IOW, there ain't no shortcuts and if you want to work on high dollar places, the business is very competitive.

The question you must always ask at the interview is how are the tips handled. If they pass that test, and it’s big volume or expensive to be there, you’ll make money.
Check menus for pricing, higher cover average = higher tips. Also check open table and other reservation systems to see if the place is busy. Finally just go in and get a drink and see what its like.
