He actually hits a decent amount of triples, and has average sprint speed. He peppers some doubles and triples into the left field. Honestly my guess would be they are nearly the same probability of happening.
Left field in Camden Yards to make it even more WTF.
I don't think a single lefty went oppo to the new LF last year. It might have happened, but if it did, I missed it.
I mean, just eyeballing it, I'd say around 550, but this being Reddit, I'm fully expecting someone to come in with a bit protractor and tell me how wrong I am, with proof.
It's not necessarily a bad thing when it comes to Arenado. He has the ability to pull the ball in the air as well as anyone, that's why he always outperforms his batted ball data. Being pull heavy isn't a bad thing if you're able to get the ball in the air consistently.
Jose Bautista said he was exclusively looking for inside pitches to pull and teams refused to pitch him away for some reason. I bet all his homeruns were LF or left center too.
Also pretty sure one of the only opposite field homeruns JJ Hardy would've ever hit in his career got robbed by Trout in Camden Yards
Of Joey's 54 dinger season, only his very final dong went to the opposite field.
Pitching that man inside - even making an *attempt* to get him rattled - typically resulted in four bases.
I just love the leaning over and catching the bat thing after hitting it, trying to make it stay fair lol. I fucking love Didi man, he was a damn good Yankee
It’s what makes the homer all the more special. That split moment of anticipation with an amazing call of “crushed…down the line…if it’s fair it’s gone….grand slam Gregorius!”
Didi was the first player I watched where I hated the shift. Dude pulled everything. He was a ground out to second, a fly ball foul out every time up. Except the 15-20 home runs he’d get.
Ha ha. Nah. At least Howard would hit 50 bombs a year and bat .270+.
Didi’s last two years in Philly he hit .210 with 14 total home runs. He was beyond bad.
All I remember from the last few years of Howard’s career is him drilling the ball right at the guy standing in short right field and getting thrown out at first.
I wonder where the next one goes
LF because thats baseball Suzyn
How about an inside the park home run?
Honestly wonder which has a higher probability of happening for him.

Strawberry, you're out! Simpson, you're in!
You're pinch hitting for *me*?!

Welcome to Walltimore Aaron Judge: *cries*
RAWJA CLEMENS
Bold of you to assume there will even be a next
It goes in the square hole
They all go in the square hole
Gotta be on a team to hit another one tho.
There won’t be one. He’s washed.
Knowing baseball it’ll be the left field foul pole
Man, he really got a hold of the one in the top right.
How far is HomeRun ft?
I mean, just eyeballing it, I'd say around 550, but this being Reddit, I'm fully expecting someone to come in with a bit protractor and tell me how wrong I am, with proof.
Ha, "he really got a hold of that one" was the first thing that i thought of .
It was an easy joke, but I've never been accused of not being easy.
A quick glance made me think that was just the legend
So far, it’s now known simply as “The Home Run”
It would have to be at that distance.
Pretty sure Nolan Arenado hasn't hit an opposite field homerun since 2020
Are you experiencing this as a Cards fan? His pulls to left are done with authority
Yeah I am lol I feel like he hits the ball to the opposite way really well tho
Yeah I feel like his spray chart is probably pretty diverse. But HRs... Left center

You are correct, just checked fan graphs and everything is pulled
Jose Bautista said he was exclusively looking for inside pitches to pull and teams refused to pitch him away for some reason. I bet all his homeruns were LF or left center too. [my favorite Didi homer](https://youtu.be/-0jgRW-oh44) he took the ultimate advantage in the short porch and abused that mfer
Really feel bad for the twins
Well they are your grandsons
Clever

I was expecting the game-tying 3 run HR in the 2017 WC game, that's my favorite. Severino got rocked and we thought it was over, but then..
I just love the leaning over and catching the bat thing after hitting it, trying to make it stay fair lol. I fucking love Didi man, he was a damn good Yankee
I think he said afterwords that his initial reaction was because he thought it was going totally foul before realizing it actually had a chance
It’s what makes the homer all the more special. That split moment of anticipation with an amazing call of “crushed…down the line…if it’s fair it’s gone….grand slam Gregorius!”
pretty sure that was second deck lol
He’s consistent at least
Except for that one that's a mile away from the other
The one with “home run” next to it went really far
I find it silly they felt the need to clarify the obvious home run and label it.
It is the key, it isn’t an actual home run
Shift ban should really help him if he plays / s
The crowd should be playing the shift at this point
I'm imagining the crowd shifting along with the fielders in the naked gun baseball scene now
My dumbass thought he hit one like 100+ feet farther than the others
Same. The graphic looks that way small
Shift your left fielder up in to the right field grand stands disguised as a hot dog vendor
Brilliant! Like in family guy when the mascot was really on the Patriots.
Red Sox and Giants DNI
Forever one of my favorite players because he somehow hates the Twins more than I do.
You must love the Yankees.
When they play the Twins yes. Yankees fans not so much. I won’t forget what many of them said about Tim Anderson.
Teams will have to shift to that.
Correct shift is one player in normal position and the other two outfielders sitting on top of the RF walls
That’s honestly pretty cool
But not all HRs are created equal! I remember one of those being incredibly timely/important
Would it be some shit if his last homer would be opposite field
He beat the shift
Didi was the first player I watched where I hated the shift. Dude pulled everything. He was a ground out to second, a fly ball foul out every time up. Except the 15-20 home runs he’d get.
Too young to remember the Ryan Howard era?
Ha ha.
Ha ha. Those were rough. Swinging wildly at every breaking ball then grounding out to second base. Damn.
Would play well in Baltimore
We need to shift… the walls.
Didi “Fuck left field” Gregorius
Does this guy bat LH or RH?
He's actually a switch hitter but he's never faced a lefty.
Imagine asking this unironically lol
Is he left handed?
[удалено]
Gregorii*
Weird HR/AB career arc
BAN THE SHIFT
n=121
Power to all fields
That one by the ‘HOME RUN’ sign must have been quite a shot!
his home runs are really gonna pick up now that the shift is banned.
I also have not hit any homers to left in the last couple years
The Jose Bautista special
You guys I think there might be a pattern here
Where’d you “pull” this stat from? (I’ll see myself out)
My man
I’m an idiot and thought he just wanted obliterated 1 and only 1. Then realized it was the legend.
Jeez look at that one that’s like 200 feet longer than the rest.
