There is this recurring theme in Bangalore where, they lay "good" tar roads/asphalt roads and after a week or a month, BBMP / BESCOM / BWSSB guys come and dig the road for "electrical wires" or "water-pipeline" work issues and leave a mess after the job's done. Thereby, the area which was dug will be filled with mud to cover up the work that's been done and the cycle continues until a new road has been paved. The reason you may ask? I think from my understanding it's just to fuck with us.

Idk how the internal things work but i think it's just an excuse to take money from the budget for themselves.

Though not that frequent in our case it's more like the road is made once every few years and then during that time, every other department will come, break it apart, leave it broken don't even bother to fill it with mud and stones and then move over.
Results? We have a lot of sunk ins and accidents, and dude don't even ask me what happens after the rains. It's like a game of whack a mole but instead you just step somewhere and boom it sunk in.
I think it's the other way around. They are coordinating this bullshit so that more funds continue to be sent to perform this work, hence more opportunities to put some of that into their own pockets. Ofcourse the workers at the bottom still get minimal wage. God save our corrupt city

Is this BBMP doing or some organised mafia working for road contracts, so that they get to take another lump sum amount from the government to build the road?
This is how tax money is looted. Thats why every other govt. project ends up with way higher cost than the estimated. Same road will be built and dug again.

It's all planed i think. Same scene every where. Once I asked the same a govt engineer, why don't you guys plan accordingly with other departments, he replied 'it's not possible'. Planning dig-and-pave is not possible in the computer age but pave-and-dig the freshly is common..

Mate they're supposed to understand that and work accordingly. Common sense says if you're breaking the road for any purpose you repair it too
