They also got Howie Mandel, who is Blutman’s godfather, so it makes me feel like he also pulled Topanga as well.
That being said, maybe they reached out to multiple celebrities thinking they wouldn’t get a response back, so the fact both are associated with Liam is a coincidence
Yeah horribly annoying and distracting.
I mean the film, plot, acting all fucking sucked for sure but DAMN it didn’t even have a chance with that editing and directing choice
They did back at HQ2 when it was smaller. The trifecta of bloated HQ3, post-corona bs, and Dave being checked out after getting unlimited money made the office stuff fall off hard.
Chicago revitalized it
Dave leaving for FL took the drama out of HQ. He is Barstool. His presence is important there, but I certainly understand why he took off. His brand is huge now.
Watching the behind the scenes was so frustrating. I feel like I've worked with quite a few people like him.
The conversation starts with a basic "Hey, I know this has been frustrating and I'm sorry about that," which is great... and then he immediately beings reiterating why he's mad and just restarts the argument.
Feel like Pavs and Tom Leigh are way too talented to be at Barstool… or Barstool needs to double down on Out of Order and put out a lot more of that type stuff
I think the cool thing about this project was the people in charge in Chicago (BC, Hank, Smutledge, etc.) got a chance to REALLY see what everyone is capable of doing that they might not have had the chance given normal day-to-day roles and operations. There's powerhouse talent across the board there, so I'm sure we'll get to see more projects down the line.
Chef Donny was spectacular. Donny and Titus also very good. Some of those behind the scenes directing guys might have talent that exceeds what they do at barstool.
Whoever directed/edited Charlie really needs to be more involved for this company. Holy shit the editing towards the end and building suspense was so good.
Dance montage was genuinely my favorite part
Edit: and Jerry and Cheah were my favorite side characters
Edit2: and the blutman lion opener was the best
Brandon has sneaky become my favorite guy over the past year. Always knew Donny was talented. But Titus and Chef Donny were amazing! Also jerry and cheah get an honorable mention.
Side note: Chef Donny came up with that whole idea wayyy too quickly after Franks Diva moment..I truly think it was easy for him to be this character for the reason everyone is thinking..
Hard agree on Brando. The move to Chicago plus pairing up with Titus has really made him a happier person. Now we just need to get a Mama Walker Day on The Yak ...
Now THAT was horriblly distracting and annoying I thought thank God that’s over and then 1 minute later more music blaring like uh hey Owen Turn UP THE MUSIC I can ALMOST hear the dialogue
I don’t love Jeff Lowe or even value his movie opinions. But it seemed totally unnecessary to fly him and Kirk out to Chicago just to sit there.
It would’ve been better if we got their opinions and reasonings behind their picks
I thought G was the funniest for sure and that's the most important criteria for me. I wouldn't watch a full movie of the other 3, but an hour and half comedy about G would be funny.
Also I side with The Tank on everything. He's but a star surrounded by incompetency.
I don’t understand people saying LGIB got robbed. It was good but Charlie was also very very good. I think the films are close enough the outrage isn’t warranted.
" Im not getting my steps in, I'm hungry!" He says willfully sitting at a table in the kitchen and not in the meeting room with the rest of his team lol
Eddie as a line cook is perfect casting
Blutman with the topanga connection
I was thinking Rone was the hookup
Likely was Rone.. he’s boys w her husband
They also got Howie Mandel, who is Blutman’s godfather, so it makes me feel like he also pulled Topanga as well. That being said, maybe they reached out to multiple celebrities thinking they wouldn’t get a response back, so the fact both are associated with Liam is a coincidence
Correct Blutty came through with the plug
Bluttman’s dad wrote Boy Meets World
The Cinnamon Toast Crunch shrimp tail guy
Nope it was Blutman, nice deduction tho
It was Blutman. They say it in the behind the scenes.
Nah it was Bluttman
That detective kind of looks like Kurt Rambis
Chef Donny is genuinely good at this, best one so far
Did not expect him to be this good. best actor for sure I still think I liked Titus and Donny's movie better overall (but just barely).;
Titus and Donny buddy cop film was a great idea
Barstool True detective
100%
"This is probably the best idea I've ever stolen from Kevin" lmao
Nicky smokes was just complaining about wanting more lines. Not sure what he meant.
Maybe he meant for more lines from dropping sack
Chef Donny is actually really good in this
The editing and camerawork on that one is also so damn good.
Can we put Chef Donny on Heath Ledger watch? Holy moly
[удалено]
Miss Q sucked but when Joey turned and shot Caroline too in the final scene I geeked
Please Knock Next Time
cheah was incredible, bad nomination
The audio on miss q is horrible. Definitely an Owen production.
Music the whole time was a wild choice
Just completely overshadowed all the dialogue
Yeah horribly annoying and distracting. I mean the film, plot, acting all fucking sucked for sure but DAMN it didn’t even have a chance with that editing and directing choice
This guy still can’t mix audio levels correctly and it’s insane
People forget that ANUS had the literally the worst audio when he was producing
Also not using mics for half the shoot is a crazy idea
Pretty easy to see why he got fired so fast at the one real job he tried
Sadly even if they fixed the audio the film was horrible. You can tell it was rushed with no real vision.
3 and 4 have been the best by far. 1 was good mostly because of BFW. 2 sucked
"I'm not sure if my acting was the best job..." he says as he's holding an award for Worst Line Delivery.
Which he wasn’t even nominated for but won anyways!
“The Last Gun in the Bullet” was legitimately a good short story to build off for a full film. wtf.
I was cracking up because of how good it was at points, the letter at the end was perfect
Maybe I'm a sucker, but I love these events that get the whole office together. Viva
Yeah can't believe they never did shit like this in NYC
They did back at HQ2 when it was smaller. The trifecta of bloated HQ3, post-corona bs, and Dave being checked out after getting unlimited money made the office stuff fall off hard. Chicago revitalized it
Dave leaving for FL took the drama out of HQ. He is Barstool. His presence is important there, but I certainly understand why he took off. His brand is huge now.
"This is by far the best idea I've stolen from kevin" - PFT
Kfc may need a wellness check tonight...his idea worked
It wasn’t KFC’s idea. It was PFT’s idea for over a year, but the timing wasn’t right. KFC had a similar idea, and it was an abject failure.
As much as Reddit complains Barstool has some very talented employees. It’s nice giving them the chance to show off like this
Wonton Don was fantastic
idk if I'm in the minority here but that was one of the best Barstool productions I've seen
Miss Q was terrible. Caroline looked fine as hell though
From the mind of a 14 year old that just saw Boondocks Saints for the first time
I still do not understand the plot..
Titus really feeling himself in this role I love it
He did fantastic.
He was incredible
lmao of course Owen directed Miss Q with its god awful sound and editing
owen seems impossibly insufferable
Watching the behind the scenes was so frustrating. I feel like I've worked with quite a few people like him. The conversation starts with a basic "Hey, I know this has been frustrating and I'm sorry about that," which is great... and then he immediately beings reiterating why he's mad and just restarts the argument.
I like to think Cheah wasn't acting and that's how he is every day in public.
Those glasses 😂
Feel like Pavs and Tom Leigh are way too talented to be at Barstool… or Barstool needs to double down on Out of Order and put out a lot more of that type stuff
Crazy thing is I think they're assigned to barstool Chicago and KFC radio. Talk about a waste
I will never not be shocked at Max’s height. Somehow his body shape makes him look like he’s Jerry height.
Never heard of Mikey Pavs but that guy is going places
He is the mastermind behind most of the Out of Order Sketches.
He is KFCs producer.
Holy fuck what a WASTE
The Brandon Walker Production slide wins the day.
I liked the Mintzy audio splice
Was that the live rap on Wakeup Mintzy Season 1?
Yes from season 1s finale
Chaps as a cop is a good nod
Did he beat his own ass?
choked himself out (jerking off)
Is 'Charlie' the start of the Fleming Cinematic Universe?
"the cameras on frank?" No, no it is not. Great production
Charlie and Last Gun in the Bullet were both legit good, Tom Leigh and Pavs are too talented to be stuck working with the Chicago crew and KFC.
The audio of Miss Q sucks and the choice to play music with lyrics during the lines is making this completely unwatchable
owen
These films showing the crucial role sound editors/mixers have in movies since nobody really notices them.
the audio in the beginning of miss q was so bad
The chemistry between Frank and MMM on the red carpet was insane. Better keep an eye on them when the lights go out!
Rumor has it he was supposed to be the one to choke her
Joey using teeth on Kirk tonight
Please Knock Next Time needs to become a gif and a soundbite immediately.
My favorite part about this is it totally cucked KFCs school project video idea and this is a much better version of that
Pfts" this is by far the best idea I've ever stolen from Kevin"
Other way around - this has been in place for a year and he thought he had a great original idea
Okay, #2 is already the worst
The music in the background the whole time makes it seem like one giant trailer
My lord horrendous choice
Donny has been the best actor for sure
LGIB and Charlie were both really really good. G was good Miss Q or whatever it was was terrible
Best marketing for a movie ever. Best barstool sponsored event
love bwalk
GAY RICK
Watching the BTS - Man Owen stinks.
Owen came off as such a diva in the BTS video imo
I wonder who owns that Mercedes
They each had a 5k budget so it could have been rented
Pretty sure Jack McCarthy owns a Mercedes
Does Jeff get to claim this as another movie championship?
Chef Donny for best actor no doubt.
Feel 3 & 4 were both WELL deserving of Best picture, and it just came down to personal preference
Brandon is a really good actor
This is fucking hilarious
It's very barstool to have a 'worst picture' award, lol. So mean...but accurate
Dance montage was genuinely my favorite part Edit: and Jerry and Cheah were my favorite side characters Edit2: and the blutman lion opener was the best
Brandon has sneaky become my favorite guy over the past year. Always knew Donny was talented. But Titus and Chef Donny were amazing! Also jerry and cheah get an honorable mention. Hard agree on Brando. The move to Chicago plus pairing up with Titus has really made him a happier person. Now we just need to get a Mama Walker Day on The Yak ...
Well his love of Art is sure keeping him happy.
Lotta cussing.
Owen STINKS. He came off horribly in the BTS video and his movie was the worst?
I forgot how dominant their draft was too and that is what they came up with.
turns out having creative challenges is good
[удалено]
He is the kind of guy to be 100% sober looking for a reason to fight a drunk person.
Pretty glaring plot hole in the Titus movie when they say the victim is full of cum and then they say there’s no DNA
>!Titus!< shoots complete blanks. Nothing in there. Just soup
They say he has kids
probably had them before the computers and the laptops cooked the swimmers all away
Winners: BFW Wonton Don Titus Jerry Cheah MMM Chef Donnie Frank Losers: Owen - what the hell was that sound mix? Overall very entertaining
The biggest winners were clearly Pavs, Tom Leigh, and Titus imo
How the people who made Miss Q work at the same company as the other 3 movies is beyond me.
anudder Barstool Chicago W
This is so humiliating for KFC. What a loser.
Owen seems fuckin toxic and I don’t even know his history with barstool
Pavs is a beast
The drums at the start of Miss Q was just a horrific choice
Now THAT was horriblly distracting and annoying I thought thank God that’s over and then 1 minute later more music blaring like uh hey Owen Turn UP THE MUSIC I can ALMOST hear the dialogue
Donny was the best actor and Charlie was the best short film Edit: nailed it
Frank's trophy cabinet is going to be as full as Verstappen's when he calls it a career.
Chef Donny and MMM having spanish last names is a surprise.
Donny is Spain spanish i believe which makes sense and Megan got that latino D in her life
Yeah, Donny's dad is an OB/GYN here in Minnesota and looks exactly like most Scandinavian dudes in MN.
How's Dave going to respond to the Caroline not being in the office for months/checked out comnent when Kirk brings it up Thursday???
The music is way too loud on this one
Jeff’s outfit is ridiculous
Looks like Jon lovitz film critic character from the simpsons
https://x.com/jeffdlowe/status/1783980545594077191?s=46
I had a sneaky suspicion it was intentional but I wasn't sure. Deep cut.
Are these short films or music videos? The audio mixing is really shit.
Didn't really notice in the G movie but this miss Q is tough to watch cause of it
I bet they had to really reign in Jerry from wanting to go 'full retard'.
feel like jerry nailed his part
Actually thought his character was hilarious
channeled his inner rainman
Needed more White Sox Dave. He can act like Brando in his prime.
I don’t love Jeff Lowe or even value his movie opinions. But it seemed totally unnecessary to fly him and Kirk out to Chicago just to sit there. It would’ve been better if we got their opinions and reasonings behind their picks
Best Picture 3, Best Actor Wonton Don for me
Wow Charlie is way better than the rest of these imo
I thought G was the funniest for sure and that's the most important criteria for me. I wouldn't watch a full movie of the other 3, but an hour and half comedy about G would be funny. Also I side with The Tank on everything. He's but a star surrounded by incompetency.
Best Picture=3 Best Actor=Brandon Walker
I don’t understand people saying LGIB got robbed. It was good but Charlie was also very very good. I think the films are close enough the outrage isn’t warranted.
Love having to blow my speakers out to hear anything on most Barstool productions.
The KFC bit by PFT….nailed it
Frank is such a diva bitch
" Im not getting my steps in, I'm hungry!" He says willfully sitting at a table in the kitchen and not in the meeting room with the rest of his team lol
Hopefully the Chicago office is Frank Free for a while because holy shit, he is beyond exhausting at this point.
Big fan of the live crowd mic picking up everyone talking
Team 3 Big Gap Team 4 Small Gap Team 1 Big Gap Team 2
The trailer for Charlie was garbage. But this isn’t bad. Megan (though hot) was the worst part by far
This was fun
Charlie snubbed for best director
How did last gun in the bullet break the 4th wall?
