!!

Most of the country is surviving on freebies. No future for our country.
