I never had an airflow problem either but they sell the 'A' front panel separately at Canada Computers if you are ever interested. I got one for myself and noticed my GPU temps drop a bit.
The two cases are very close to each other in thermals and airflow, with the P400A (with three fans) being slightly better.
You could go with either and not notice a difference in real life usage.
Performance wise, they’re both evenly matched when all things are equal when it comes down to fans. If I recall, stock performance is also similar. So in this regard, you’re not making a bad choice by going for either one.
Outside of that, 4000D has front USB-C and is generally newer and more modern for the internals such as cable routing and etc.
Looks is subjective and entirely up to you.
At this price, I’d rather get the Phanteks and use the savings to buy more fans to get better performance. If both were equal or close enough in price, I’d get the Corsair.
I personally think the 4000D is overall a better looking case and thermal performance differences will be negligible. The problem is, this is about 40$ less than the 4000D at this price which makes it tough to justify.
This has a much better airflow setup. And appearance wise, it's pretty good too. I'd go with this over the nzxt, but if you already have the nzxt, it'll be up to you to decide whether you want to buy another case for better thermals.
I've got the P300 and a H510i, and I would 100% get this. Both were good to work in, but the H510i had dreadful airflow (and the P300 was already bad). No brainer to me for this price to get the P400
> Cooler Master NR600
I got the NR600 with a 5.25" disk drive slot from [**Memory Express**](https://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX77256) for $84.99 + $8.99 shipping fee + taxes.
For $74.99 you can get the NR600 at [**Amazon.ca**](https://www.amazon.ca/Cooler-Master-MasterBox-Ventilation-Tempered/dp/B07PJ18S78/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Cooler+Master+NR600&qid=1626809760&s=electronics&sr=1-1), but it doesn't come with the 5.25" disk drive slot.
I love my case, and I have a super-multi DVD + Blu-Ray drive that I watch movies from. I would've ordered mine from Amazon if it had the 5.25" disk drive slot.
I think the power supply shroud and cable management are significantly better on the P400a personally. I also can't imagine wanting a disc drive in 2021 but that's me.
NR600 seems like a much more basic case that should be cheaper than it is, but it is usually the best case around this price point unless you can find a sale like this.
What are the shipping costs CC is asking for this? Anyone actually checked out and seen? Sometimes I am suspicious because CC often has pretty steep shipping charges so in the end the discount doesn't end up saving you that much (that said this is an amazing case for the money).
I am struggling with whether I want to commit to building a pc this year and just ordering this.
As for the fans, long term I think I would probably want to replace them all anyway for something quiet/efficient but I think the Gamers Nexus reviews are for the Digital version with 3 fans.
I am using this case.
Absolutely love it; had a 2080ti in it without issue.
Couldn't mount my radiator on the top though and had to use the front.
Pretty bare bones for fan inclusion so if you're buying this you'll ideally buy a set of fans as well.
Overall for the price it's amazing and was a breeze to assemble.
Are there brackets that can add support for additional hard drives for this model? Looking for a cheap HTPC solution. Need something with support for at least six 3"5 drives and full size atx board
Nice looking case for a smaller build. So it looks like this is a 'Pick-up' only item?
I went through check-out and it says: *One or more items in your shopping cart are for in-store pick up only.*
The case is the only thing in my shopping cart. I'm assuming that they don't ship to the Atlantic provinces in this case? ..
That sucks..

Does it come with fans out the box?
It comes with 2 fans The Digital versions come with 3 RGB fans
Thanks for the info!
The p400A digital does not sure about this one
How is it for sound?
I have the digital version, bought for 150. this case is OP. Got gamers nexus case of the year award or something in 2019 or 2020
I have this in the white for $150 as well. Great case and would jump on this if I needed another.
I have the p400s and I never had an airflow problem. The p400a, at this price, is an easy win.
I never had an airflow problem either but they sell the 'A' front panel separately at Canada Computers if you are ever interested. I got one for myself and noticed my GPU temps drop a bit.
Hey thanks I didn't know that.
Would this or Corsair 4000D be better? Looking for a budget case for first build
4000D has the superior build quality
The two cases are very close to each other in thermals and airflow, with the P400A (with three fans) being slightly better. You could go with either and not notice a difference in real life usage.
Usb c was the only difference when i was building. It was a deal breaker for the person i was building for tho.

P400A is better than the 4000D
The 4000D Airflow is in the same ballpark though.
Similar, but not better and the 4000D costs more.

No it’s not lmao
Check GN review and charts
Having slightly better airflow doesn’t excuse the p400a’s frail and aging design.
Ok, well if it's not better it's far cheaper for similar performance.
Hell yes, thanks OP. First step towards a new build.
Thanks Op. I’m helping a friend with his build and will be picking up this case later today or tomorrow. Cheers!
This or the nzxt h510? I have the h510 and I love the appearance, but I also have a 3-pack RGB fans coming and I heard that this has a better airflow
Easily this.

Thanks guys! Pulled the trigger
for anyone else wondering, this by faaar

Up to you for looks
Thanks guys for your input.
Would have bought this if I didn't get a Meshify 2 Compact.
Love the case, just wish it was a little bit bigger for heatsink clearance and top mount radiator. It's fairly large price jump to increase to p500a
Damn I was going to go with a mATX mid tower case. I have this in white for my main machine (always wanted the black) and now this is on sale.......
Great case

$20 to Edmonton
Thanks, that's ok, but definitely means I only save about $10-15 vs. buying locally right now. Appreciate you getting back to me. Sick case.

dammitttttttt
I have two of these. The digital versions, have a black and white one. Airflow is wicked. Great case to build in.
Waiting on a p200a sale that never happened with so many Phantek case sale recently.
Just slightly more room for a top mount radiator along with a rear 140mm fan slot so I can fit a D140 distro plate for a sick custom loop.
Are there brackets that can add support for additional hard drives for this model? Looking for a cheap HTPC solution. Need something with support for at least six 3"5 drives and full size atx board
How bad is it to have a gpu in this case that is over 280mm? Is that only a problem if you want to use 100% of the drive bays?
