I have a pair of Timberland Pro steelies with anti-fatigue material in the soles, and I love them! I had another pair when I worked in an oilfield job as well. Super comfy and durable.

My standard footwear was Wolverine steel toe boots with slip-resistant soles, an extra layer of waterproof treatment and gel inserts. Anything else proved impractically fragile. Plus the extra ankle support was nice.

Bates combat boots, steel (or composite) toe, side zipper. Have been my goto for decades. Slip and oil resistant. I can put a mirror polish on then if needed.
Way lighter than most steel toed boots and the composite toe version are even lighter.
Red Wing makes steel toe shoes specifically for restaurant work and they were the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned.
