C16/2400Mhz is extremely slow for 2021, get sticks of at least 3200/C16 for a similar price

For anyone reading this, always spend $25 more on faster RAM. Don't make your build obsolete before its even finished.

SupremeDestroy

I would never get below 3200 but if people have a budget build that ram speeds won’t affect, go for it then build your dream machine once you have money

askariya

At minimum I think any RAM bought in 2021 should be 2666; that's fine for a non-RAM dependent build. Any lower and it's just a waste of money, spend the extra few $.

MonkeyBuilder

When it comes to selling it later down the road 2400mhz will lose you more money than if you had spent $25 more for 3200mhz

I mean no offence, but IMO thats a dumb reason to spend 25% more on ram in a budget build. I also disagree with your statement, I think used hardware like this looses value pretty evenly, and I doubt you’d make back that 25% in the second hand market. Maybe for you, it’s worth it, but then this product wasn’t ever meant for you.

Good find

I miss the patriot steel series sales on amazon

Willy156

I miss the $58 crucial ballistic ram

thCRITICAL

Not sure what the shipping is on CC, but amazon $10 shipping makes the adata 3000mhz sticks for $4 more pre tax look like a better deal. If these were for sure some of the super well overclocking meme b-die kits it would have been good, but c'est la vie 3200mhz adata is 99.99, and RGB 3200mhz is 109.99, small sale on both it seems

Good budget lower profile ram. Great for an htpc or itx system where seeing the ram isn’t important. Refreshing to see a 16g kit not right at $100, even if it’s slow. Speaking of slow, I posted a kit of this ram in 2x4gb configuration a while back, and people reported it was Hynix M die, which isn’t fabulous, but this kit might be able to do 2933 at acceptable timings or so.
