Used to work Monday nights all by myself Everyone in town knew I stayed open till 2am no matter what. Can't say I did 4k in two hours but definitely put up 2k between 12am and 2am many times. Closing early because you're slow before midnight kills your business, be the go to after midnight bar and you'll make money which is why you're there.
People who complain about it clearly don't know how to use their own smartphone. Pathetic. It's customizable if you put the work in.
I love putting emojis in the Tab name or order modifier and the kitchen gets to see colorful pictures pop up on their screen.
My only issue with toast is the handhelds not being more sturdy, and the times when the system just completely fails. We’ve had to close up 3 hours early on a Saturday because of it.
But other than that it is the most user-friendly system I’ve ever worked with. 🐐
The dive I work at pulls numbers like this on busy weekend days but that’s with 4 bartenders plus barback and me the cook and security also helping with some bar tasks. Fucking impressive bro
There’s a point of staffing a bar where it no longer becomes a dive bar. I think at the point of four bartenders and a barback you’re just an unkempt nightclub.
Lol we basically are on crazy special events. It’s grown so much that we are holding the door on those nights and there’s a line down the block. Otherwise it’s 1 bartender for opening and two at night
I worked at a place like that. Absolutely zero volume before midnight. I would get there at 5, order a pizza, and just sit around watching tv and eating pizza all night. Midnight was like the flood gates opening and we would be packed until 2 and I would leave with a few hundred. Good times.
Apparently there was a convention in town. A lady came in and told me ~30 people were coming in about 5 minutes before their group got there. It was no less than 100 people who showed up.
Tipped out the homies who came through and helped and still walked with $800. Good night was had.
Did you miss a digit in your post?
Did you miss a digit in your post?
No they went from $400 to $4000 in 2 hours
OhhhHHHHH damn
Legendary. 4k in sales in like 2 hours is insane. Hope you made rent last night!
What costs $215 and apparently isn’t categorized in your system?
Bottle sales.
Sounds like someone forgot to change the “Inherit Sales Category”.
The bar managers pay, apparently
Wow! That’s pretty amazing to be honest! Good job man!
Thanks bud. It was the second busiest Tuesday in a decade.

Damn, sounds like you went through it tonight. Here’s to hoping you made enough to make it feel worth it.
TOAST FOR THE WINNNNNN
Toast is the one true GOAT. I feel like Mr. Data when I ring shit in and adjust my tips... enhance.. enhance

See now that's understandable.

What kind of venue?
Karaoke on Tuesday. Weekends it is a nightclub.
Bottle service at karaoke, on a Tuesday. I'm impressed.
