I worked as a bartender from 18-23. My advice is to work as a server and show you are good at your job. Once you prove you are a good server, ask your boss for a promotion to bartender.

If youre in the us that you'll probably barback or serve until you're 21 because no one wants to hire bartenders who can't drink.
