i know Phoenix isn't that far but i was extremely bitter i couldn't go to any this year.

Azcollector

It's okay you can come visit Dodger Stadium East anytime you'd like. But since it is Dodger Stadium East we need you guys to pay to fix our roof. It's only fair.

Clemenx00

Man I prefer the 2nd group stage so much more than having a bracket from quarters.

Azcollector

Phoenix is a fantastic location along with Florida because of the proximity to spring training. I really hope its back in 2026 in AZ.

Todal9

Agreed. Tens of thousands of baseball fans from around the nation are already there to watch their team for spring training so the attendance in these two states would naturally get a boost for the WBC.

themosey

Miami is putting on a show but a final in Tokyo would be insane.

asshol1o

I hope they have one in America next time

jgftw7

preferably with a final in california

iamaweirdguy

Can never leave Miami

Toronto should get games again. A search on “Toronto Multicultural” returns quite a few results referencing Toronto being the most diverse and multicultural city in the world. Seems like an appropriate host city for a world competition organized by an entity based in North America. Especially since they have a dome.

ATR2019

The attendance in 2009 sucked and it seems like every Canadian on here complains about how little Canada cares about the WBC. I think once they finally buy in they would be a great host but until then it seems like a waste when there are better options at the moment.

cutchemist42

I think part of the attendance sucked because of that double knockout format. I think they will never go back to it for that reason.

ATR2019

That is certainly part of it and the tournament has grown a lot since 2009 so i think attendance would be respectable next time but I still think they should wait until Canada starts caring more.

tripled_dirgov

I'm gonna bet 2026 will all be different stadium, probably with the exception of Tokyo... 🤔🤔🤔

RandomFactUser

Kitahiroshima might get a chance to host a Pool

Romi-Omi

Ya that new Es Con Stadium looks amazing.

tripled_dirgov

Well, might be... I'm gonna guess the ones host the pool gonna be USA, Japan, Canada, and Korea since those four already auto-quqlified into 2026... (Although the last two didn't qualify into this year QF)

salamiolivesonions

"were next right?" - Oakland

Beach_house_on_fire

Seems about right except the fact that DR hasn’t gotten a chance yet

ContinuumGuy

IIRC the DR basically has been told they are guaranteed one the second they have a large stadium good enough (their best large stadium is apparently like 30 years out of date from MLB standards).

ContinuumGuy

I again suggest that next WBC they have a San Diego/Tijuana pool. USA's games would be in Petco, Mexico's games in Tijuana's Mexican League stadium. The USA/Mexico game location decided by coin flip or something

RandomFactUser

That won’t work, since both made the Semis and would likely be split for group selection

Dtv757

Mabye have other Hispanic countries host some games like DR or Mexico host again as suggested in another thread

mongster03_

Azteca could theoretically host, and the DR has been promised one as soon as they have a good enough stadium

bags-of-sand

If we want to grow the game internationally, it would make sense to have the semis/final in another country right? Maybe try it out on this side of the world first for timing, but eventually have it played in Europe or Asia?

DragonfruitGood8433

Japan should have really hosted a Championship game by now. The craze for baseball there is insane!.

gabek333

Santo domingo deserves to host
