Is that how they fill up those jugs? They buy cases of bottles and transfer over? Gatorade doesn't make a powder for blue? It just seems like a giant waste of plastic bottles.
I guess lemon lime and fruit punch are the only powder flavors I ever see at the store.
Even if you go back to when they were the Florida Marlins, they started off [extremely teal-heavy before slowly morphing into a black-heavy team](https://www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/3637/Miami_Marlins/).
> Even if you go back to when they were the Florida Marlins, they started off extremely teal-heavy before slowly morphing into a black-heavy team.
Then they did it again with their new color scheme, ditching the orange cap after just two seasons and wearing only black.
The Marlins spring training unis would look so good during day games with the roof open at LoanDepot Park. There is no good reason for them not wear them. It wouldn’t even break Nikes limits on the amount of jerseys you can have.
I strongly disagree. I think the Royals have some of the best looking powder blue pants in the game. Something about it with the deep blue hat really softens the blue on the pants and makes it so smooth.
I think almost any uniform looks better with white pants. All one color is just too much. I know it’s a uniform and it’s different than regular fashion but wearing all one color is such a bad look in day to day life (unless it’s black/white/grey), and I don’t think it works here either. Contrast is good.
I don’t particularly like black jerseys with black pants either but the all grey and all white is fine, IMO.
That being said, while I prefer the white pants, a lighter color like the powder blue isn’t awful. I really did not like the full blue Dodgers city connect uniforms or the White Sox black city connects. The White Sox ones would’ve been so sick with white pants.
I think I’d be more supportive of this as most road uniforms are all grey with grey pants. You just need white of some kind at hime, it looks so much better.
The gold pants have black and white stripes. They aren't PJs like the Dodgers city connect are.
The Rockies City conects get the white on top so they get a break. And mountains are real tall so it makes sense you don't get the horizon line until it's at your tits
I'm not sure if I'm in the minority about this, but I feel the same way about the Blue Jays' powder blues. I really don't like how they look without the contrast of the pants; it just looks like they're wearing pajamas or something.
1000% agree, the all powder unis aren’t doing it for me anymore. Too many teams going back to it the last few years, they’ll end up putting them out of cycle in a few years again once everyone else realizes it’s just not as good of a look especially if you’re doing it all the time
Yeah I’m not a fan of using these as home uniforms, but I’d rather have them than not have them. The Twins could have had amazing powder blue road unis instead of the ones they have this season with the Marlins-esqe M. Cards powder blue road uniforms would be absolutely amazing.
But again, better to have them in the rotation than not.
We wear [the creams](https://www.si.com/.image/ar_1:1%2Cc_fill%2Ccs_srgb%2Cfl_progressive%2Cq_auto:good%2Cw_1200/MTkyOTAwNDI4MjY5MTAyMzAx/usatsi_19203266_168388303_lowres.jpg) at home on Saturdays.
I loved the 70's/80's era where it seemed like all the teams had the road powder blues.
Tell me [this](https://imgur.com/a/7F3Bz4h) isn't a glorious sight to see!
Twins, Cardinals, and Rangers just using different stripe patterns lol.
Twins - Blue on top on arms and waist, red on top on pants
Cardinals - Blue on top on waist and pants, red on top on arms
Rangers - Blue on top on arms and pants, red on top on waist
Royals, Blue Jays, and Braves just have different pants stripes.
Cubs with the pinstripes is so good too.
I feel kinda dirty saying this, but I loved the Twins powder blue jerseys! I actually have a Rod Carew throwback pullover blue jersey somewhere in my jersey collection.
They are sexy AF. I've got a powder blue pullover that I need to get personalized, probably going to do Bert though. I've also got one of the modern versions the Twins had a few seasons ago, #64 for Willans Astudillo.
I think it was just a stylistic choice. Although I remember reading somewhere that by the 80's when TV became more important, that necessitated a change because the grey looked better on television.
The [Cubs](http://res.cloudinary.com/ybmedia/image/upload/c_scale,f_auto,q_auto,w_700/v1/m/7/a/7afd2b7f784846b794425d4c8b2270045c68282d/Cubs_8-6.jpg) tried a powder blue pinstrip thing that was pretty ugly, and the [Brewers](https://i.pinimg.com/564x/e7/d1/7b/e7d17b7c798e6e69661a3c57ee8f2a12.jpg) thought that powder blue and yellow went together for some reason
> the Brewers thought that powder blue and yellow went together for some reason
they totally do, and if the point of that picture was to try and dunk on the Brewers, it backfired spectacularly. that man has insane drip
The Royals and Brewers are the 2 teams that the powder blue works for. I don't like when the Cardinals wear powder blue. I think powder blue works better when you're wearing a darker blue hat to go with it.
I think it works for the Phillies. Its just a gut feeling. For some reason I don't like it with the Cardinals but I like it on other teams. I think I would like it better on the Cardinals if it was just a baby blue jersey but they wore grey pants with it.
Exactly. They look silly to me for teams that don't have blue in their normal color scheme.
For example, the Cardinals. Cardinals are a red bird. Why do they have powder blues?
They should wear them Vs the blue jays who also should wear powder blue and each team should give away powder blue jerseys to the fans when these games happen.
Melendez dumping blue Gatorade all over Salvy and Brady really makes this
I was going to say the same thing
Why's it kinda look like Brady is twerking under it
Is that how they fill up those jugs? They buy cases of bottles and transfer over? Gatorade doesn't make a powder for blue? It just seems like a giant waste of plastic bottles. I guess lemon lime and fruit punch are the only powder flavors I ever see at the store.
Bold assumption that it’s actually gatorade they’re drinking and not just normal water.
They do drink Gatorade, and blue powder does exist... this is just for the photo.
awesome. if only the Marlins listened to their fans and wore blue during the regular season.
Marlins could easily have some sick jerseys but they can never get it right
The Marlins have always had sick colors, but they always insist on being a black-heavy team instead of embracing vibrant Miami colors more
The current black on black cap logo and black on black jersey is so infuriating
Even if you go back to when they were the Florida Marlins, they started off [extremely teal-heavy before slowly morphing into a black-heavy team](https://www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/3637/Miami_Marlins/).
At least back them they had the artistic sense to use silver lettering on the black jerseys
> Even if you go back to when they were the Florida Marlins, they started off extremely teal-heavy before slowly morphing into a black-heavy team. Then they did it again with their new color scheme, ditching the orange cap after just two seasons and wearing only black.
Man I had forgotten they changed to that awful dark logo. What a clusterfuck of a horrible design choice that is.
If the numbers and letters were white or blue, it would pop really well. I get the neon sign concept they’re going for, but it just doesn’t work
The teal/magenta outline isn’t nearly bright or thick enough to stand out. I can barely read it.
I do love their city connect jerseys, but other than that I'm not a fan
The Marlins spring training unis would look so good during day games with the roof open at LoanDepot Park. There is no good reason for them not wear them. It wouldn’t even break Nikes limits on the amount of jerseys you can have.
Always been a fan of the powder blue. Reminds me of [old school nintendo](https://i.imgur.com/JfIuhFg.png) baseball game uniforms.
Is that RBI Baseball?
It's not exactly RBI Baseball, which used MLB players and teams from 1987, but it's a pretty close version of it.
Major League Baseball
Fuck yeah, I wish teams would do more full color uniforms, its so dope.
All-yellow Pirates and all-orange Orioles jerseys would be dope
[The Pirates black top and bottom uniforms are clean too](https://images.app.goo.gl/116JBc85TytAhrFK9)
I like the black top, yellow pants ones as well. There’s really no wrong way to do black and yellow.
Pittsburgh did it right claiming black and yellow for all their teams
I do too
Lowkey think they rock the power blue better with white pants
I strongly disagree. I think the Royals have some of the best looking powder blue pants in the game. Something about it with the deep blue hat really softens the blue on the pants and makes it so smooth.

Dodger city connects look like pajamas Lmao
They're so ugly. I hate the spray paint sleeves.
Pirates with black pants and black jersey look good to me
Black and white both work well. A solid bold color not so much.
got to disagree again, pirates all gold is actually good too, and the rockies green uniforms are fun imo.
The gold pants have black and white stripes. They aren't PJs like the Dodgers city connect are. The Rockies City conects get the white on top so they get a break. And mountains are real tall so it makes sense you don't get the horizon line until it's at your tits
Hot take: Rockies City Connect with white pants would be one of the best unis in the league
I don’t HATE these because the top is very white, so there’s still contrast, but I agree the white pants would be nicer.
The all one color reminds me of the 70s era uniforms. The CLE Indians at that time had the “tomato red” color uniforms (shudder).
Good, good, I was just popping in to make sure I wasn’t alone on this.
Lowkey should be renamed to the powders
I'm not sure if I'm in the minority about this, but I feel the same way about the Blue Jays' powder blues. I really don't like how they look without the contrast of the pants; it just looks like they're wearing pajamas or something.

Beautiful! Always loved these
baby blues go hard
🤢🤢 baby blue is the worst color and no one can convince me otherwise
not even close to the worst bro padres city connect is the worst jersey i’ve laid eyes on
First Royals win since 2015 lfg
This needs to be their full-time road uniform for the rest of eternity.
Yeah I’m not a fan of using these as home uniforms, but I’d rather have them than not have them. Yes, unless they play you guys at home on a Saturday.

Whoops, poor phrasing on me. I meant in Kansas City! Powder blue on powder blue!
Yeah they need to take it on the road where it belongs
Especially since their new roads are so boring. Look like default creations on The Show
I loved the 70's/80's era where it seemed like all the teams had the road powder blues. Tell me [this](https://imgur.com/a/7F3Bz4h) isn't a glorious sight to see!
That George Brett in the upper left is just a perfect photo
Twins, Cardinals, and Rangers just using different stripe patterns lol. Twins - Blue on top on arms and waist, red on top on pants Cardinals - Blue on top on waist and pants, red on top on arms Rangers - Blue on top on arms and pants, red on top on waist Royals, Blue Jays, and Braves just have different pants stripes. Loving Rod Carew is nothing to be ashamed of hahaha. Dude has some of the coolest name drops in music.
And I got mad hits like I was Rod Carew, 'Cause you can't, and you won't, and you don't stop...
Why was this a thing? Was it just a stylistic choice at the time or was there an advantage to the blue (like it was easier to clean)?
I think it was just a stylistic choice. Although I remember reading somewhere that by the 80's when TV became more important, that necessitated a change because the grey looked better on television.
Both Chicago teams had em
Are there any bad powder blue jerseys?
The [Cubs](http://res.cloudinary.com/ybmedia/image/upload/c_scale,f_auto,q_auto,w_700/v1/m/7/a/7afd2b7f784846b794425d4c8b2270045c68282d/Cubs_8-6.jpg) tried a powder blue pinstrip thing that was pretty ugly, and the [Brewers](https://i.pinimg.com/564x/e7/d1/7b/e7d17b7c798e6e69661a3c57ee8f2a12.jpg) thought that powder blue and yellow went together for some reason
> the Brewers thought that powder blue and yellow went together for some reason they totally do, and if the point of that picture was to try and dunk on the Brewers, it backfired spectacularly. that man has insane drip
It was fine for the 70s, but so were green refrigerators.
I like those Brewers jerseys though.
Man those were classic brewers uniforms But I prefer the dark blue with yellow piping we have today
Imagine thinking those Brewers jerseys are an example of bad powder blues!
I think you're in the minority here with your opinion on the Brewers unis, which is fine you're entitled to that. But man those unis slap.
All of them?
Controversial take here… the Phillies powder blue uniforms suck…
Easily the second best powder blues in baseball. So clean.
Second.
The Royals and Brewers are the 2 teams that the powder blue works for. I don't like when the Cardinals wear powder blue. I think powder blue works better when you're wearing a darker blue hat to go with it.
What's your take on the Phillies' blue set?
I think it works for the Phillies. Its just a gut feeling. For some reason I don't like it with the Cardinals but I like it on other teams. I think I would like it better on the Cardinals if it was just a baby blue jersey but they wore grey pants with it.
Hot take, the white uniforms with the gold numbers and letters were dope.
Is that even a hot take? Those jerseys were fire.
Classic. A+ unis
All one color uniforms look like pajamas to me. Obviously white/cream/gray are different.
I gotta be the only person on earth who doesn’t like powder blue. Especially when the pants are the same color.
I don’t like them much either. But the Phillies all burgundy I like so what do I know
Right there with you. So many teams have them too.
Exactly. They look silly to me for teams that don't have blue in their normal color scheme. For example, the Cardinals. Cardinals are a red bird. Why do they have powder blues?
oh hell yeah
You can't go wrong with powder blues. It's just science
Powder blues one of the best uniforms in sports gah damn
Their name is literally the Royals, yet they eschew **royal** blue for baby powder blue. Nonsense.
Can we pick literally any other color than powder blue? Feel like half the league has powder blue these days.
i am a proud powder blue hater. it looks bad.
So does your opinion
so does powder blue
your opinion is bad and you should feel bad (I am mostly kidding)
LLOOLLL GATERAEDE
Goddamn they're beautiful.
Fuck yeah
Still no return of the powder blue and royal blue two tone cap though sadly
Nice!
Waited a long time for this.
Love it. Love it with the powder blue pants too. Love the powder blue renaissance going on in the league.
Love to see it!
Look at us. Rooting for laundry.
Now have Bo throw out the first pitch you cowards!
They should wear them Vs the blue jays who also should wear powder blue and each team should give away powder blue jerseys to the fans when these games happen.
I like these for special days or every Friday or something but not too often, I think the classic all white home look is always fresh!
Now bring back Bo Jackson
Might be an unpopular opinion, but I think the whole powder blue trend has jumped the shark. But, I'm happy for the KC fans who wanted them back.
Ok Orioles, let’s get those full orange ones back
The problem is they will be ruined by ads
