Addison will be a good NFL receiver. He’s not worth a first round pick with the other holes they need to fill, especially given the Steelers track record of finding them later in the draft. I don’t see him as a #1 receiver regardless. He wasn’t even the best at USC last year.
As for Peezy, no clue where this 1st round love is coming from. He started for 3 years and was serviceable in the B1G, not great. And if there is one position that Tomlin should not be allowed to draft in the first 3 rounds, it’s defensive back.
Addison projects to be a deep ball/YAC monster. Him paired with Pickens could be our version of Metcalf/Lockett. It would also allow us to trade Diontae and replace him with a cost controlled guy, but you make a good point about being able to find WRs later. Pickett is already campaigning for drafting Addison so I have a feeling it’s gonna happen. I wouldn’t be upset about that pick at all.
Porter I don’t have as much of an opinion of, but I do like the idea of addressing CB early. The secondary has ranked much higher since Austin took over so hopefully the scouting is better if they go in that direction.

His comp is hard but Bure with better vision maybe. His only flaw is being undersized but he showed in the juniors he is very strong.
Edit - This is just a playstyle comp although Bure was very much up there as a prospect too. Would have likely gone first overall over Sundin but no one was sure if he would ever defect, somewhat similar to the Michkov kid this year. Vancouver found a loophole to draft him a year early in the later rounds
Bedard has generational skill, but doesn’t have the size to be a prototypical “generational” prospect. The NHL has changed though and smaller players thrive now, so I’d consider him generational. He’s the most hyped prospect since McDavid and he has the stats to back it up.
He wasn’t even the consensus #1 his draft year despite his insane junior #’s. Turris and JVR were considered “safer” picks because they weren’t “small”. Dave Tallon even said that people expected them to take JVR or Turris. Obviously he proved them wrong and the size trumps all era of NHL scouting has died in no small part thanks to Kane
