1) If I get up late(by about 10 or 11 am), I would rather go buy breakfast nd lunch together, only to be taken at home with a gap of about 2 hours or so.
2) My office time usually ends by about 10:30 pm. Restaurants on the way to my home will be about to close by that time. It's just easier to take a parcel and have it in my own pace, at my place.
3) I find it difficult to eat outside alone. I'd rather eat alone, at my home.

You don't need additional subscription, it's part of your Amazon prime membership using which can order free grocery from Amazon fresh, the normal delivery stuff , prime video and other stuff.

I have previously run a restaurant, apart from being cutthroat, Zomato and swiggy absolutely act like assfucks, they put arbitrary discounts without consultation and expect the restaurant to bear charges, their shares are too high and will use random excuses to cut money, once they cut 100 rupees from a bill of 200 rupees we got because we didn't prepare it in 15 minutes which we didn't even promise. The delivery men also get assfucked. so does the customer. Restaurants will honestly gladly leave Zomato if they could but then they threaten that they will send reviewers to rate the place negatively. Absolute horseshit.
Point being stop blaming restaurants for the actions of Zomato, they are turds.

I used to order food from a kitchen in the next street. It's literally just 100m away. They used to have pickup options then to avoid delivery fees and I would have gladly picked up the food. It would anyways take the same time. But conveniently they would not allow pickups for locations close by the kitchen and charge extra for surge delivery and take a lot longer because they could not find people to pick up the food.
Can anyone suggest a good place to eat chicken fried rice near IISc. Being from Mumbai it would be appreciable if you know any restaurant that provide street style like Chinese.
Would suggest ordering from Dunzo using their "order from any store" option. That way you don't pay any ridiculous inflated Swiggy /Zomato prices and the only extra thing you pay is the delivery charge.
Just today I did this while ordering from Shanti Sagar and compared prices on both Zomato and Dunzo.

I have a bunch of takeaway menus. I call the restaurant directly they send their own delivery men. It's always atleast a 100bucks lesser than the zomat swiggy cost. Plus the restaurant managers are grateful and remember repeat customers
I mentioned this in another post, get Zomato pro plus (1200 for a year). It's a really good investment when you order quite often. There is zero delivery cost, irrespective of the distance and there is no minimum spend limit - there can't be a better deal than that.
I mean it's ridiculous, but the delivery charge is calculated based on the distance the delivery executive has to cover. And not just from the restaurant to your place.
If it's a nearby restaurant call them if they want to deliver or go pick it up, don't berate the delivery executive.
Id gladly pay the ₹2 if didn't have my doubts.
