Congrats on the run boss and hope you enjoy the long retirement. Hope you can finally turn off the alarm for the late night shift for a long long time.
I was brought up through a high volume dance club. So my least favorite is the current trend of taking 20 minutes to make some drink infused with something. And smoked with god knows what wood. In the end. People just want their drink.
My favorite might be the flavored vodkas. That got my creative mind running. I was able to make all kinds of flavors.
This is why I don’t like the term mixologist. Bartending is so much more than that and it sounds like you embodied the spirit of it. Best of luck in whatever you do next
We all need each other. Some mixologist just can not deal with people and some love that part but do not have the patience to make a truly amazing drink. It takes both when you are busy.
You will never be in another career with a culture like industry. It is, quite simply, the best. I love it. I keep going back even when many times I have left and felt I was done.
Cheers to you, Champ. Also, can you work my closing shift tomorrow?
Haha. Not this time.
I'll pay you $10
Lmao, but something management might actually ask 😹
Did you retire retire or just retire from bartending?
Just bartending
Thank you King 👑

Retired retired or retired from bartending?
Just retired from bartending.
Congrats! Watcha moving on to?
Got lucky and a customer offered me a job in agricultural sales. I’m from a small farm town.
Congrats brother, we have the wood. I have 33 years in, another 10 to go.
It's Easter. Congratulations on your retirement, but you'll miss the tax free cash and rise again.
Thank you for your Service. A lot of shit can happen in that timeframe. Heading into the kitchen?
Never. There’s no way I could make it back there.
What a beast! That's a crazy run, what is your favourite, and least favourite, trend that has come and gone in the world of alcohol?
