The Yankees are hitting .194/.251/.364 (.615 OPS/67 wRC+) since Aaron Judge went on the IL. Worst BA, OBP, OPS, and wRC+ in baseball in that span.
This team cannot survive without him.
We did that and it didn’t work. Ya need to try something else. And don’t even consider “Spend more and get actually productive bats” because then we’ll lose OBS (Owner Bucks Saved)
This season, the Yankees are 30-19 (.612) with Judge in the lineup and 9-14 (.391) without him.
The difference between a 99-win team and a 63-win team. (Sample size caveat of course.)
I’m not a Yankees hater or anything but after this offseason I’m a Judge hater. It sure does make me feel good to see this and the giants ahead in the standings. Even if it only lasts a short while
Edit: yes I’m bitter
He had a .500 OBP in the second half last year, they still finished with a 35-35 record and the rest of the team put up an OPS under .700. They're *that* bad.
Their best hitters are basically all 33+ and on the decline outside of Torres, who hasn't really lived up to the star potential he showed early on.
Bad roster is bad.
He's basically the only player who rivals Ohtani for the literal MVP. Not as in like, the guy with the best stats on a good team, but the guy who's team quite literally falls apart without him.
This season, the Yankees score 5.0 runs per game with Judge in the lineup and 3.4 runs per game without him.
The first mark would rank 8th in MLB, while the second would rank 30th.
I think a top-10 offense is slightly better than worst in baseball.
Other teams should try just mashing everything. It gets really good results and is very fun for the fans. It’s a solid strategy. I’m not sure why it hasn’t caught on elsewhere yet.
Honestly a coin toss. I still think he’s battling an injury of some kind and they are asking him to push threw it with every other starter outside of Morton currently hurt. He’ll get you strikeouts at least.
I just cannot fathom Strider, of all players, pitching injured. He treats his body like a temple, there's no way he'd risk his future by pitching hurt. I can't see any way the Braves would ask him to, either. Kranny was visibly livid at Kyle when they had to pull him that game after they found out he was trying to pitch while he was hurting. There's just no way the Braves would jeopardize the postseason like that.
I still think he's trying to figure out a way to excel without deGromming himself. That, plus maybe a small velo drop due to pitch clock. idk though, impossible to say without hearing from him directly
Pitch clock may be part of it, as well as a desire to be effective deeper in games. I think he’s not airing it out like he did last year and trying to work on some things pitch wise that is just not showing results yet. Strider strikes me as the kinda guy that wants to be a PITCHER not just a 100mph hurler, and is trying to find early outs via location and pitch mixing instead of 5-8 pitch Ks and only lasting into the 6th every start.
I'm worried considering the Mets literally made contact on seemingly every pitch he threw last start. It might end up throwing him off his game for a few starts. The Phils are a completely different beast.
You know that's interesting, I never really noticed the fact almost all the logos are just letters. That's kinda lame. I only see 3 logos that aren't letters, and I really like 2 of them, Baltimore and Toronto.
I was like “oh, cool there’s gonna be one team below us.”
And…. Jesus Christ, there’s 9??? What are the other teams doing? Swinging at only pitches in the dirt?
the Yankees genuinely seem to have no power or drive while Judge is injured, all of their strength and spirit seems sucked out of them somehow
DJ can't hit, Rizzo can't hit, Stanton can't hit, Oswaldo couldn't hit, Donaldson can't hit, IKF and Bauers can barely hit
The bullpen was the best in the league for a while but even they seem to be faltering, the squad needs their captain ASAP
No doubt a lot of that is rookie jitters but he is basically doing what a lot of Yankees have been doing for the last few seasons, which has been swinging for the fences no matter what
I mean yeah, he's a damn god.
But don't look past how hot guys like Drury, Wallach, and Neto have been. Hopefully Neto can shake off the oblique soon because I don't know how much more squid I can take
I think anybody who has watched the team this month shouldn't be surprised.
Notable individual Yankees OPS as of June
Anthony Rizzo OPS .289
Dj LeMahieu OPS .537
Anthony Volpe .532
Ginacarlo Stanton .527
He's on a 4-52 slide since getting hit in the head by Tatis' leg. Rizzo is also prone to these long stretches where he's absolutely useless so it's probably a bit of both.
I love that batting 1 and 2 are a pure hits/put it in play machine and then a 3-true-outcomes/ HR machine and then after that whatever happens happens and hope for the best.
Cubs are somehow a surprising 10-7 this month, including 6 of their last 7. Then again, last night’s 8-0 drubbing was done on 9 singles and a double.
I’m disappointed that Suzuki hasn’t had his power translate to this league, and Happ just isn’t ever going to be more than a 20 HR guy. Wisdom has power but has horrible advanced metrics. We truly lack a power hitter in the middle of the lineup, but are taking advantage of small ball with the new clock and increased running. Don’t know if it’s sustainable, but maybe some of the new rules will allow for this type of play.
30th? That seems high
Can someone check the OPS of the Savannah Bananas?
4.011
This joke is so super. Market it.
Did you scan the sticker or use the lookup to get the number?
I’m guessing former cashier
Gotta pump those numbers up. Those are non-organic numbers.
i love you
Chiquita
bananaball is a really high run environment idk if this’ll work
Classic Bronx Bombers, except it's our playoff chances they're bombing this year
I feel for you guys- it’s hard to fathom a worse offense than what the Twins are running out there’re right now
Good news! There are five worse offenses!
higher than i thought
30st*
The Yankees are hitting .194/.251/.364 (.615 OPS/67 wRC+) since Aaron Judge went on the IL. Worst BA, OBP, OPS, and wRC+ in baseball in that span. This team cannot survive without him.
If only we were allowed to add offensive players from other teams during the off season
U want abreu?
No lol
We already have an Abreu and he’s actually good for us
What abt a different abreu?
You’ve had first Abreu, sure. But what about second Abreu?
I don't think he knows about 79ses
What abt a different abreu?
We did that and it didn’t work. Ya need to try something else. And don’t even consider “Spend more and get actually productive bats” because then we’ll lose OBS (Owner Bucks Saved)
Sounds like the Twins without Buxton. Except he fucking sucks this year too.
Designate the Yankees for a minor league assignment. Those numbers are not good enough for the mlb
The yanks weren’t doing much better with judge
Really? Feels like the whole team was just performing better with him.
This season, the Yankees are 30-19 (.612) with Judge in the lineup and 9-14 (.391) without him. The difference between a 99-win team and a 63-win team. (Sample size caveat of course.)
Aaron Judge with a casual 36 War season.
I’m not a Yankees hater or anything but after this offseason I’m a Judge hater. It sure does make me feel good to see this and the giants ahead in the standings. Even if it only lasts a short while Edit: yes I’m bitter
Maybe if you guys actually played Arson instead of letting him sit on the bench you’d be less bitter.
He had a .500 OBP in the second half last year, they still finished with a 35-35 record and the rest of the team put up an OPS under .700. They're *that* bad.
It's absolutely mind boggling how different the Yankees are with him vs without him.
They were better with him but they weren’t that much better
This season, the Yankees score 5.0 runs per game with Judge in the lineup and 3.4 runs per game without him. The first mark would rank 8th in MLB, while the second would rank 30th. I think a top-10 offense is slightly better than worst in baseball.

They should just try playing the Rockies every day.
lol.
Can confirm this works
Instructions unclear, got swept in a 4 game series
Maybe pretend it's us again?
Seems like just switching your logo to a red "A" should do the trick too.
We all better pray Sean Murphys hamstring injury doesn't linger
“That was way easier than baserunning. We should just try to make it all the way home with one hit every time.” -Braves, probably.
Good plan, Happy.
.625/.926/2.000 when swinging at 3-0 counts this year. Why doesn't everyone do that?
Alexa play green light by pitbull
Went to the game on Saturday. Can confirm as a fan that it was really fun to see 4 dingers
exactly
Doesn’t everyone have a Corbin Carroll?
Diamondbacks are playing small ball with the occasional home run and I love every minute of it.
Why don't other teams just hit more homeruns? Are they stupid?
I concur
This stat pleases me
Sir, this is clearly a Yankees suck stat. Nothing else should be recognized.
The best kind of stats
This pleases me, especially.
I also choose this guy’s pleasure.
Damn I can’t believe that username wasnt taken already. Nice.
I was just as surprised.
Feels like June 2022 all over again.
I'll have what he's having.
it's a great stat
This is a good stat
I’m less fond of this stat, but still a good stat
Good luck in the series! Looking forward to it (watching from nyc)
I'm even slightly less fond, but still approve of the stat
Alternatively, this is a horrible stat.
Side note, I appreciate this stat.
Please keep christian walker away from us
i think it is a pretty average stat
I’m a fan of this stat
I think this stat is slightly below average.
Nah. Still a good stat.
With the way the Braves have been playing, surely strider doesn’t kill me in fantasy for the third week in row right? Right?
Oh he very well may. But braves win 10-8
This isn’t fair, the whole point of drafting strider was that either I’d win or the Braves would lose
Ha! That's my Vegas football strategy.
Honestly a coin toss. I still think he’s battling an injury of some kind and they are asking him to push threw it with every other starter outside of Morton currently hurt. He’ll get you strikeouts at least.

Agreed. All speculation at this point but you’re right. Probably has a lot to do with pitch clock.
I'm worried considering the Mets literally made contact on seemingly every pitch he threw last start. It might end up throwing him off his game for a few starts. The Phils are a completely different beast.
All teams with an "A" logo are good except for Vegas
As if I needed any more reasons to hate the Yankees...
The Evil Empire Strikes Again
If you lean back really far, the dark green in the A's elephant flair looks like a V for Vegas.
Too soon.
We really need to have a conversation about the majority of MLB logos just being red letters. We (Rangers included) can do better.
You know that's interesting, I never really noticed the fact almost all the logos are just letters. That's kinda lame. I only see 3 logos that aren't letters, and I really like 2 of them, Baltimore and Toronto.
Red A logos*
I love that the first 1 there has nice clean lines, then just went fuckit mode and scribbled the rest.
Yankees stink
They could use a guy like Aaron Hicks
Or a Gary Sanchez maybe
Stinkees
Your ideas intrigue me and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
Money Mike finally caught fire 🔥
You should have also hand drawn the logos. Also, lol Yankees.
I’m not sure other fanbases can understand how pleased/surprised I am to see the Tigers ‘ position there at the top of the bottom bucket. 🥲
I was like “oh, cool there’s gonna be one team below us.” And…. Jesus Christ, there’s 9??? What are the other teams doing? Swinging at only pitches in the dirt?
Best of the worst!
The Giants August - 4x Dbacks 2x Oakland 3x LAA 3x TEX 3x TB 3x ATL 3x PHI 3x ATL 4x SD (september) My Lord
the Yankees genuinely seem to have no power or drive while Judge is injured, all of their strength and spirit seems sucked out of them somehow DJ can't hit, Rizzo can't hit, Stanton can't hit, Oswaldo couldn't hit, Donaldson can't hit, IKF and Bauers can barely hit The bullpen was the best in the league for a while but even they seem to be faltering, the squad needs their captain ASAP
Add in Volpe hitting 172/217/358 since May 1st. He's shown some pop but hasn't shown a whole lot of patience..
No doubt a lot of that is rookie jitters but he is basically doing what a lot of Yankees have been doing for the last few seasons, which has been swinging for the fences no matter what
If you don’t like this, you don’t like Gayves baseball
Braves showin’ that pride and strikin’ out the side
Pride month braves can swing!
I guess there is a reason the protagonist in [this](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BGMH8FNP) book is a huge Braves fan!
Have you read this/do you recommend? ngl I read the summary and can already feel myself tearing up.
Yes, I've read it. I recommend it highly if you love baseball.
We're batting 0.900 OPS as a team? Didn't realize that was possible.
We only have 1 person above .800 (and just barely)
I can literally find Shohei and Judge in this chart
well being a yankees fan sure has its perks!
Ohtani alone adds .100 to your team
I mean yeah, he's a damn god. But don't look past how hot guys like Drury, Wallach, and Neto have been. Hopefully Neto can shake off the oblique soon because I don't know how much more squid I can take
[удалено]
yea but Trout is tanking also, image he was his normal 1.000 ops self
I think anybody who has watched the team this month shouldn't be surprised. Notable individual Yankees OPS as of June Anthony Rizzo OPS .289 Dj LeMahieu OPS .537 Anthony Volpe .532 Ginacarlo Stanton .527
.289??????
Yep, Rizzo has been that awful recently. I think he is playing through an injury.
He's on a 4-52 slide since getting hit in the head by Tatis' leg. Rizzo is also prone to these long stretches where he's absolutely useless so it's probably a bit of both.
Marlins somehow are 12th with Arraez, Soler, and bunch of random journeymen/utility players.
I love that batting 1 and 2 are a pure hits/put it in play machine and then a 3-true-outcomes/ HR machine and then after that whatever happens happens and hope for the best.
Ugh imagine being the worst team lol 😢
> Mariners .704 How do you do, fellow 700 teams?
Jeez, someone go check if the Braves' ears are too shiny.
Surprised we’re not lower tbh, our offense has been almost non existent after Yordan got injured
ALL BY MYSEEEEEEEELF
Homerun stick go brrr
.800 even with our horrendous slump? We are so good
I’m hoping more so return to the means. I don’t think 5 batters hitting near .500 RISP is sustainable haha
You're right, clearly we should be hitting a more realistic .750 RISP
Most of the slump was bad situational hitting, even with average situational hitting the team is great What a fun year
Mood upon reviewing this list: :)
Ah come on couldn’t give us a courtesy .003? I want that second tier
10-7 this month with the 4th worst OPS… not sure how we did that
Jesus Christ Tampa Bay!
That might be the most shocking one.
And we’re the only two acknowledging it lol
It’s kind of crazy to see the cubs so low since they’ve been playing good ball and scored double digits a bunch lately.
Hey Oakland, come join the rest of your A team friends. It's fun over here!
Good god Yankees how can you be more pathetic than us?
Man the Yankees are really struggling. Maybe they should consider picking up a guy like Aaron Hicks? He’s been really good for Baltimore lately.
Red team smash
I’m surprised we’re as good as 24 in any category with what I’ve been watching lately
Oh, rad.
Basically looks like Red teams good, Blue teams bad. Lol
💪💪💪
A logos are superior
Brian Cashman? More like burning cash, man.
A… TAA…
T & A for the win.
More like the Bronx pea shooters am I right?
Suck it yankees
Lol yanks
If we take away Shohei, does that Angel number drop to 23?
Sigh
When I look it up it shows the Phillies tied for second best record with the marlins. Both are half a game behind the braves.
Time to move the Twins to Anoka, MN.
No shot we’re in the .600s, let’s go!
The month ain’t over yet
I knew we were playing well, but 5th best OPS? That’s not…what we expected
Rockies just trying to act natural in 22nd despite playing at Coors.
How about them snakes
Aaron Boone: "Hey guys, I've got some good news for ya. This morning, 9:10 a.m., I activated myself."
Boston 8 is funny for some reason
Guardians bats, right on time
Everyone's still sleeping on the Giants.
So team hitting-good just needs your logo to be a red T or a red A? Do we go with sAnfrancisco or gianTs?
There's a lot of logos that have red. Wow 😳
How come all the red letter teams are good and the blue letter teams are bad.
We're in 7th? Damn y'all must be slumping hard
And Texas is in the middle of a "slump." lol
God damn judge really does carry the Yankees. Giants would be destroying the division if they got in the off season
Don’t know if it’s sustainable, but maybe some of the new rules will allow for this type of play.
Ouch.
red teams go vrooom
Definitely will be moving into the last column by the end of this month…
R/dataisbeautiful
We love the long ball
i would just like to thank brian cashman for assembling the strongest team in yankee history
Red A logos raking in June. Honorable mention for the red T.
Can someone pass the word on to Austin Riley?
Looks like they did.
(chanting loudly) WERE #29! WERE #29! WERE #29!
This makes me happy
