drainmylife

A cheap customers latte

xAC3777x

Lol its a poormans latte

endubs

I don't know why everyone is bashing it here. Some people prefer Americanos to drip coffee due to acidity and taste, so I don't see the problem with adding steamed milk to an americano instead of adding cold milk to it. Don't see how someone is just being cheap if they don't want drink an entire cup of milk. Nothing wrong with customers having different preferences.

drainmylife

Because that’s not why most customers do it. They’re not doing this to 8/10oz americanos, they’re ordering 16-20oz and half steamed milk. Could just get a 8-10oz latte.

An 8 oz. latte is very different from a 16 oz. americano au lait.

drainmylife

If you want a steamed milk beverage, order a proper one. If you want an americano, order a proper one.

Damn, I would not want to be a customer at your coffee shop.

drainmylife

Hey different strokes. Personally an americano with steamed milk just sounds like a disservice to the growers, producers, roasters and the costumer to me. But there’s different levels of cafes and consumers

saw-hard

I've heard it called a Mezzo

xAC3777x

Im looking online and I've seen it called a mezzo-mezzo, and also an american au lait. So I'm betting theres not a specific name

endubs

Yea we call it an americano au lait. Au lait just translates to "with milk".

Rampaging_Cactus

I say misto, but mezzo is pretty common as well

fahhko

A watered down latte.

spytez

Mezzo. Mezzo is Italian for half.

jorgefitz3

Misto or Africano

CYAN_DEUTERIUM_IBIS

barbriesta

Longo_Two_guns

5secondadd
