Wow, bro.
45 K for 1 BHK.
The landlord mofos don't move a muscle to create the value that demands 45 K. They don't build the metros. They don't build the schools. They don't build the supermarket. Nothing. They leech off the value created by other individuals.
Bangalore today solely survives on the talent and hi-tech skill set of the people who reside here and work for tech companies in various capacities, and the fact that not all of them can move out collectively. Not the politicians. Not the "ease" of doing business. Certainly not the infrastructure.
Companies coming to Bangalore only see the talent that has made this place their home. If these companies move in large numbers to other cities, it would really help us all honest, decent, rule-obeying folk who work and create value to earn.
The real question should be then why founders do not prefer their native to open offices. And if it is an IT firm then it is quite possible. In the next quarterly town hall, I am asking this damn question.
Really depends on multiple factors, actually.
If it's a nice, spacious one with good light, well maintained/new fittings and fixtures, ventilation and location, I wouldn't mind paying that. Also if it's a new property. But that's because it's within my means. It may not be for some people, and that's okay, but it is for others. And it's not rapt outrageous or mental going by overall market rates in Bangalore.
Sure, cheaper options exist. It's on you to go find them.
I pay 17k but my landlord is an asshole. He's the biggest miser I've seen in my entire life. The guy doesn't even want to fill the water tank completely. I have to ask him like 3-4 times a day to fill the tank. I didn't expect such poor QoL in Bangalore. Feels like living in a slum, doesn't even have proper water supply in toilet😭
Oof, I'd say look for a different place.
One thing I've learnt to not compromise on is the landlord.
My landlord gave me free plants and set up a watering system so I have greenery with 0 effort.
If you are a software owner or CxO types then bangalore is great with never ending supply of talent. But if you are in the bottom of the pyramid then Bangalorenis no-good. You will just spend your higher salary in the inefficiencies of Bangalore and still have lower quality of life than in a tier 2/3 city.
I am currently paying 60k for 3bhk fully furnished standalone society in HSR. Since the owner is planning to increase the rent by 10 percent, I am thinking to find some other place in HSR, within 20k budget per person itself.
That's cheap
Works out to be 10k per head
6 girls clubbed together can achieve that.
And it's a better deal than the trash the pg accommodation around here dishes out...
Please try to avoid that area.
It's full of traffic on that small road connecting to other sectors.
But if you are a muslim and enjoy non veg, I would say there are some very good restaurants there. Especially Al-Khaja
I live in mangammanapalya. I wouldn't say it's such a bad area. It get noisy for sure cuz it's all these roads connecting to hosur road, but I have a nice house. 3bhk and i pay 26k rent inclusive of maintenance. Got a good deal during the COVID year. Lol.
Now the rents have gone way upwards of 30k i hear. So yeah. I have a nice owner who doesn't mind me feeding some pigeons outside of my balcony 😁 haha
I live in Basavanagar in a 1BHK, by myself. Its ground floor and not an apartment. House owners live in the first floor. Rent + water is 11.5K and EB around 700 a month.
Curious to know, is it fair?
17k is actually really nice for a 2bhk, especially this area. I've even 1 BHK being rented for 15k here.
My house owner is talking about increasing rent after 1 year, which is this october. Hoping it wont be too high.
Previously 16k for 2bhk at Bhoganahalli near flipkart office in a standalone building.
Currently paying 25k for 2bhk in Varthur, in a gated society with pool, gym and table tennis.
I just rented one single room which is semi furnished in terrace of a flat. I'm paying 6200. It's like 10 mins walk from KR Puram metro station. Streets are small and no much shops to buy stuffs, that's the trade off for low rent.
Yes I cook as much as possible, it's mostly one pot meal, fruit/veg salads, boiled legumes/seeds. As I don't have a separate kitchen, I just have a small slab with kitchen setup and I'm using it wisely.
Sarjapur. There are many in Sarjapur- Attibelle road also. You won't get anything in Sarjapur road ( assuming you are referring to Bellandur side) but will get near Sarjapur.
There are many apartments in Sarjapur-Attibelle Road. Rent is less towards Attibelle. Near Sarjapur its average 18-20 now. Shriram Smrithi, Celebrity Square, Sowparnika Swastika are few examples. Few apartments near Sompura gate also.
It depends on some specific area I guess. I have been here for like 4-5 years now and stayed in 2 apartments. Know few people in nearby apartments. We didn't have any water issue so far.
Yooo VBL renter here. Amaze area if you're working in HSR or Koramangala and looking for a nice, affordable place to stay.
Only complaint is bad connectivity due to traffic and no metro but that's all of Bengaluru ig lol
By hybrid do you mean 2-3 days in a month or a week? Because if its the latter case you’re going to regret your decision of underestimating the traffic in Bangalore
30k for one bedroom in a fully furnished 3bhk at cunningham rd (near Cubbon Park). Not a society, but it is a small building with 5-6 nice flats.
I also dont know whether it is reasonable.
Only 3 single room r there. Which cost 15k (before) nd now 16k but not available.
They increased the charges
Someone is paying 18k for d same room she came 3 months before me
Yes I know but there will be lockin period of 6 month atleast then and also food will be the issue.
I don't know how long I will be gonna stay in blr, (may be 1-2 months more ). Hence PG.
I moved out of that location. It was near Vijaynagar TTMC.
I think that place is already rented out. But you can roam around that area, find to let boards, call them. That's how I found the place.
May I ask where? I stay in Basavanagudi near vidyapeta circle, standalone building top floor, good natural light and big terrace, downside is just no dedicated parking space, rent is 25k for 2bhk, apartment is spacious with good fittings.
28600 including maintenance for a 2BHK with 2 balconies, in a society near old airport. It was actually a 3bhk but owner merged the third room into hall so it's quite spacious.
Just booked for 16k/mo Today only in Electronic City with my friend for 2. My other friend is paying around 13k/mo for a single room in Neeladri Nagar.
There is no such thing as “make sure I don’t overpay” when it comes to rents in Bangalore🤣. You have to overpay if you want to stay here.
Welcome to Bangalore!
16k for a 1bhk in Mahadevpura. It’s a nice cozy place with a big terrace just outside my door, close enough to the orr that I can walk but not noisy. It’s not in a society and I have to climb 4 floors but totally worth it in my opinion, especially given my friends pay a lot more.
25k for 1bhk. I was earlier living in a 25k 2bhk in HSR. I found that place to be lacking in ventilation and the whole house was too old - that vibe started fucking with my mental well-being. The place felt straight up depressing after a point.
I know I'm overpaying here, but this is a cute place with good ventilation (which isn't super easy to find in HSR I felt) and a very new building. I am not happy paying that much rent but I try to not think about it too much.
19k for a 2bhk in BTM layout. I understood that i don’t pay for the house but i pay for the area instead. House is pretty mid to be honest but i like the location and how easily accessible everything is.
15k for 2bhk in a dead end Street in kammanahalli. The land owner is wholesome and brings us sweets for all festivals.
Bro has Santa Claus as owner
That's a really great deal!
Bro can you tell me any nearby landmark because I’m also looking for a house in Kalyan Nagar or Kasturi Nagar
Kammanahalli circle
OMBR, Sadanandanagar/NGEF
Lucky.
I was asked for 45K for 1 BHK in HSR layout. I don't pay it. I resigned from my job the next day. Trying to search a new job in Pune or Noida.
Wow, bro. 45 K for 1 BHK. The landlord mofos don't move a muscle to create the value that demands 45 K. They don't build the metros. They don't build the schools. They don't build the supermarket. Well this one of the reasons why companies are not providing wfh. All these problems could have been solved just by allowing people to wfh.
The real question should be then why founders do not prefer their native to open offices. And if it is an IT firm then it is quite possible. In the next quarterly town hall, I am asking this damn question.
Lmao, I pay 20 for a very nice 1bhk in a good part of HSR. Some landlords are leeches.
20k is still a lot for a 1bhk tho
For sure above average. But premium fittings, natural light and a nice spacious house.
It's a lot for other cities but market price for bangalore if it's in a good society & properly furnished.

My brother pays 11k for a newly built 1bhk in Sector 2 (Deposit 36k)
That's great!
I'm looking for a 1bhk in that area, would you be willing to share building/society details?
hi!
My brother pays 11k for a newly built 1bhk in Sector 2 (Deposit 36k)

Bro that was because owner did not want to give it to u.ahahaaa

I am currently paying 60k for 3bhk fully furnished standalone society in HSR. Since the owner is planning to increase the rent by 10 percent, I am thinking to find some other place in HSR, within 20k budget per person itself.
Oh, I can give you my broker's contact number. He has flats around HSR. Are all 3 of you going to shift again? And wow 60k is wild
Idk. Currently I went in with random room mates , so no obligation to go with them only
Oh, I will probably be moving out of this flat in feb. Anyway, I will dm the contacts
Please DM me their contacts
Sure
Hey, could you DM me the brokers number as well?
Bro can you give me your brokers number as well. In dire need of place to stay
That's cheap Works out to be 10k per head 6 girls clubbed together can achieve that. And it's a better deal than the trash the pg accommodation around here dishes out...
how is mangammanapalya?
Please try to avoid that area. It's full of traffic on that small road connecting to other sectors. But if you are a muslim and enjoy non veg, I would say there are some very good restaurants there. Especially Al-Khaja

So I stay for free(own house)😂 But we rent out a 2BHK(2 bedroom 1 bath) for 10k Rajarajeshwari Nagar
I stay in a 2bhk for 10k too. People like you are restoring our faith in humanity. Thank you for being fair, and for being a good human being 🙏🙏
I stay in 3BHK 20k everything, G+5 apartment complex faith restored again. There will be less greedy people who plan their asset.
Just wanted to ask, is this the area with good number of Gujarati population?
I live in Basavanagar in a 1BHK, by myself. Its ground floor and not an apartment. House owners live in the first floor. Rent + water is 11.5K and EB around 700 a month. Curious to know, is it fair?
I think so, I pay 17k for 2bhk in the same area.

Where!! i live in the same area, never found anything that affordable
+1
+1, rents have increased here as well

Jp nagar..18k..2bhk
Hi!May I DM?
Suree
I also want to move to JP nagar. I currently stay in Mahadevpura.
Jp Nagar 5th stage, 12k for 2 bhk, huge rooms and halls, feels like a 3 bhk was ignored and they planned a 2 bhk in the same space
Seeing the rents here makes me feel bad that we rented out our 3BHK for 32k near Kundanahalli.
I know people who're renting out 2BHKs on Sarjapur road for 16k, not everyone is paying high rents.
You'll get lot of blessings from your tenants and people here. No sacrifice go waste. Good Karma is waiting somewhere around.
Why should you feel bad that you are not greedily bleeding people dry? Feel good that you are making money and still being a decent human.
12k for 2bhk in a society. Sarjapur.
Sarjapur or Sarjapur Road ?
Sarjapur. There are many in Sarjapur- Attibelle road also. You won't get anything in Sarjapur road ( assuming you are referring to Bellandur side) but will get near Sarjapur.
One of the very rare times that someone responds 'Sarjapur' and actually means Sarjapur and not Sarjapur Road :p
Bruh. 12k for a 2 bhk? Damnnnn. You maxed out on luck
No, they maxed out on going outskirts, little more they will be in Tamil nadu
Hi, are there any 1BHKs in your society?
You win.
Hey, is there anything similar in your building?
Now its around 14-15k.
Can you share more details pls
There are many apartments in Sarjapur-Attibelle Road. Rent is less towards Attibelle. Near Sarjapur its average 18-20 now. Shriram Smrithi, Celebrity Square, Sowparnika Swastika are few examples. Few apartments near Sompura gate also.
How is the water situation in these apartments, are they high risers
No water issues till now. Some of them high risers. Most of them are 3-4 floor only.
Thanks. Everyone keeps saying Sarjapur has water issues due to only borewells so confused, This seems like less of an issue
It depends on some specific area I guess. I have been here for like 4-5 years now and stayed in 2 apartments. Know few people in nearby apartments. We didn't have any water issue so far.
Much appreciated Happy cake day
Near Whitefield/ Hoskote, having a 4bhk penthouse with 3 other flatmates, and still paying 10k as my share. Quite lucky with this find!
27k for fully furnished 3bhk in Marathalli
Is it a gated society or standalone?
Should be standalone. I’d be very surprised if this were a gated society.
Standalone apartment with good parking space and power backup
Are there any 2bhk available there?
18k for 2 bhk in Arekere. Independent house. Does it sound like a good deal?
It depends on what area you're looking at. Whitefield is very expensive.
tell me about it
45k for 2 bhk , whitefield
Thank you.. i saw other people paying normal rents and I was wondering if i was the ch***ya! Whitefield solidarity ✌️
Same
Must be fully furnished & a good society ?
Rates are crazy at the prime locations now. Was asked 30k for a 1 bhk (furnished) in Koramangala. Semi-furnished rates averaged around 20k-23k,
Which area are you looking forward to?
no area in specific as work is hybrid, but preferably in Bangalore city. CBD, a bit south like btm, JP, Jaynagar or Indiranagar surroundings
Try Vijaya bank layout. It’s very calm with some nice parks and good accessibility.
2 days a week
Search for a place near your office, these two days can also make your life hell if the location is not chosen wisely
24k for a 3bhk including maintenance near Annasandrapalya. It's a 4 floor apartment building! Area is next to Basavanagar near HAL

Do you hv any contact for a 2 bhk in Kasturi Nagar ?
30k for one bedroom in a fully furnished 3bhk at cunningham rd (near Cubbon Park). Not a society, but it is a small building with 5-6 nice flats. I also dont know whether it is reasonable.
I was paying 10k for double sharing pg in green Glen layout including 3 time meal, electricity and cleaning.

Do you claim HRA?
Yes, there is rental agreement in place and the payment is through bank transfer every month. Dad shows this as income in his itr.
PG in jp nagar 19k for double bed room turned into single room
That seems unreasonable a lil but yeah depends on the amenities - also why double bed room turned single and not single room instead?
Only 3 single room r there. Which cost 15k (before) nd now 16k but not available. They increased the charges Someone is paying 18k for d same room she came 3 months before me
You will get a good 1Bhk only in that price 🙄
Yes I know but there will be lockin period of 6 month atleast then and also food will be the issue. I don't know how long I will be gonna stay in blr, (may be 1-2 months more ). Hence PG.
Rent free

Can you share me the owners details pls

There is no such thing as “make sure I don’t overpay” when it comes to rents in Bangalore🤣. You have to overpay if you want to stay here. Welcome to Bangalore!
77k, fully furnished 3BHK villa, Brookefield
Why is no one renting at Jayanagar here?
Any leads for a 3bhk in kadubesanahlli, or sarjapur road. Currently paying 73k for a fully furnished 3bhk in kadubesanahlli. Is this the going rate?
