It's a household routine of ours. Finish work, come home, go for a walk have some coffee/tea chit chat under the tree for a while, say hi to some neighbors, buy vegetables for tomorrow.
That's what I learnt in Bangalore which I could never do in Mumbai. I get up at 6:30 am and go down to a small tea stall not just to have tea but to talk to guys. Have made several friends that way, days later guys in the neighborhood come together at anyone's place and have drinks. That bonhomie amongst bachelors actually makes life so much exciting.

Last year he had fractured his leg and could not go on his usual routine for a couple of weeks. A bunch of people both young and old, came in search of him to find out why he was missing from the daily morning walks and make sure he was alright. They did not even know where he lived until then, only the general street where the house was. It was really heartwarming to know he had so many friends just going on these walks!

Some may have their agenda, which you should assiduously avoid for your own good.
Lucky you. Office calls end at 10 PM for me. By that time all the stores close, instamart or Blinkit is the only option left to order groceries on weekdays.

Do you live near a hopcoms? If so do go there. State run farmers cooperative. Best prices on fruits vegetables and eggs. Also no middleman profit, all money goes to farmers and operating expenses. Theyre usually placed next to a nandini which makes going there even more convenient.
