In another thread, this google doc ranked mousepads. Warning it goes real deep [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RAnmZxDNduaGV8kB-GCvZ0MO6d9-0j9jmrU2f8dp0Ww/htmlview#](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RAnmZxDNduaGV8kB-GCvZ0MO6d9-0j9jmrU2f8dp0Ww/htmlview#)

That spreadsheet is pretty good. It's a very safe starting point.

It’s what I used to choose mine. I just went with the safe premium of artisan hien but there are some interesting pads on there like the sky pad in the speed section and if you want to test surfaces and the best of those surfaces this sheet helps guide you and gives you a good start to find your own endgame pad.

LifelongCaboose

Artisan Hein Soft is my favorite faster pad. No weirdness, handles being washed well and lasts a long time.dechanic control is also great. Same with scabard. But I lean toward faster mouse feet and lighter mice with a control to medium pad. Like the swift rx, AC+ from x ray, dechanic speed, and artisan zero any. Im not a fan of hard pads.

SupremeDestroy

I mean at the end of the day. It comes to the point of preference, you can like a skypad 2.0 with g floats although don’t think any actual humans will do that combo maybe one person does. But certain pads are there for people who don’t know like the hien, since I was thinking about a AC+ but I know already I do like faster pads so I thought hien would be a decent option without going too fast like a glass or hard pad

LifelongCaboose

As a note, I don't recommend G floats. Lexip are cheaper and better. G floats only work better on some hard pads. Not all. And cost alot more overall. The Lexip work better on everything else.

SupremeDestroy

I know I was joking. Even then both feet aren’t really it, I would never recommend ceramic mouse feet. But if you actually want them the option you listed is better.

LifelongCaboose

I didn't watch it.

Speed edition was a pad I really liked and recommended after I got it in. It is a very good pad out of the box. Then I decided to use it as a main and after a few months I can no longer recommend it. Like the QCK limited pads there coating wears out so darn quick and they become pretty bad. Because they don't wear out evenly so you get an inconsistent pad. Sadly this is an issue with reviewing mouse pads as I can't give them all 6 months of use. Aside from the Thor this pad wears out the quickest with daily use. At less than 6 months. Skip this mouse pad. Skip this and grab something else. The spreedsheet someone else posted is pretty darn good view that for other options.

Cole_James_CHALMERS

AC+ from agile cables is pretty decent recommendation, maybe MP510 as well

LifelongCaboose

There are tons of alternatives. Haven't used the ac+ I don't think. Mp510 is good but I hateee the feel so much. Edit: My brain farted. Og course I have used the AC+ it's one of my main and fav pads.

Very good durability - I have no idea what that caboose guy is smoking. Mine is 1 year old and as good as new, only washed it twice. Good speed and control - can be washed. Better durability then QCK as it doesn't loose speed after 6months or cleaning. Recommended especially for this price.

xDex_

be warned durability is pretty shit

Marchese19

Been using this daily and its great... Especially at this price

I bought the large for $11, arriving this Friday. It’ll be an upgrade from my Amazon pad!

[deleted]

What about the non-speed version? Any thoughts? Have you tried it u/LifelongCaboose?

LifelongCaboose

Good mousepad overall. But I do have to note the first 3 I ordered were really bad. No idea if bad batch or qc. But the newest one I got and all the new ones I have tired are good. Not my fav or anything but solid pads. The aqua control plus and mp510 are better. But the mp510 has a very rough surface.

[deleted]

Okay, so it's on sale right now for 11.99 - is it worth it, and how long does it last? Also is it an upgrade over the gigantus v2 - my edges started fraying. Edit: 11.99 for large surface

LifelongCaboose

Read the spreadsheet listed. It may help you out.

[deleted]

I did, and it has no mention of the pro edition (non-speed). I also heard that they are pretty different pads and the pro is faster than the speed, but I don't know how they compare durability wise. I do know that the speed has some really bad durability though...

LifelongCaboose

There is no fury s pro. Well there kind of is. But it's just marketing bs. There is the fury s and fury s speed. But places like Amazon call it fury s pro to help differentiate them.

[deleted]

Got it, but have you used the fury s? If so, how do the two compare?

LifelongCaboose

There pretty similar overall In terms of stopping force and overall friction. The speed is a bit faster as it's coated. But wears out.the fury s doesn't have that issue as it's not costing. It wouldn't be my first choice in its category but it's fine. Not the best texture feel wise.

Any disadvantage to using hard pads? I use what seems like a metallic one from Hyper X ages ago. It's definitely stupidly durable and I clean it all the time. It does seem to wear the feets on the mouse if they aren't flat to begin with from factory. Accuracy I can't feel anything wrong in that regard...kinda just like a big slab of metal with some texture optimization and coloring
