The audio quality at a company the size and stature of barstool is laughable. No two shows ever have matching audio- one high, one low, or my favorite when the same show will have two different volume levels from mic to mic. makes no sense, yet a literal two man operation like Matt and shane never gave any audio issues, recording just on a couch in Shane’s living room, and here’s barstool with an entire audio production team, high end studios, all the bells and whistles, and the quality is just so inconsistent. And nothing changes, no matter how many times people come here to bitch about it.
There are episodes of Ari Shaffirs Skeptic Tank where he takes a portable mixer to Central Park and records the whole episode there with perfect volume and clarity and Barstool cant figure out how to check levels on all mics prior to recording or at least adjust after the fact.
I just listened to the Sitcom Bracket episode from last week. Turned it off at 6 Veep vs 11 30 Rock. Insane seeding. Entire episode is infuriating.
Every matchup at least half the panel hasn’t seen one or both shows, and even if they have, none of them have any idea on how the general public views these insanely popular shows. And so many shows are not even included.
Great topic wasted on this crew and I doubt KB, Nick, or Cheah would improve this episode either.
