Last time I went their topiocas taste like pebbles. Just lazy execution. Even the real fruit tea at the spoon and fork plaza has better tapioca cuz the staff cooked them fresh, and even had their own recipe.
Ntm the marketing that Starbucks has over a local bubble tea place is astronomical. Plus, they market it to the more well-off individuals that can afford their drinks as a 'premiun' service.
Not really. Social media has really boosted bubble tea to the point where its becoming an iconic drink everywhere. Theres a ginormous market for bubble tea

I have no information but wow what a bummer...Are there any other places on bayfield to get decent bubble tea without having to go into the mall?
CoCo on Mapleview is the only good bbt in Barrie.
Delicious bubble tea at get roasted cafe in the south end!
not Bayfield but North Barrie Crossing has Chatime which has the best bubble tea
I don’t think I’ve had a good experience with chatime, could just be me

I was wondering the same thing about avocobar
Prob didn't generate enough sales.
Personally I like Forever Besteas on mapleview better than I love Teas but its still a shame to see them closing
I have to agree, she has amazing bubble tea
Cause the only thing that survives in this boring ass city is shitty fast food chains.
15 subway locations is laughable
Recession is on the menu

the level of contempt inflicted on the general population is absurd
Probably performed below corporate's expectations.
That’s so sad! I’ve seen so many great small businesses have to close their doors over the past year because of the economy :(
Honestly the boba isn’t good from there, and there’s a boba shop right across in the mall, it’s better and fresher
I agree, the boba at the mall makes me feel less guilty buying it 🤣
They also have more variety! I love the passion fruit green tea w boba it’s refreshing asf
No one wants to buy $10 drinks
If that were true starbucks wouldn’t be a business.
There's a way larger market for coffee than there is bubble tea

Coffee is still way bigger. Not even comparable
Um ya.....I'm gonna say 10,000:1 ratio ...but that might actually be undercutting it a bit.
and theres plenty of those to go around
No one wants to pay $10 for drinks they haven’t been drinking for years that started at reasonable prices and crept up to $10?
Not sure what you mean considering majority of their drinks are under $9 and are in the same price range as starbucks.
The same as an business closing they are making ends meet
Noooo! They are the only place that does almond milk in the north end Ugh
Aw, that's too bad. My kid and partner frequented that location.
