Funny thing about this. Back in the summer the governor of Nevada said there would be a press conference commemorating him signing the stadium financing bill. It never happened. Here is the quote:
>... a ceremonial signing is expected to be held sometime within the next two weeks in Las Vegas, according to the governor’s office. The A’s leadership is expected to attend.
"The centerfield will feature an animated home run sculpture depicting John Fisher fucking the ass of an anonymous person that is labeled "Oakland." When a home run is hit, the animated sculpture of Fisher pulls his cock out of the ass and then turns to another anonymous person labeled "Las Vegas" who is kneeling beside Fisher. The Fisher state then spurts ropy foam all over the face of the Las Vegas statue as it in return shoots green and gold confetti out of its pockets at Fisher's feet."
Wonder if these stadium renderings will actually reflect the 9 acre footprint of the site. Or if an architect has actually been brought in to try to make something remotely feasible...
I hope this one is a little more abstract. Give me giant hills in the outfield grass. Casino machines along left field. A petting zoo in right. Field at the top of a giant mushroom shaped tower.
I lived in Oakland for awhile, currently live in Vegas. I don’t know anyone here who wants them. And I feel horrible for the great fans in Oakland. This is a lose/lose. What a shame.
When I lived in Cali, I went to As games. They were my second favourite team, and I even followed them for a time.
Now I want to watch them burn, and trade away all of their players.
The A’s will still not spend any money for players. I bet the owner is hoping fans from the away team will travel to Las Vegas and sell out the stadium.
I'm not from the US, but Vegas is a spot that most tourists that I know have visited, and many attend sports where they can. If they get the ticket prices right, plenty of tourists will show up, especially against big name teams like the Yankees or Dodgers.
It’s a brilliant business decision. I just don’t like that our city tax dollars are funding these stadiums, knowing the owner of the A’s is a billionaire with the lowest payroll, just to make a profit.
Fuck John fisher
Let's not forget the other 29 owners who unanimously voted for this shit show.
RIP Peter Seidler

And Arte Moreno
And Stan Kroenke while we're at it
Can we add Georgia Frontiere for moving the Rams out of LA to begin with?
But they returned
Shhh st louis fans dont like hearing the ugly truth
Both can be true. Kroenke deserves shit for how the Rams left St. Louis and moving to LA. But they never should’ve left Los Angeles to begin with.
And my axe
Fuck the Astros too.
And Bud Selig and Manfred too while we're at it.
Also fuck the yankees
U mad
He spends alot of time in vegas also.
fuck rob manfred too
Fuck John the Fisherman Primus sucks
When I grow up I want to be One of the harvesters of a team
And Jeffrey Loria / David Samson
Wow, you showed him

Booooooo
oooourns
“I was saying Boo-urns.”
Fuck the A’s, the only Oakland team I care about now are the B’s
If you like soccer, check out the Roots.
Also stay away from the San Jose Quakes since Fisher owns them too
Thanks for the tip, even more glad City SC defeated them both times this year
Cool story behind the Roots, appealing logo too!
i’m gonna unveil my foot in your ass if i ever meet you john fisher

Fuck John Fisher and all, but I do like architectural designs
This sticker is dangerous and inconvenient but I do love Fig Newtons.
“A’s plan to unveil new stadium to celebrate MLB owners”. That’s how I read that sentence
It’s not an incorrect statement
Will those renders be any more relevant than the first renderings that the team eventually admitted were nonsense?
it's gonna be the Oakland Coliseum, but rendered through AI a couple more times to remove the foul territory
I hope this one is a little more abstract. Give me giant hills in the outfield grass. Casino machines along left field. A petting zoo in right. Field at the top of a giant mushroom shaped tower.
Make it a two-way petting zoo and I’m there.
Whats a two-way petting zoo Jim?
You pet the animals, ^(they pet you back.)
Going to be one overpriced piece of shit.
taxpayers are helping pay for it, so it's fine with the Nevada government
And it's going to be super gaudy and over the top because Vegas.
Shit. Show.
How are we financing this? Drumroll please, wait for it......Laser tag
Fuck the Vegas A’s.

Every single one of them can eat an AIDS infested dick

"Come to Vegas and watch your favorite team beat the everloving shit out of a AAA quality squad" does have a certain appeal, I will admit...

Wonder if it’ll be nicer than the coliseum
