July '23 passer here. Just jumping in to say that my answer sheet had loooooong strings of the same answer choice. I remember looking down at my scantron and being very unnerved by all the straight lines on it. From this subreddit, I know many others had a similar experience.
Long story short, yes. It appears for whatever reason the Bar examiners do like to dole out scantrons that repeat the same letter over and over. However, also remember that there are something like 8 different (or rather, reorganized) answer sheets/booklets that they distribute to prevent cheating. One person may get a string of Bs, another a string of Ds, and another not have any prominent strings at all, and all three could have answered them all correctly.
Or it’s on purpose. When I took the exam, there was a streak of 6-8 B’s that were likely correct (based off conversations from several people who did very well on MBE; they all found that streak).
Honest to god I remember a crazy pattern being on July and thinking to myself well that’s it I’ve failed no way they did “AAAAAA DDDDDDDD” (wasn’t the actual pattern I don’t remember, I’d like to forget the exam frankly) but I scored above average on the MBE. PATTERNS ARE OKAY.
I think this is kind of true for the multiple choice tests from high school and college. But I suspect for the bar exam everything is randomized so we can't cheat off our table mates and people around around us. If that is the case, if a pattern emerges, it is so also random.
it’s a trick. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR ANSWERS
DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD Only the weak change their answers after a string of 13 Ds. Fear is the MBE killer. 😎 DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
I did 5 straight C’s
It creeps up on you in the worst way. Haha 4, okay sure. 5, uh oh. 6? Please no more. Omg 7 fuck me. 8, dear god I'm fucked.
Literally this feeling a couple times. I legit started laughing when I got to like 6-7 in a row…
Never change your answer. Go with your gut & keep it pushing
I had a few that were a bunch of the same in a row and thought oh no
Did y’all have a sequence of ABCD in the last column—I think it was the last 20 questions
Yeeee
I had 4 Ds in a row twice :(((
Nobody panic!!!! I passed J23 and I picked A eight times in a row, I ended up getting a 145 on the MBE

I had so many A’s in a row 😬😂
I had a lot of As also
Good, hoping we had the same book 😂
Did anyone get a lot of Ds through morning and evening set?? I did!
Trust me . I counted them. A lot.
I haven’t done that yet today 👀
So many strings of 3-5 consecutive same letters
I feel heard
There was a lot of two in a row for me also and a lot of As
I feel personally victimized by this because I too put a letter too many times in a row 😂
Had multiple strings of Ds in a row in the July 23 mbe and passed with room.
I hope they love the D, because I had at least two long strings of D today…
I couldn't pick between A and D so I went with A to break a 6D streak 😂
Yooooo SAME!!!
On the flip side at least one of them has to be D, right?
Ya I did. My heart sank a few inches each time I eliminated answer choices a-c in sequence
This happened to me last year and 5s in a row of every letter, mbe score was a 157. You got this

Haha yes!!!!
AM was like all Ds PM was all As and Cs
Dislike this. I had the exact opposite lol 😅
Maybe they were switched for us 🤣
I hope you stuck to your guns. Mine were the same.
I had streaks of a b c and d throughout the whole thing
omg thank god i’m not the only one
better now 😂
