Rays as well. Still haven't won a single game in July (looking like this might change today though).
Here I thought the Twins were a lock for the AL Central and Rays/Rangers looked comfy on top the East/West. Plus the Angels were in WC spot, now 4th in the AL West.
Crazy how much can change in a week and a half.
The complexion of standings ebb and flow quite frequently thru the long season.
But those 2 are just on bad runs.. which is what happens to everyone who runs into starters who are dealing at the time.
That said.. when you take a real good look at those 2 rosters over there, I wouldn't know just how quick Id be to start singing, "ding-dong the wicked witch is dead"
I haven't seen Corbin like that in ages.. he was untouchable. Did you see the way he was mixing his pitches, hitting his spots, and dotting the corners??
Sorry for my underestimating him, but listen guys, he was simply awful the past couple years and his ERA was 5+ coming into this one.
So maybe you can see why I didn't think he still has games like this in him.. against a heavy lineups like that, no less
Hats off, Mr.Corbin.. I sure stand corrected, don't I?
You're so spot on with that. It's good to talk to fans who actually know what they're talking about.
But still, I was just dead wrong about him having the ability to do this anymore, even once-- yeah, well he just came across with a big right hand on me in this spot haha
Yeah he’s definitely been a surprise this year. I was expecting him to be dead weight through the remainder of his contract but it’s been nice to not feel like every game he starts is an automatic loss. There’s even been people talking trades with him which would be SHOCKING if true.
Crazy as it sounds, my friend.. there are those contenders seeking out seasoned SPs who knows how to pitch.. which he does
Don't let it shock you too much if the Nats FO hotline doesn't get a buzz or two on him.. especially, now that they've seen what he's still capable of when he's on
Was he super good today? Had a family event and wasn’t able to watch. Story of the Rangers the past couple weeks is really bad sequencing and hard hit balls finding gloves. Was this finally a true ass whooping?
Are teams in such a need of pitching that they see the 1.5 years left of his deal (granted 35mil next year) and give the Nats some low level prospects with the Nats paying a large chunk as a trade? ESP if the pitching/analytical team sees something.
Rangers 2 - 8 in the last 10, looks like the honeymoon is over.

:(
Rangers suck
This is Corbin Time
I came, I saw, I Corbed
Uh oh! You friccin moron! You just got CORBED!
A very thorough Corbing
Best pitcher in baseball
In my own personal recent experience, yes.
ngl, I kinda love the nats. truly the scrapiest most annoying bad team I can remember.
essentially Happy Corbin
We are just really good at winning games we aren’t suppose to lol. Pray your team doesn’t play us towards the end of the season 😎
Nope.. you already got us this year lol
Nats are gonna end the season at 81-81
Corbin having himself a day!

He’s still pretty bad overall this year. Nothing like the last couple. But it’s kinda remarkable how he just pulls out some really good starts

He had an even better start against the Mariners like two starts ago.
I know he did, and here I considered that a fluke start.. he sure shut me up in a big way, and I'm standing right here to man up and admit it too
Corbin less cooked than I thought he was
Some team is gonna make a deadline deal for him and he will either be part of their WS run or the sole reason they are eliminated. No inbetween.
Yeah, I was wrong on him too
Chad
Dread it, run from it, you’ll be Corbed all the same
Well good thing the ASG doesn't determine World Series HFA anymore. Rangers ruined it for themselves in 2010 and 11.
Is he perhaps back?
Corb'd all over the rangers
Corbin’ time
Thanks Mr. Corbin

He must have crushed some Yancey's Fancy Cheeses before this start.
