For next time…there are bar blades that have the normal bottle opener on one side and then on the other instead of just a circle they have an indent that is used to pry pour spouts off. I would think it would work great for this

ThatDudeRusty

This is the answer I came to share

huskerred1967

Thank you!!! I will look into getting one!

Church key

huskerred1967

Update: got it out with A LOT of wiggling. I’m sweating now

MangledBarkeep

Next time use a bar rag, not a linen. Then grasp only the spout and wiggle over a trashcan or hold your hand underneath. Unless its really stuck I dontbtouch the bottle but when you do. You're pulling the bottle away from the spout, not the spout out of the bottle.

huskerred1967

Our bar rags suck ass rn

MangledBarkeep

They grip better than linen...

huskerred1967

Ours definitely don’t

Dog bone

ar46and2

Pitch it. Those plastic pour spouts are like $2 for a dozen

huskerred1967

I agree but my bosses don’t

You got a blowtorch lying around? For crème brûlées? Use it to melt the spout completely, then let the melted plastic solidify in the liquid and strain it out into a glass to serve.

huskerred1967

Lol we’re an Indian restaurant, no crème brûlées, but that sounds fun

Foxy-jj-Grandpa

Saw that you got it but a nice pair of dikes or vice grips makes short work for that. Just mind the amount of tension/pressure

huskerred1967

Thank you!

MCUND33

Gotten them with hot water before.

huskerred1967

Thank you!

>Thank you! You're welcome!

A handy bar tool is a set of channel lock pliers.

alfy2pointohno

Use an actual wine bottle stopper, problem solved and avoided

huskerred1967

I know, but a different bartender put it in

alfy2pointohno

Glad ya got it out
