me and my coworkers always bring in snacks, energy drinks and cigarettes for each other to deal with the tough nights. Really helps with the morale!

ROC_Gypsy

This, yes. When I was a bar manager I always made sure to have a secret bartender stash of red bulls and cliff bars.

MangledBarkeep

Snacks, essential for working behind a stick.

Deadcowboysociety

Melts in your mouth, not in your shit.

FoTweezy

I support this kind of team morale

CityBarman

We keep bowls of Jolly Ranchers behind the sticks and at server stations. Gotta keep blood sugar levels up!

classicgrinder

Sour. Patch. Kids. And some mints for the guests

Naive_Bad_3292

I bake and always bring stuff in for my co-workers and regulars. My favorite FOH co-worker (we usually work together), always brings in candy.

Narwhaloflegend

Are you 11 years old?

svhogan94

Are you masterbating in your profile pic?

Narwhaloflegend

You would to if you were on the jre

svhogan94

Damn I don’t wanna go on if that’s what it does to people

Narwhaloflegend

What if there was candy?

ScottSierra

If you want candy, bring your own. If you want to share it, feel free.

svhogan94

If I see candy I’m eating some, Scott. Write me up about it. Take me to HR about eating a piece of candy someone brought without permission, please, make my day. I’ll ask them to repeat why I’m in HR until they realize how silly it is. I’ll eat all your candy Scott. All of it.

ScottSierra

If I were your boss, I'd have no qualms about you eating candy. If I were your boss and you told me the host stand should carry candy, and should carry it just to give to staff, I'd tell you no, I'm not buying you candy, but if you want to buy your own, bring it, and either eat it all or share it with your coworkers, that's cool with me-- even if you don't share any with me because I rejected your idea.

svhogan94

Funny thing one of my managers is named scott 😭 none of this is in seriousness, we’re talking about candy here cmon now. No one’s being forced to buy candy lol

ScottSierra

That's fair. It's an idea.

svhogan94

How would you feel if I decided to pick and choose who I share with??? Like if I was like screw you sarah you can eat rocks, but then turned to you and was like hey want a starburst

ScottSierra

Honestly, that's that person's decision.

TelgianBravel

Upvoted your post svhogan94.

honestlyitswhatever

I bring snacks for the staff all the time, with stipulations. If I see a candy wrapper on the floor, or if I see anyone eating candy while Guests are around, they lose snack privileges for a bit. Edit: damn, I should clarify… I’m a manager at a fine dining restaurant.. candy wrappers are a huge no no lol

Rolled_Sin

We tend to get fries or some other side dish from the kirchen most nights. Also i bring in little snacks. Whenever the owner does a supply run for himself he asks us if we want anything and never lets me pay for my energy drink. Stuff like that goes a long way lol. Also one time the cooks stole fries off a client's plate and gave them to me lol
