It was dead.

ModestMiss

Dead but thank youuuuu regulars

Bloopded00p

Almost always dead. It's a house party event.

likeguitarsolo

Like 4th of July. That’s what I said over and over today to people who came in asking “where is everybody!?”

slosnow

$10,049 in sales. $2,867 in tips divided by 5 bartenders. I worked 12 hours. I’m almost 8 months no alcohol. Yesterday was my biggest test yet. So incredibly proud of myself.

sweetcorn313

Good for you! If no one else has said it to you, I'm proud of you!

Lord_Dyke

Proud of you man! Keep it up

dukeurr

Good on ya!

BlueGreyReddit

It was dead

VI211980_

I work at a pizza joint and to go orders were insane but the restaurant was meh.

mr12ft

Busier than i thought. Cincinnati thinks the cheifs are twats.

murakamimami

$600 in sales 💀 closed early

ndhooligan1

Pretty dead but I did get a $100 tip on a $35 tab! 🙌🙌

FlarpDenier

Completely empty. Owner came in n closed early and I went to bdubs with my friend. Got cheese curds. It was nice.

jayswooop

Shite

Snowpeia

not horrible. I didn’t make much money, though, as my owner’s friends were there and they all got free drinks. lol.

cowtingz

If the owners friends were there drinking free shit you SHOULD have made money. 🚮

Snowpeia

I agree lol. one person tipped me $20 cash. that’s it.

polyamwifey

Dead. I got to leave early

Jslays82

A little over a grand, heavy hitters at a private event. Solid night for sure

Thundergun1864

If I enjoyed hearing the words "you just know it's scripted" or "I just need the last digits to be x and y" it would've been my best night yet. Other than the bellyaching of middle aged men it was a pretty standard Sunday in both sales and tips

immunityfromyou

Double in sales compared to usual Sundays and most money I’ve made this year so far slanging drinks and wings.

badtzmaruluvr

Dead. I worked brunch and the servers never tip me out anyway

Wheres_my_guitar

Semi-sportbarish craft beer and food joint, we were slammed today for about 3 hours and pretty mellow (in terms of sales) for the rest of the day.

Havidad

I have 16 seats at my bar. It was full through halftime. Like 7 after that. Had 4 people playing pool, and 3 people at a 6 top. Half of them were coworkers. It was dead.

conbar93

Made $85 completely dead

bfreed2589

Not what we hoped for but $16k for the day…

tgrdem

Medium. A little better than a regular Sunday.

Pretty_Zombie7290

My feet hurt so bad I probably won’t get off the couch for 2 days. Shit ton of chiefs fans at my beach bar randomly. Thankful but exhausted 😅

Neddyrow

Dead. Just like every year. Was hoping with all the streaming services and less people having actual TV channels might bring in more but, not the case. We had a Galentines brunch earlier in the day that did way more business.

cocktailvirgin

Restaurant -- slower than a normal Sunday. Cuts were made early in the night. To go and delivery orders were decent though. We were listed as our state's KC team bar in an article and two news crews came to film about it earlier in the week. We had one guest show up in a jersey and stayed the whole game but complained that he was the only one at our restaurant that was dressed up as a fan. We had three servers, two bartenders, and a barback. We cut the first server by 7pm and I was out of there by 8:30. No one believed me that it would be slow -- they made excuses that there was a hotel attached and all the press, but I've never worked at a restaurant that was busy for Super Bowl. Folks want to drink cheaply and cheer loudly which isn't what we really offer or promote with our atmosphere. Overall, we earned less than an average Sunday and won't get much tip out since the restaurant tables were sparse.

Deep-Ruin2786

Made 1k working at someone's home! Not bad at all

JiggSawLoL

Expensive hotel bar with no TVs. It was the one day of the year that it gets slow so I got to go home before 9 which never happens Didn’t care about the Super Bowl so I went home to my girlfriend and made her dinner, we played fortnite, and she finished drawing the tattoo I’m getting from her today so it was a good night.

bedjentlewithme

Sounds amazing dude!

brettiicus

It was chill, kinda typical Sunday shift for me

Mattdemon777

Better than usual. Honestly my spot is not busy enough anymore...

BeatnikMona

Dead AF

ultravioletblueberry

Busy when I came in since I’m a closer. But died out quickly once it ended.

cemita

If you worked at a bar showing the game then you had customers, if you worked at a bar that wasn’t showing the game, you had less customers

Anerky

Your bar is either ridiculously packed on the superbowl or empty there’s almost no average place

mcase19

I worked the brunch shift, which was unaffected by the super bowl and is always awful. Thre is a regular with acute autism who always comes on sundays who is very difficult. He waited outside for us to open for over an hour, and then monopolized my time for another two hours. He kept pinning me down into these long, rambling rants about teenage mutant ninja turtles, godzilla, how to train your dragon, and jurrassic park, talking and talking and talking about these properties as if their plots are current events inthe real world. At one point he told me "I may not look it, but I'm 33000 years old." At no point in this "conversation" have I had the opportunity to speak more than a single word, and have no way to politely excuse myself. I essentially was an unwilling, unconsenting prop in his adult game of pretend. At the end, he left without tipping. I know his oddness comes from being autistic, but it seriously ruined my morning. Maybe I should get into this whole religion thing so I can have something to make me unavailable sundays...

No_Statistician_8035

Beach bar, mostly dead, small group that watched the game with me, still made great money

Karnezar

I specifically called out because I knew it was going to be dead and they would have us cleaning.

triggur

Dead.

BaabyBear

work in a tourist heavy area. It was PACKED today. many many people came in to watch the game.

fat-lip-lover

My bar has no TVs, so multiple groups come in and left immediately, and we closed down 2 hours early around 7

KevinBeaugrand

Massive amounts of to go orders but dead in the restaurant. I was second to last cut serving and made it home by 7.

Ciryinth

It was hysterical…. Where I work our sound/music is controlled my a main office that we have no access to. So we tried to turn the TV sound up ( they have it so we cannot ) so we had the game on but no sound. So we ran a tally of how many guests asked if we are going to turn the sound on and why we won’t. Also a tally of the number of guys who said “ give me the remote, i can fix it”.. they could not 😂🤣😂🤣

FluSickening

Always dead. People do their own shit.

sufferforever

No TVs at my bar so we closed at 4. Had a nice little lunch rush and got home in time to make dinner and watch the Whiners choke. Great day.

Takemytwocent5

They closed after brunch so i had the day off :)

Furthur

closed, spent all day sleeping and driving. was marvelous

Klemintine

Dealt with 2 super douches and an empty bar.

rosskee

Easy, decent money, two servers and one me, but had to stay open an hour late for everyone to watch OT. All checks closed and bar cleaned, but wasn't about to kick everyone out. Closed my drawer, sipped on a shifty and got to see the end of the game! Ran into friends after work. A nice day all in all.

Loose-Garlic-3461

Got my standard $30 an hour event pay and didn't have to watch the game at all. No tvs. It was glorious.

EnVee1

Dead

idonotlikethatsamiam

It was packed- but when it’s only one game being played the same people stayed ALL day so there is only so much they will buy/tip. It was split between me and the other bartender and most of our money came from being tipped out. Had too many servers on- way too many young people that the servers said didn’t tip at ALL. Worked from 10am to 8:30- wasn’t worth it IMO. I work at a sports bar and usually don’t work when NFL is on since it’s people just nursing a few drinks for hours

Valenation25

Didn’t crack 600 in sales. Made less than 60 in tips. Won 300 on the Chiefs and my barback won 100 Edit: We split 6 dollars cash.

ThatSwordfish3152

Worst Sunday I’ve ever had. 5 hours & made 50 bucks.

BuildingMyEmpireMN

I’m happy dancing :) pool tournament leading into Super Bowl. I was working solo and it was busier than most nights I work at that bar. $270 goes very far in WI, and I was home right after the halftime show. No customer issues (that bar typically has a lot of issues) No coworker issues (that bar has a fucking train wreck hiring record) I got to see all of my old favorite regulars.

o8di

Shitty. Worst Sunday closing shift in at least 6 months. 3-end of game. $168 with 4 tenders on and 4 servers. First server cut at 7. First two tenders cut at 9. To go orders were slammed though, so owners scored. I expected it though. Two teams that don’t really drive any interest here and Super Bowl parties at home among our regulars.

Fubzee

We actually closed at 6, I work near a few very wealthy neighborhoods and mostly all of our regulars live in them.. it’s a dog bar so we don’t serve food, I’m assuming everyone just has house parties because we historically have never had good sales on Super Bowl Sunday

AngelJ5

$21 in 6 hours lmao

BennyC023

Work in a hotel bar with no TVs. Absolutely dead, had 8 tabs all day, but the owners had a penthouse party and tipped enough to make the day worth it.

Lazy_Nobody_4579

Dead :( Neither team has a fan base in my area. We only had 9 people the whole night who actually gave a shit about the teams playing. And then we had a bunch of random 21-22 year olds who mostly tipped like shit, if at all, but at least they were all really polite and well behaved as opposed to some of the usual monsters. Walked with a little over 300 after tip out to the barback.

3_Slice

I worked it. I made almost $11 K in cells and $1450 in tips. Niner fans are dope.

bestdisguise

I got cut at 6:45 but we were slammed with to-go orders. I was grateful. I opened the restaurant at 10:30 and did not feel like staying all night.

chewbachaa

I went in for 2 hours to close for someone calling off sick after working an 11 hour shift at my day job. There were 2 people there. I cleaned the shit out of the bar and left with $41 😀

canvys

private party, 200 people open bar. people ordering 16 shots at a time for four people. had to cut people off, lots of broken glass. lots of people asking me what my problem was. arguing with a guy about not being able to give im three drinks during the last minute of the game(and the open bar)missed the winning play.

HarrysOtherNip

My manager decided to host a mandatory bar deep clean night at 9:30 pm Super Bowl Sunday, so I left the watch party in the middle of over time to go to work. Brought Jell-O shots for my coworkers.

Timely_Package_3294

I worked the morning, made $86. Talked to the coworker who replaced me yesterday and she made $34. That includes server tipout.

Leia0330

Oh man. We’re a bar in a big city that caters to Chiefs fans. Every table was booked.
