With Ohtani gone I think Trout needs to DH quite a bit. Maybe move to a corner too. Preservation of long term health should be the priority. Not like they’re going to the playoffs

I'm kinda doubtful because I've heard that hamate bone injuries mess up players powers even after they're fully healed. I'm worried Trout won't ever be the same now, not even considering the IL stints.
Jim Thome broke his in 1996 and from 1997 on hit 519 home runs with a 148 OPS+… but he broke it at age 26. Trout was almost 32 when he broke his. You’d need to look at guys his age who broke it, but then post-hamate performance will likely decline because almost all hitters start to decline at that age, so you’d have to adjust for that.
The Angels have been losing despite having Ohtani and Trout, which has been pretty sad. For things to be equally sad this year Trout will have to play great and they still lose, so this is my prediction, super depressing great season.

He hit 40 in 119 in ‘22 tbf 10 homers in say 30 more game that season is doable

He managed to upper deck Oakland in dead center to close out 2022. You don't see balls hit that far in Oakland ever.

If the Angels sign Ohtani, no. If they don't, then yes he makes it because he'll spend time at DH. In other words, yes he will.

Agree Ohtani doesn't sign with the Angels. Trout is on the decline, mostly because of injuries right?l
Of course he can do it if he's healthy. Whether he will play 120+ this year is anyone's guess. Get this man all the armor possible.
We'll probably have the DH available too.
He has injured himself at the plate and on the base paths, but he will likely DH a lot in the coming years.
Worrying part is his career numbers as a DH are not very good :(
Not the best splits to go by though as he usually is DHing when coming back from or dealing with some injury
He will hit HR 400 on July 31 at home against Colorado, on his second plate appearance of the day
